Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Only 4/8 core VS i7 39XX

Pros:Best for performance and overclocking
Comment:
Best CPU for performance and overclocking. Looking at the bench you will see that is very powerfull for a reasonable price.Very easy to overclock, I did it up at 4Ghz, not too much because of my limitation in cooling, but fair enough for my needs. Have an integrate graphic card, but not usefull for a player.

Very fast CPU and very easy to overclock. My only complaint is it runs hotter than Sandy Bridge. My idle temps are 29°C with my Hyper 612 PWM

if you need a video editing system or things that require CPU horsepower, get this chip. if you are gaming though, get the i5 3570k instead

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Only a minor upgrade from Sandy Bridge.

Pros:22 nm lithography. Higher graphical performance over Sandy Bridge.
Comment:
A small improvement over Sandy Bridge, Intel's latest high end Ivy Bridge CPU is a worthy successor to previous generation CPUs using less power and a minor boost in processing speed.

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:More cores would be nice

Pros:Good Value/Performance
Comment:
This CPU definitely offers future-proof performance that can't be beat. The Ivy Bridge micro arcitecture is currently the most advanced mass-produced seminconductor arcitecture on the planet. Six cores would be nice to have, but honestly, it's nearly impossible to max out this CPU without trying to calculate the last digits of Pi. Contrary to popular beleif, it really does overclock well. I use a simple corsair H60 and it runs at near room temperature all the time.

Cons:None

Pros:Blazing fast, does everything it should do.
Comment:
A processor that stays true to specifications.I have no idea what a very select  few people are saying about this processor overheating. I'm using the stock CPU heatsink with nothing but a $10 bit of Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound and the processor is running at a mere 29 degrees Celsius -- that's nothing! I've yet to do full on gaming, but after a reasonable couple of days as an intensive programmer, this cpu hasn't gone above 35 degrees yet.For the record, I have the NZXT Phantom case, which comes with 4 fans. It's possible that this case's design and fans help reduce the temperatures.

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Comes with a VERY small heat sink.

Pros:Wicked speed for the price.
Comment:
Great buy! Definitely would recommend. I run a ton of engineering programs (solidworks, ect) and I can't get this thing to throttle past 50% with them so it barely breaks a sweat! Only thing is the small heatsink causes this processor to run at a toasty 65 degrees centigrade at 100% load. While this is an acceptable temperature by spec, it leaves zero room for overclocking withing an aftermarket cooler. However, under normal conditions and usage, the processor hovers around 40 degrees.

Cons:-Gets a little hot on stock cooling.

Pros:-best of the best-I don't see too much improvement from the i7 2600k but its priced the same so it's all good.
Comment:
This cpu is a perfect upgrade from an phenom 945 that will probably last a good 5-10 years I would say. Won't overclock as well as the sandy bridge but I won't be running it over 4.5GHz daily anyways.Great Buy

Comment:
It's an i7, what do you expect. This CPU is an unlocked processor, but generates excessive heat ammounts versus SandyBridge or SandyBridge-e, rumors that the heatspreader is not correctly soldered on.Got it 4 weeks ago on my LGA1155 platform.Very good upgradability if you have a pentium, celeron,i3 on a lga1155. Bit pricey.

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:none!

Pros:SUPER quick compared to my 1090t. The benchmarks hit almost twice as much, and overclocked is 2.5 near times faster then my 1090T.The processor is easily overclocked and at a very reasonable price considering the performance. As a template, look at http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.htmlThose are near accurate if you are not sure about this board. My score for passmark actually exceed the benchmarks shown with the maximus V board without overclocking. And with my board overclocked it scores just under the 3960k... but is 700 dollars cheaper!I can now easily stream at 1080p, watch a movie and play a game all at the same time and my processing power is only at 59%!

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:High temperatures when overclocking.Higher temperatures when overclocking with iGPU enabled.Although a much better cpu than the Core i5 750, doesn't add anything more for gaming with discrete graphics card.

Pros:New Ivy Bridge 3d gate technologyHyperthreading technologyQuick Sync for video trancoding in MediaEspresso 6.5 is incredibly quick.Energy efficientLucid MVP allows iGPU HD4000 to be used over discreted graphics card for transcoding.HD4000 great for HTPC and low level gaming at low resolutions.Fast multitasking with 8GB at 1866Mhz.
Comment:
Upgraded from Core i5 750 and the responsiveness of the 3770k, combined with a Maximus V Gene and Intel 520, are significantly quicker and much snappier. And here are the Overclocking results with Maximus V Gene and Corsair H100:4.4 s 1.14v, temperatures: high 40's to low 50's,4.6 s 1.22v, temperatures: mid 50's,4.8 s 1.37v, temperatures: high 60's,5.0 s 1.49v, temperatures: high 70's to low 80's,5.2 s 1.62v, temperatures: mid 90's to over 100 degrees). So, after testing, hitting 4.8 s 1.37v was very easy with the Maximus V Gene, with everything else on Auto. Turning the iGPU on does increase the temps, so if you are going for an agressive overclock, turn the iGPU off; it can be as much as a 5-10 degree differences (preliminary). After testing, the system is so quick, that I decided to keep it at 4.6 with 1.224v, for 24/7 use ... even at idle with 1.224v, the 3770k only consumes about 8 watts, with temps in high 20's to low 30's celcius.Gaming results: Well, it has been documented often enough, that the new ivy bridge doesn't really bring much to the table as fat as helping your discrete graphics card get faster FPSs.Although I am still waiting for the Asus GTX 680 DirectCU II TOP edition GPU to show up at my doorstep, hopefully soon enough because of the backorder, my results show that, using my dated HD 5850, frame rates DO NOT increase compared to 1rst gen Core CPUs (but I already knew that).Anyway, if you are looking for something snappy quick, with 4 cores and 8 threads, that can transcode video quick, with tremendous multitasking ability, then look no further than the 3770k ... because at 4.6GHz ... it IS AMAZING.Happy Gaming!;)

Pros:- Faaaaaaaaaast...- Overclocked to 5.0Ghz without breaking a sweat
Comment:
- On stock voltage, clocked to 4.5Ghz without any problems at ridiculously low temps (28C)- On 1.35V, clocked to 5.0Ghz without any problems at 35C (running Apogee GTZ, AS5 TIM, D5 pump, BI-GTX360 rad)- Have yet to find the upper-threshold but will report when i do!
