Price tagBuilt in core unlocker/overclockerNo issues with the board so far Heatsink on the north bridge gets hot adequate to fry an egg on, literally, it hurts to touch it.Does not support crossfire even although it has two pci express slots. Every little thing posted on the very first boot and had no difficulties installing all the parts. I did have a small difficulty lining up all the screw holes to get the mobo in, allthough that is most likely a dilemma with the case not the board.

Overclocking works like a DREAM! It's in all probability so simple that my mom could do it. Every thing ran nicely. Randomly died on me after much less than three months. I went to bed and it was working, woke up and it wasn't. I'm fairly disappointed in that. Overall it was a good mo-bo. I'll in all probability end up paying a lot more for a far better MSI board subsequent time. This board is simply awesome for the price tag. The Overclocking and Utilities are extraordinary and SO uncomplicated!!MSI you produced a believer out of me Can't truly believe of any. I knew it would be tiny. Produced setup a genuine challenge but was so worth it I am going to obtain a second board when this is back in stock just in case. For the price it's worth just having a spare sitting mainly because now I don't want an additional brand.

I built my very first program in more than ten years for my son. So I was a small out dated on circumstances/mb/power supplies. I went with this MB, inexpensive AVEXIRDDR3 1333 2G Sticks ƒ) and AMD XII 555 BE edition processor. With stock settings everything worked fine. The least little bit of overclocking and the technique would blue screen 5 to 20 minutes right after booting. Checked temps and they had been ok. So I switched to ADATA Gaming Series 4GB ƒ x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory. With the new ADATA memory installed and enabling the cores and overclock genie I got all 4 cores to perform and got 3.48 ghz on the X2 555 dual core processor.Temps run mid 30's with no load on the processsor to 50 c making use of burn in computer software maxing the CPU and Video card.I am working with a low end cool master 80 MM Fan/Heatsink for cooling.Quite happy! None. The key for me was acquiring greater grade memory to unlock cores and improve processor overclock. Keeps this in thoughts.

It does precisely what it says it does on the box. That means a lot to me. Best notch craftsmanship The manual isn't worth the paper it was printed on. They either want to give more detailed bios info or don't offer a manual at all. I normally pay a lot additional and get a lot less from motherboard producers. I'll be checking out MSI again in the future

I'm amazed on how fantastic it is. No parts damaged or something. My gaming experience thanks to this motherboard. Ethernet port nor the audio chipset isn't operating i utilised the cd but my pc isn't reading something. I went on to their website for support and i'm just disappointed at the outcomes. It was like they are putting no effort into something I would not highly recomened this product unless you will need a affordable item. Msi could do better then that but otherwise... It's decent. It's put together well. I can\'t get the sound to function at all. I've tried multiple various speakers but no dice. Pros:Inexpensive, works up to the X4 955 at least

I've had a few of these boards. It seems they've finally fixed the mofset issues and you can use USB keyboards at first boot. It used to be it would only see PS/2 ones for some reason. All in all, the best board for this price.

I purchased this motherboard for its AM3 socket, ddr3, and core unlocker. I purchased a AMD 555 BE from a shop on the cheaps and it unlocked perfectly to a quad core with the core unlocker and the ease of overclocking is unbeatable. It took me five minutes to realize the core unlocker wasn't operating, becuase I hadn't enabled ACC, which is my dumb mistake for not realizing that. I will save other people the 5 mins I wasted and tell you to enable ACC which is right below the core unlocker in the BIOS, save you settings, and then use the core unlocker. Stupid me

Works right out of the box. Comes with very solid BIOS setup and the update is seriously simple too. The raid utility is a breeze to use. If applied for a cross-fire scenario, you'll locate a lack of space for anything other than a PCIx1 card. The paper manual is also a small confusing - but the CD that comes with it us much a lot more helpful.

Price HAS THE RED O.C. SWITCH WITH 2 TOGGLES CHANGED TO 15% O.C. TOOK MY three.3 TO 3.79 AND IT ALSO SET MY 1600 RAM TO 1550.JUST BY FLIPPING THE SWITCH.HAS THE BLUE LIGHT'S FOR BOOT Difficulty'S. NONE FOR THE Price BUT IT IS ONLY THE 770 CHIP WHY SO Cheap. I HAVE 2 OTHER MSI M.B. WITH THE RED BOX FOR O.C. WHY I Purchased THIS.Wonderful Concept NO 1 ELSE HAS IT AND IN A LOW Cost BOARD.I'M ONLY ON A 4850 Due to the fact OF THE 770 CHIP.YOU COULD RUN A Higher V.C. BUT YOU COULD ALSO FRY THE CHIP OUT IF YOU GO TO HIGH.THIS BOARD CAN Handle 1600 RES. IN GAMING.HIGH AS I WOULD GO.

