Was good while it worked, rapid and quiet. It gets only 1 star simply because of their non honored warranty. Their firmware updates employing their website software did not install correctly and trashed this unit at 10 1ǘ months. Their firmware installation computer software froze up half way though so after ten hours I turned it off and the unit is now trash. even far better I could never get Lite On to replace or fix it. I guess their 1 year warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. The 4th but final Lite On solution I will ever buy, put an LG in its location. At least LG and my Premium Plextor (made by LG) take firmware updates just fine. Bought the new LG BH12LS35 12X BluRay burner and it is good.

Bought this to retain charges down in my construct. Operates good, no difficulties. Does what it wants to do for a affordable price. fits fine, reads fine. It doesn't bring me meals for the duration of lengthy gaming sessions. No SATA cable, but not a con at ฤ for the drive. Sort of loud, but it is what it is.

pros? what's that? this drive bites. it takes 3x longer to burn a dvd ྴmin) than my preceding burner. no support from business to assist in case of some error on my end. how could there be tho? just plug it in and go, proper? i'll under no circumstances purchase liteon once again.

I have employed Liteon just before and they work effectively. This one particular was on sale w/f ship and I got it mainly because of the DL and litescribe. I like the capability to do litescribe and this fits the bill. None, really like these litescribe dvd/DL RW players when they're on sale. Comes with NERO9 application........that's very good for the litescribe element. I use a program to turn bluray into 1080p onto dvd, so I need to have the dual layer feature. To use litescribe you need a system to do it and that system was supplied. If the system is only good for litescribe, then hey, you got your moneys worth. CD/DVD drives are a have to, this is just as good as any with a twist........litescribe and the dual layer feature and the included disk.

Quiet drive - immediately after installation worked wonderfully for the very first month and a half Immediately after owning for a month and a half, when working with this Lite-On drive as a source drive to copy to one more burner, I had two CDs get stuck in the drive and the surfaces of the CDs have been marred by the drive so undesirable that they had been unplayable from then on. Will not by a Lite-On drive again regardless of commonly excellent reviews. Service from NewEgg was excellent, as usual. I have purchased LG, Samsung and Asus CD/DVD burners from them which have worked perfectly, the Samsung being utilized heavily for the superior component of two years. Thought I would give Lite-On a try. Going back to the other businesses.

Super easy installation. Super Fast Shipping! Ordered on Monday, received on Wednesday! Not a single difficulty with it. Quiet, quickly, and just plain ideal! I didn't even recognize it was Lightscribe, didn't care, just needed a cheap dvd burner. Also came with bundled software! Getting a totally free copy of NERO 8 was a Enormous BONUS! It doesn't get me a beer during long LAN parties. Bought this to replace an old dvd burner I had. The tray didn't wanna open sometimes and then one day it just stopped burning DVDs. Then, attempted to install a DVD game it got half way and went nuts, started makin crazy noises and spinning way too rapidly. Picked this up to replace it. This drive is 10x quieter and operates really smooth. As always Newegg pulls by means of again. I swear if it wasn't for these guys I'd be on a low cost manufactured pc. But as an alternative I got a rockin program for a affordable price. Thanks Newegg!

Its rapidly, cost-effective, and successful. I have no concept why any individual would purchase an expensive optical drive over this a single. If they've got extra income to burn then they can send it to me.This drive is wonderful. Lightscribe works wonderfully and the burn/read times are great. Can't read BD as properly.

It is a fantastic functioning multi-burner drive with lightscribe. This drive is also SILENT! I can't even tell it is running half the time. Does not go 1000 Gb/s. I bought two of these and they operates fantastic! Silent drives also!

Price tag....and simple to install. It only lasted three and a half months just before crapping out on me. When it died it.....it would no longer read discs. You could place any type of disc in....but it would not read it. For the value.....I am not upset with how extended it lasted. I utilized the heck out of for those 3 months....so I got my moneys worth out of it.

I ordered two, 1 for the wifey and the other for me, and both came with their personal copy of Nero 9 Essentials and were nicely packaged. I haven't had the drives for as well lengthy, but I am putting them to function. I'd advise this drive to any person only due to the low cost and feature set. Can't get much far better!

Inexpensive and swift. Lightscribe. none I've had this for a couple of month's now and have burned numerous DVD/CD's with it. It has never burped burning or had an challenge reading.

It performs for reading CDs/DVDs. have not attempted burning but, hope it doesn't die out immediately after a few months. none so far. Really low cost price for a decent DVD burner drive.

Good bang for your buck No SATA cable being that it's OEM. I believed I didn't require it, but I didn't think hard sufficient. That's my negative. GET THE RETAIL VERSION... IT COMES WITH A SATA CABLE and is only a couple of bucks more. Otherwise you'd have to spend for an further cable someplace else.

Functions like I expected- though expectations aren't that high at the moment as the wife just left me for my best buddy. Spin nose tolerable at mid RPM, but at higher spool speeds can be a tiny annoying if it's close to your head as is mine on top the desk. My wife left me and.... Wonderful deal! Thanks Newegg

Inexpensive. Cheaply built. I've had no less than 7 Lite-on drives (from three seperate batch purchases spread out more than a year) fail in the previous 18 months, they just cease ejecting but will nonetheless read discs if you use the pin (manual) eject to swap discs. Disassembled the first couple to see if I can come across out what the difficulty is, and nothing at all seems to be broken -- the motor that ejects the tray is just abruptly too weak to push the tray out. I applied to get absolutely nothing but lite-on drives, but in the past year the "new" ones I've bought have all failed. Moved on to other drive suppliers. The sad element is that these drives are also cheap to warrant paying the postage and investing the time to box up and send back for repair/replacement, if I could even uncover such an choice. Hope you get your act with each other Lite-on; I miss shopping for your goods. The LG I bought to replace your drives has been working strong for months now.
