I don't know, in no way got the drive to give a "pro". I was sent a normal Lite-On DVD Drive and not the burner. Even though I got the incorrect DVD Drive it was not packaged really well. Slight ding on the back bottom of the drive. I'll possibly order the drive once more in the future and hold this a single with out returning it getting I need to have a drive for my not too long ago replace Computer.

This is for my new pc that im building. Slick back color, quickly, quite, low-cost, and Newegg rox as always with fast shipment. It came with Nero 8? I was hoping for Nero 9 Essentials. It's all superior!

For the price tag, you can't beat this device. I ordered several of these to install into consumer builds. They were on sale at the time and I got Free shipping. The lightScribe function is great also. I installed 1 into a machine that I use, due to the fact mine was going on 8 years of faithful service. Had it installed in about 10 minutes and it's operating great. Get a single...or several when Newegg has them on sale! Device runs quiet and it opens Quickly! The only thing I noticed....it sort of tends to make a loud click when it closes....and it could be just this one. If you recognize technologies, you begin to realize that not every single single device is going to be best. But like I said...it performs fantastic and I wasn't going to deny it that fifth star simply because of that. None that I can consider of.......performs good......get one particular!

Bought this to be the main optical drive in my new develop, and it has worked effectively. Makes a tiny bit of noise when it's spinning a disk up, but that's standard and really tolerable.Burns CDs rapid.. as well rapidly. It may be my inexpensive CDs from the local superstore, but when I let the burner go at max speed, the final track, from time to time final two tracks will skip. Turned it down to 16x and the issue went away. Watch your speed.

Possibly I don't get the entire SATA point but all I know is I have located a lot of people today who are experiencing the similar Seriously SLOW BURNS (If it burns at all). In addition, LiteOn doesn't even support this model with any firmware upgrades. I am pulling it and putting my IDE drive back in. Glad it is working for other people.

Burns Discs No software program at all. Normally OEM drives at least in the previous have come with a disc with some standard software package but this factor came with totally practically nothing. Its a lightscribe drive no application. Not even Nero Essentials. One particular other issue is the noise, I know its a affordable drive but this factor is loud, I imply truly loud. It drowns out my 650W power provide and ATI HD 5830. Decided to invest a little added dollars and go for a Blu-Ray combo drive instead. Utilizing this drive as a second drive for DVD to DVD copying...ahem...backing up.

Mine did not. Sara @ Newegg CS Chat callously stated it's luck of the draw. There's no guarantee to get Nero disc on OEM purchases. Minus three eggs for her indifference.
