Has a fast, stable connection. It's inexpensive but its construction doesn't really feel low-cost or flimsy. I switch it in between machines really a lot and it has held up just fine. None I'm not positive why people today are complaining about the cord length, unless it has changed. The extension cord that came with mine is a bit under 3 feet long.

It does the required job. I had this reader a little more than a month now and it does a good job reading all the sorts of memmory i have. I got it mainly for my SDHC & micro SDHC card my older reader had been not able to read, and i am incredibly happy with the speed and overall outcomes NONE

It does what I was looking for and appears to be made solid. I paid a bit added for this model more than some of the other people and it would seem that the construction and durability are in line. The device is created to be portable so when you are not employing the ports and USB plug, they slide inward and clip into the case. It functions good for the portability I required. The sliding mechanism can be a small difficult to open/close at times.

Fast, effortless to use. Included cable a bit brief, may well mess up SD cards (see below). I had no issues with the reader until the following happened. I was searching at picture on an SD card, and then switched from one card to another. When I opened the second card, I noticed its contents was the very same as the very first one (surprising, considering that the second card came from yet another camera). None of the photos opened, and it seems that the reader rewrote the file system of the second card to match that of the initial, which I didn't request. From now on, I am switching all cards with critical photos into "Write Shield" mode just before inserting them into the reader, and recommend other people do the exact same.

Wonderful reader, functions on cards my devices couldn't read. Quite quick and shows up instantly. none Quit whining about cable length. It comes with a 2ft extension cord. No 1 is going to ship it with a cord as lengthy as a keyboard as that would be hard to manage and ugly.

pocket sized media card reader with great compatibility. Very simple to take with you from pc to pc to pc, even though the cable is a lil short.... non accurate cons because you know acquiring this the cable is brief, and you get a lil extension cord with it but I would have rather observed a retractable cable method When I bought this I was operating Vista x64 now I am operating Windows 7 U x64 and I just purchased the brand new Sony MS Stick Pro Duo (mark2) @ 32gb. This reader had no difficulties handling it...in contrast to the media card reader in my 8710w, Win7 U x64 and it is unable to deal with any MS Pro Duo cards past 4gb.. :'(As usually, really feel free of charge to gmail my at my nickname with concerns or comments

None. It didn't perform the first time I utilized it, I attempted it on one more machine, worked... Tried it on the original machine again, worked.. Tried it a few days later, didn't function... Wound up trying it on two workstations, one laptop all running Linux, and also tried it on my wifes laptop running Win XP. All the identical failures, the card looks like it's there but just errors when mounting it. Linux handled this a bit far better than XP, XP explorer froze and so on..I don't know what the deal may possibly be, but there is one thing wrong with mine and it's not worth sending back at this price, so instead I'll just write a bad review even though I get yet another brand. Utilised flash media, media cards, and this sort of hardware for years. My 1st two old ones generally worked, my current one constantly works, albeit fairly slow.. Hopefully the subsequent 1 works. This 1 went in the trash.

Information x-fer is fine. SDHC cards get cockeyed if you don't push them in specifically appropriately. It's since the slot is build for miniSD/SD/MMC, so to accomodate all the formats, it's not really correct. This is fine when or twice. If you are putting in and taking out SD cards a lot of times every single day -- it gets old rapidly. Not advised for high-frequency card inserts and removals. <insert joke here>

Decently modest. Superior transfer speeds. Supports a wide range of card types. No adapter sleeve needed to convert miniSD to SD. It's very vague exactly where a miniSD card is supposed to be inserted into and there are no instructions. The slot is rather huge to accommodate numerous size cards. miniSD is slightly off of the left-side. Attempt different positions until you get it correct. But as soon as you get the correct place it "feels" correct. I use this item for miniSD exclusively. I had been working with an adapter to go to normal SD on my monitor's card reader, but all I tried had been consistently of poor high quality and fell apart soon after a dozen insertions. This works with out 1 and is much superior.

-Price/Quality-Looks pretty cool.-Lightweight but it feels durable. -Reads at a great speed.-Short Ƒ") USB cord built in. [COMES WITH EXTENSION] This comes in handy when traveling, but for day-to-day use on a Desktop PC the extension cord requirements to be used. Though it is not a issue for me it isn't really long Ɠ Ft?) -Overall it feels pretty low quality. Durable, but not wonderful.-Slightly difficult to put the SD card in the slot. (MicroSD is fine)-Sliding Mechanism is a actually cool concept, though it isn't the easiest to use. Seems to get "Stuck" often and you require to attempt a bit tougher. Maybe this will grow to be easier upon breaking it in? If you're seeking for one thing to get the job performed every single when in a although this is it. If you're searching for something that is top of the line high quality and extremely easy to slide cards in and out, and withstand drops and abuse this may not be it but you'll require to up the price-range.