-Excellent price-Quantity of PCI, PCIe, and PCIe 2. x16 slots-four slots of RAM-OC Genie-ACC-6 USB Rear ports-UNLOCKED PHENOM II X2 555 BE None so far; I anticipate to run into concerns. This is my 2nd MSI board. The thing I don't like about MSI boards is their BIOS menu. But that's just preference. I've always found it cumbersome to interpret MSI's version of what others call one thing else in their BIOS. Uncomplicated stuff, but no massive deal.Still, the bottom-line is, even if this thing has some minor issue that comes up, it would have been worth it at the cost, so lengthy as it does not totally become dysfunctional. All of the above pros (and other functions I have not listed), the ability to unlock the Phenom II X2 555 BE into four cores, and it's price make it a Excellent Purchase for me. Due to the fact I had a tough time confirming which boards could unlock, I was very wary of which boards to purchase. Soon after considerably investigation, I even took a opportunity when buying this board. I am confirming that this board does indeed unlock. For those that say that it doesn't, there's a cause why. Not all Phenom II X2 555 BE's can be unlocked. Some can only unlock 3 cores, so if you can't unlock four, try 3. Also, even if you can unlock, there's a opportunity it may be stable, and that's not even taking into account overclocking. So if you can unlock all 4 cores, and OC to a stable frequency, then take into account yourself lucky. The bottom-line is, don't expect to be able to unlock and have stable OC 100% of the time. Even in other locations on the world wide web where people say specific boards are capable of unlocking, the CPUs themselves may possibly not be capable. This is a cumulation of my study over the final few weeks. Hopefully, I saved someone some time.

Good cost for this class of motherboard. Board is pretty well laid out. CPU socket is quite close to memory slots. I utilised a significant cooler for my 6 core CPU and the heatsink covers 1 memory slot. I installed it beforehand, so it worked, but if I ever need to replace or troubleshoot memory, it's gonna be an concern. Also, wouldn't POST with the x6 1090T CPU I purchased. I specifically checked all the motherboards I looked at to make positive they supported x6 and this said it did. On the other hand, I had to obtain an AM3 CPU locally in order to boot the board to the point exactly where I could flash the BIOS with the newest version that then allowed the technique to boot. If I had applied a Dual or Quad core CPU, I would have given the board five stars. It was the frustration and expense incurred in finding the board to support what it stated it did out of the box that irritated me. A create that should have taken only an afternoon ended up taking a week and I had to limp along with an ancient technique in the interim.I've utilised MSI a lot in years past and didn't have complications with them. The last numerous years I've built Shuttle systems for clients and gotten away from discrete builds like this. I forgot how a lot more perform it is! A Shuttle is ready to boot in fifteen minutes! :)Now that all is finished, this program screams! 16GB RAM, 128GB OCZ Vectra two SSD, etc. Windows 7 Ultimate is at the desktop in much less than 30 seconds and Ubuntu is prepared in about 10 seconds!

Can support newest AMD GPU (PhenomX2,X4,X6), has the Core unlock technology, which is wonderful... but I didnt manage to make it work appropriately yet. Theres an OC switch, which I havent tried, but it's a excellent feature too. And I enjoy the cool and quiet technologies! I find the lack of Heatsinks on the MOSFET pretty sad. I didnt intend to OC my pc, but with this motherboard... you cant even feel about overclocking... well yes you could think of it, but you would need to install some aftermarket heatsinks on the board. Can't manage to unlock the cores of my Phenom X2 555 BE without my technique getting challenge to run my application but, so if any individual can aid it would be good :)

For the price, it does the job it is supposed to do and it does it well. The MSI military grade quality is pretty good as well. It however lacks SATAIII and USB 3.0 so I would recommend paying a bit more for the MSI 870-G54.

This is a good motherboard for a budget build. It is inexpensive but it works fine. It has a core unlocker, and a oc geanie but I havn't used them yet. I've read that the mofsets exploded when used with a 125w cpu but I have not had any problems using my Phenom II X4 955 cpu which is 125w. When you send your rebate you have the option of express shipping which will send your rebate in 7 days instead of 8-10 weeks for 1 dollar off your rebate which is great.
