Great CPU with great overclokability with custom cooler. Hyperthread really make a difference when rendering with High-End software. I was going for an i5 3570K ok this one and I don't regret going with this i7.

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Pricey

Pros:Fast, great over-clocker, and doesn't run too hot with a decent after market heatsink.
Comment:
If you're into video editing and encoding this is probably the best bang for the $$$. If you will be mostly gaming and web surfing the i5-3570k is a cheaper alternative and put the $100 savings into a better videocard and/or cpu heatsink/water cooler.

Comment:
Bought this CPU with a Noctua NH-D14 so I can't comment if the original fan does a good job but I guess you should go for a better fan if your objective is to reach 4.5Ghz++ with good temps.A MUST HAVE!!

Cons:Stock heatsink isn't very good

Pros:Overclocks very easily
Comment:
Was about to get a 3570k but saw this on sale and picked it up instead, nice improvement over my old E8500. Replaced the stock heatsink with the Cooler Master EVO, as I wouldn't trust the stock heatsink when summer decides to roll around.Very satisfied with my purchase!

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Zero

Pros:Unreal overclocker, reasonably cool, due to very low Vcore needed for 4.5 GHZ. Super duper fast and stable.
Comment:
I have this baby sitting on an Asus Sabertooth Z77 board, with an Antec 920 cooler. If I turn the cooler right up, under full load c 4.5 ghz 1.23 vcore it stays around 74 Celsius. I love it. Huge upgrade, even from my i7 920

Works incredibly well and fast and at the current sale price ($309) it's definitely worth it. I am not using it with the standard fan/heatsink so I can't speak to that, but I am completely happy with this processor and would highly recommend it. It also overclocks great.

Pros:fast, efficient, one of the best cpu for the money

This processor is awesome. Out of the box you get wicked performance, and it only gets better. However the heatsink and fan included are poorly made, so I would highly recommend getting a better heatsink if you are going to overclock this.

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:price

Pros:Low PowerGreat PerformanceExcellent Overclockability
Comment:
This is a fantastic processor. It managed some awesome overclocks (4.8ghz on an H80 setup stable) and really performs like a dream. The only gripe is the price. Intel is on top vs AMD right now and knows it so their processors are being sold at a slight premium. With that said, its fairly reasonable.. but still abit on the high side.
