No reliability difficulties right after 9 months of ownership. I haven't had any troubles with it at all. None that I know of. I saw some persons complaining about not getting in a position to write disks in other evaluations. I'm sorry I can't say I have tried significantly of that yet, I largely use it as a DVD player.

Decent burner, I lucked out with a B chipset. Very good price. I recommend you pair this with some Verbatim DVD+R DL media.

Low-cost price, in truth I feel I got it for no cost on a combo deal. I like that it has Lightscribe and duel layer. Nicely known firm. For 20 bucks there need to be no uncertainty. Has worked, no troubles because I bought it. none but Installed in build, so installation was accomplished by Windows on initially boot. Never had to mess with it.

Operates as advertized. Purchased a pair so I can copy on the fly. Copys files at a very good rate with no errors so far. Works well, low-cost = wonderful deal No computer software with it but I knew this when I purchased them. Have a belt drive drawer open close mechanism, which is different that the gears I am utilised to, but not a con, just unique. The value for the pair was fantastic, and wish I had carried out it sooner. Also wish it was a 6 gig/second drive, but lets not get greedy for this value range. I also required a bit of explanation as to how to make it do what I wanted it to do which is to make archival copys of my disks, and figure out how to use them to record movies onto my SDHC cards and Jump drives to use for watching movies even though travelling without having having so significantly battery wasted spinning my laptop DVD player so it will last longer and I can see a whole movie! Speak about a run on sentence!

I bought this same model in Might of last year. A couple thousand dvd's burned and it was time for a different.Actually the old one is nevertheless operating fine it was just beginning to get a little additional loud than i liked. So I opted for another at the same price as the last.This model (iHAS224) has given me good value for my dollars and Newegg's service is above all other people on the net.I placed my order on 3ብ񳏋 and delivery was made on 3ቦ񳏋. Cant beat that. Newegg rocks! n/a

Low value, quiet operation (save for opening, see beneath), functions speedily and nicely, functions with Linux. No cable integrated (expected, as it's OEM) somewhat noisy opening when finished burning I just required some thing to perform, and wanted to play with Lightscribe (in defense to possibly not unjustified complaints about my handwriting from my beautiful wife). This fits the bill. For an economical price, it installs with out concern. I use CentOS, so created no use of the driver disk. Each burning and lightscribe function fairly well. As others have said, it can be rather loud when opening after undertaking a burn, but burning, whether or not actual DVD or lightscribe label, is quiet. I'm incredibly pleased with it.

As usually, extremely rapidly shipping by Newegg. I've got 4 of these and I'm a lot more then happpy with them. These two are going in a new construct for myself. None yet.

Looks very good in its place. I bought 2 of these. LightScribe! Each read and write so no complaints here... None Got em when no cost shipping was on promo. So it was incredibly low cost...

I burned 15 dvs in a row with imgburn at 10x and only had 1 mis-write. not bad for a ร burner, haven't tried any DL dvd's but. none

Operates fine as a normal CD/DVD burner. The Lightscribe does not perform and my technique reports the drive as an ide drive not a SATA drive. About two weeks ago I sent an email to Lite-On to get some support, they did not even acknowledge my e-mail. The only reason I purchased the drive was for the Lightscribe feature.

It is a lite-on, it will work, I know this with out even testing the burning capabilities. And it does litescribe, cool! Tray works vertically. Lite-on used to hand out white bezels, what occurred with that?

For the price it can't be beat. I mean, after all I necessary 1 and have applied Lite on ahead of without having a difficulty. Lightscribe is the icing, my youngsters scream for lightscribe. I scream back by telling them to go acquire their own disks for it then. None I picked it up over the an additional brand I have laying around and threw it into a construct and presto, worked with out a issue. I still have a couple lite on drives working immediately after a couple years. The cost couldn't be beat so I bought it as a spare.

It has additional logos on the front than I may well like. I'm not incredibly worried about the color.Be sure to don\'t forget this is an OEM drive. Comes with a drive and Nero 9. No cables.

Very good cost for a DVD writer with LightScribe support. Mine came with Nero 8 Essentials Kinda noisy when it's reading a disc

Works fantastic out of the box. Easy to install, and my default drivers worked fine with it. Burns CDs and DVDs just fine. My last optical drive died pretty speedily, and this one looks like it's going to last. Kindof noisy

Brother's old drive crapped out so I stuck with a brand I knew made great burners. Motherboard I bought didn't have PATA so this SATA drive is speedier and reliable. The lightscribe is definitely an bonus at the low cost as well. Also, it's a lot smaller than other optical drives I've had so if you need case-space, this drive rocks! Would recommend over and over again!
