This was probably the weak point of my build, as I had to spare money for other parts. In the future I may try to get a Blu-ray capable device. Anyway, what I did get was a great device for the money. It's quiet and signals up fast and efficiently. I haven't tried recording a movie to my hard drive yet, but will do so soon. But, I have no doubt that this player will handle the data transfer very well.

i bought this burner to replace my old burner and i have to say that i bought it because of the price but i was extremely impressed by it's performance. the light scribe feature works flawlessly and the burning function is quick and runs like a dream. i'm beyond happy with my purchase!

original burner went out about one month after warranty expired. so I decided to upgrade to a lite-on with litescribe just wish I had remembered to order labels when ordering the drive.

Great value! Installs quickly and without difficulty. Works great with Windows 7 64-bit. Haven't used the Lightscribe yet but I have used Nero software in the past. Very pleased with purchase so far.

works like a dream. for those who haven't used lightscribe the blanks are a few dollars more than standard blanks but worth it when you see the labels you can BURN ONTO THE DISC. I am a DJ and my daughters are cheerleaders so I am always cutting and mixing tracks for the cheer squads. The custom burned labels with the school logo on the disc is a BIG hit. Buy it and learn it, it's very easy and fun to play with. just think of the applications, dvd's,cd music, photo albums, it's endless!!

I like Lite-On drives. Been buying them for years. Go off to a rocky start with this one. The first drive did not reliably write beyond 3.1 GBs. No firmware updates available from Lite-On. However, their Replacement process was smooth as silk. The second one works as advertised. Haven't had a chance to use Lightscribe yet. I don't use the included software but I never do. It's a little louder than my previous Lite-On DVD writer, but no big deal. I'm starting to see the prices come down on this model, so there's a good chance it will be an even better value.

Worked very fine, quiet, etc. Very inexpensive! Did have question about speed when reading a system DVD but it may have been a problem with tha tone media. haven't had time to test further. Otherwise it has worked very well.

I use many replacement DVD's for our computer club members and know that Lite-On is going to preform best for them, day in and day out.

It's OEM people! Plugged it in It's Great!! Replaced my LG (Lousy Garbage!) that had it's own brain! Register Nero 8 (Incl) & get litescribe up-date! Dahh!! Work's Fine outta last a long time!
