excellent layout, great cost incompatible with the mushkin ram i purchased. I located this out right after a LOT of troubleshooting. there is Absolutely NO REASON the ram I bought shouldn't function with this motherboard. I rma'd the mobo and the dilemma was still there, so it wasn't just 1 board. i'm just going to buy new ram from a diverse company. Nice layout, fit my case perfectly and began out to be a strong performer with my new (first time user of) AMD card. It can run like the wind when it desires to. Random BSOD's all concerning memory. Evidently, from what I've read (after the reality) this is one of several small quirks - Not MSI's fault overall, factors occur, but it's all complications I don't need to have. I've ran Memtest on every single stick, one at a time, many times over, have tried three diverse memory brands from the QVL list, each 1333 and 1066 - two sets which I bought, and 1 I bummed to attempt, and nonetheless I get a random BSOD, concerning memory managment or BCCode 50. I've reinstalled Windows 7x64 so several times I can do it with my eyes shut, and nonetheless I get the random blues. My next step is an exorcist if I can discover one affordable, due to the fact I'm out much more cash than I paid for the board to start with. I'm stuck performing my work on my son's personal computer and frankly have just about had it. My subsequent step I guess is to just write this one off and go with one more model or brand, simply because I can't afford anymore down time due to the fact of this (what would appear) easy difficulty I can't figure out. This mobo is remarkable for the cost a actually superior deal for military class components and all of the other characteristics it has. I was able to unlock my Atlon x3 to a Phenom x4 simply.It looks nice also. 1 SATA cable but not definitely a large deal mainly because their like two $ anyways. If your searching for a mid level mobo this is the 1 for you.

so far it's a good board. The MSI software is a little noobish, but most motherboard auto-update  programs try too hard without really delivering. Overclocking features are there, but I still need to learn to properly access and use them for my 1090T' full potential.

This board is not expensive and using it with Phenom II 3.0 Ghz chip, overclocked to 3.62 Ghz with 8 GB RAM. The computer flies and the BIOS is very easy to use. Plenty of room to expand but will require a large ATX case.

For the price, this baby is a great budget gaming motherboard. It will do everything it needs to flawlessly. Would buy for a budget computer again!

This is a basic AM3 board (not AM3+) with 6 SATA ports and 2 PCI-E 16x slots (second slot runs at 4x tho). It lacks a lot of features like FireWire, eSATA, SATA 6 Gbps, USB 3.0, integrated graphics, etc. but if you need a no frills board for folding or mining, it's hard to argue with the price.The only thing I really dislike about it is the placement of the 2nd PCI-E slot. If you put a 2 slot card in there, there is no room between it and the case floor (or power supply) unless the case has 8 expansion slots instead of the usual 7. I bought this board from NCIX yesterday along with a AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition, Anyways long story short NCIX shouldn't be selling this %$^&. If possible I would sue their %#$, Anyway here's how it went... I was playing Crysis 2 everything seemed fine, So I went to take a shower suddenly during my shower I was interrupted with the fire alarm going off in my apartment and nasty smelling smoke throughout the air so I ran to my computer and could see smoke coming out from the motherboard so I shut it off immediately. Afterwards I decided to asses this problem myself well reading online I came across others having this same problem, the explanation is this board cannot be paired with the more powerful processors because it causes the Mosfets to literally explode due their inability to withstand the required temps produced by the higher end processor. Honestly I don't even know why NCIX is still selling this garbage. To make things worse when I went into the NCIX in Burnaby the next day where I originally bought this motherboard the tech guy on duty told me I was screwed and to deal with being computer less... Now if you ask me that's not too professional because I wanted a replacement,Either way I still haven't given up and will try getting my money back for a new board at another NCIX location. Also for the sake of argument I've tested my power supply on another setup since I know sometimes that may be the cause but I encountered no problems at all my psu is a Corsair 650w. Anyway I am deeply sorry for anyone else who encounters this tragic fate. Sorry about the Satisfactory rating that I've given, Its just that I doubt NCIX would approve of this review after reading it but this being an exception its urgent everyone else is aware of this problem with the amount of people buying this board for NCIX.

really superior board, had some complications in the beginning because 1 of my ram sticks was dead, i didnt acquire them from newegg.ca ...but got ram exchange i put them in and magic ... so far working with no difficulties and i have to give 5 stars to shipping and customer service thanks newegg.ca none

Got this board as combo deal with an X4 810. They work well together, but I am not overly taxing the system as I am using it as a WHS box only. Install went smoothly so no complaints in that regard. I would recommend for a budget build any day.

Not a bad board, This is my first MSI motherboard, i normally buy gigabyte or asus.Only thing i dont like about this board is the Dram setting you can not set the right voltage, So if you have 1.65v memory, then you will have to set it to 1.63 or 1.67 which ever one is stable for you.

I did not care for SATA3 nor USB 3.0 and for this price, why would you? I bought it because it's next gen DDR3 and could do crossfire. Amazing value and works well

Not ideal for Crossfire - One x16 and one x4 PCI-E slots so no matching x16 video cards here, it's a mix or two x4 cards.It has three regular PCI slots but only two can be used if a PCI-E video card is installed so really there are two PCI slots here.The DIMM(1) slot is the one closest to the cpu socket (black DIMM channel) making the new style of RAMM with large metal heatsinks collide with 3rd party CPU heatsinks like the Arctic Cooler Freezer Pro Rev2. Stick to the retail box heatsink or use RAM without the metal heatsink like Kingston Value RAM.Like others I find the lack of cables, well lacking.Even though it's mounted using all it's standoff screws the board flexes way too much when connecting the headers. I felt I needed to put a finger on the edge to support it when connecting the power, sata and IDE headers in the lower right corder area.I could not install Win7 (from an official OME disk) using my old IDE DVD drive. Bought this motherboard 4 days ago and it failed on bios update  and now its bricked, currently waiting for ncix to finally reply to my ticket about my problem. Otherwise its an OK board for quite cheap. But if I were you I would put in $40 more and go for a quality mobo which wount die on you the next day. And it does feel quite clumsy and cheap.

Great board for a budget build, i bought this in a combo for a great deal. Not gonna be doing any overclocking with this but it has all the features you need for a mid end computer. I can't really complain about anything. I like that the sata ports are angled, makes the overall build look prettier.

Rebate was a bit of a pain, but whatever.With G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL Ripjaws you have to manually choose the timings.Works great with a Powercolor 5770 PCS+ too.
