Utilizes screws and a backplate for install, not the awful plastic pins Intel favors. Decent performance, slightly far better than stock. Fantastic price! Motherboard have to be removed for installation - it's worth it though. I take care of a number of aging machines at a medium-sized business and keep these on hand so as the original fans fail, I can speedily swap them out.

This is a fantastic functional item. Its a great top quality fundamental cooler. Mounting hardware is metal and secures nicely. If your more than clocking or have special cooling wants you ought to look greater in the price point. Runs 24ǝ in my property media server.

Screw mounts rather of those lame, unreliable plastic push mounts that other more notable brands have recently switched too. You don't want to remove the mother board and use the mount that comes with this (at least in my motherboard), so this was a perfect replacement for a failed cpu fan/heat sink. None that I can see. Plastic push-mounts are unreliable and fail to make great enough get in touch with, but this brand makes use of superior old screw mounts! A+++.

Low Expense, Keeps your CPU fairly Cool. Fan does not sound like a Turbofan Intake. Does NOT use those stinking Intel Plastic Pushpins that are full of FAIL. Requires you to remove your Motherboard to mount if your case does not present access to the underside of your CPU. Had to get rid of this Cooler to re-seat the CPU & noticed that the washers on this cooler had been scraping against the heat sink, leaving tiny metal shavings on the motherboard. Lucky for me I noticed this, considering that this could have shorted out my board. Don't know if this is just a difficulty with mine, or with all of them. So be Extremely cautious of metal shavings when removing or installing this thing. hence the 1 egg deduction.

Affordable, uncomplicated to install, fits nicely in modest places. need paste and has a little surface region that comes in get in touch with with CPU. Cant go wrong for less then ten bucks. Fit nicely in my HTPC.

absolutely awesome, was hesitant for 8.99, thought an additional dollar store item, but, i was wrong, this lil guy keeps goin and goin, Really silent, good size, keeps CPU about 40-45c last time i checked, not poor at all. acquire it. didnt acquire more of these just to have about >:[ did i mention its silent?

Greatest advantage is that it uses screws instead of the clips. I totally hate the clips that come stock with Intel processors. Its a excellent price here on newegg. Saw this identical 1 at a local personal computer store and they were charging 20 bucks. Goes on nicely and even comes with some thermal grease if you require it. none for an average construct
