Intel Core i7-860 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:16 PCI-E 2.0 lanes

Pros:Fast, overclockable, TurboMode, HyperThreading
Comment:
The i7 860 is a great CPU for power users. The aggressive TurboMode makes it great for gaming, the HT makes it good for highly threaded applications like video encoding. Overclocked to 3.5ghz at stock voltage and running at 60C under load with an after market cooler.

Intel Core i7-860 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Seriously, none I can think of.

Pros:Fast as hellEasy to overclock with a TRUEHyperthreading
Comment:
This CPU replaces an OC'ed Q6600 o 3.5GHz. It simply blows it away. Honestly this upgrade was not a necessity but I can easily feel the difference.

Intel Core i7-860 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:BIG...NOT EVEN ON TOP

Pros:Fast...without OC!Stable.I find it faster than the 920.
Comment:
The issue I had was my perfectly flat TRUE that fit nice and snug on my Q6600 is able to rock on this. I am quite surprised at how uneven this processor is...almost to the unacceptable poing. I will never get any cooling potential out of it unless I lap it or somehow bevel the base of my heatsink. I am very disappointed in this. I know they are not perfect...but this has to have a MM arch in it! Despite that, I am able to keep it below 40c. I am happy with the performance...it is fast...gets a 7.4 with no OC in Windows 7 without reinstalling...which I know would change that to a higher rating. Very Fast!
Comment:
This is a very fast processor. Especially when you overclock it. Some good things Fast! Easily overclockable No significant performance decrease from the 920 with both at same clocks. I own both. Runs cool. Some bad things none! Its great. But for the cash you spend on the 860, you can get a 920. (mobo included with both). The i5 seems to be a very good deal, although the 860 is a smart choice for those who render videos and 3d scenes.

Great processor, BAD packaging
Comment:
Very nice processor, very stable at stock speed and low voltages. OCed to 3.6 GHz @ 1.28v, should do 4.0+ Ghz without a problem with a good aftermarket cooler. This was my first order from Tiger Direct. I placed this order because (you know who, starts with an N) was a little slow putting up the P55 boards on their web site on launch day. Got the processor in 1 day, picked up the package and the processor was free to bounce back and forth in the box (WTH), a $300.00 processor bouncing back and forth in a shipping box. I opened it and found a small piece of paper for packing, not even close to being able to stop the processor from bouncing around all the way here via:UPS. I think i'll stick to the other company from now on.
