Incredibly inexpensive. Supports a single stick of RAM (some demand two sticks). This factor will actually update the BIOS automatically from inside Windows 7. This is definitely not for games or any sort of high end apps. Have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit running on this with:nVidia 8400 GS 256MBtwo GB RAM (x1 stick)two.five Ghz Dual Core Processor (E5200)Bought this for my parents last Christmas.

Value. Functionality. Worked out of the box. The computer software that comes with it involves a no cost 60 day trial of Norton, which will be superb when I give this as a Christmas present. In truth, the software program that it comes with is usually great all around. The pins for the front panel are not labeled on the board itself. I had to look up the pinouts in the owner's manual. Not a large con, but it did imply an further 10 minutes of operate. I got this to run an Intel Core 2 Duo and stuck it in a Foxconn 436 mATX case for a Christmas present this year. It handles every thing very nicely for a spending budget board, so I had to give it the five eggs. I bought it at a neighborhood retailer because if I got a DOA board it would have been a lot less complicated to resolve it that way. Still, this board is strong and in retrospect I most likely would have gotten a great one from newegg.

Truly rapid board. Boots faster and handles the tough assignments without having hesitation. I applied a core two two.7 this time with it and located it runs superior than some quad cores. Had a boat load of problems, intermitten at first. Traced it to the two SATA cables that came with this board. So beware of the BSOD and the can't find boot media messaged. this is the 2nd or 3rd purchase of MSI socket 775 MB's I've constructed and they have all performed effectively. and they do have excellent assistance from the manufacturer. the greatest difficulty with their web page is: don't us msi.comuse: us.msi.com (do not use the www.) telephone quantity: 626-913-0815

Low-cost; a fair bit of over-clocking alternatives; supports up to 8 GB of memory; supports 2 PATA devices BIOS detected incorrect processor's speed; manual can be a little bigger; will not assistance any RAM lower than 667 This is the 2nd MSI board I purchased. I was quite happy with the 1st, so I decided to give this 1 a opportunity. With the DDR2's costs sky-rocketing, I wonder why the board supports up to 8 GB; besides, this is a low end board! In spite of the RAM spec., I tried some old RAMs that had been not 667 or 800---it would not boot. I do not know why the BIOS would not detect the proper speed of a Celeron e3200 initially, but it does immediately after I started changing some settings in the BIOS. I did have trouble installing XP initially, but sooner or later the course of action did say CRC errors so I knew it was my 15 years old, very first generation HP CD writer! If I, in 3 months, get my บ.00 rebate, I will bump up this item an additional egg! By and large it is a fairy very good low budget board!

Its a nice hunting, tiny board. Good north/south bridge heatsinks, well designed.NewEgg, of course, packed this and my new XFX Radeon HD 4770 fairly properly, no damage due to shipping. Quick shipping, low cost alsoŋ Egg for NewEggs rapid shipping! Board was DOA (Dead on Arrilval).Would not POST, gave 3 long beeps. Tried RAM, CPU, absolutely nothing. Named up MSI tech support and they told me it was dead immediately after about 30 seconds on the telephone.MSI customer and tech support is certainly TERRIBLE!last time I obtain from MSI.Dont let this assessment scare you away, i bet its a excellent board when it actually works =] I spent more than four hours with MSI tech assistance on and offline, immediately after ultimately connecting to some tech guy with no expertise of hardware, immediately after 3 seconds he told me his computer told him my motherboard is dead and that i want to RMA it.

I've been ordering one of these weekly for the the last 6 weeks. We've got a slew of Pentium 4 Celeron Dimension 2400's that we're gutting and rebuilding with these as the heart, keeping only the case and optiical drive from the original unit. This mobo fits perfectly and all the situation connections fit as needed with the exception of the single front-panel audio; which for our small business isn't used anyway. Working with this mobo I can strip down the old unit replace the internals, and be installing software program within an hour. Only con I can assume of is the previously talked about mis-fit for the case's front panel audio; and because that's due to the proprietary connector on the situation, it is NOT a con I hold against this mobo. Not that the Dimension 2350 seems to have proprietary connectors for front panel USB as properly as audio. This mobo, an E5300 cpu, two Gb of Gskill RAM, a WD 160 GB tough drive, and a Seasonic SSII 330 Watt Psu (probably overkill but a wonderful item that will allow a devoted GPU should I will need to go that way in the future) and I've got a Win-7 capable machine ࿀ bit) with all parts delivered by NewEgg for ~趤. For yet another ~โ, I could switch to 4GB of Gskill and be ready for Win-7 64-bit. The closest I could come with a new replacement from the Austin folks would haver run about 趚 more.

STABLE! MB is straightforward. Several MB connectors for extra front and rear E-SATA and USB ports. Included SW tends to make it literally a no-brainer to OC. Great MB for the cost. Not a cutting edge board but is a great DDR2 LGA775 MB to build a competent powerful technique. Win7 installs on it like a dream. General I am quite content with this MB. Very few. No onboard RAID. Be aware that a lengthy double slot video card (such as the EVGA GTX 280) obstructs 2 of the four SATA connectors onboard (try making use of correct angled SATA cables to remedy this). Also a long double vid card will press firmly down upon the front panel wire headers (it fits but is extremely snug) Only 2 DIMM slots for memory but this was not a dilemma for me as I only had two DIMMs. Some reviewers comment/complained on the confusing pin-out of the front panel headers. Consult the manual and there is no confusion.

The initial one wouldn't post and I had to RMA to NewEgg. Received a replacement in less than a week. This puppy booted suitable up the initial time. I installed 64-bit Ubuntu ten.04 and it identified every thing. Did not have to hunt down drivers. I was going to purchase Windows 7, but Ubuntu is operating so effectively, I am going to stick with Linux for the time being. It's tough to complain about a board that I purchased on sale for less than ุ. However, I have one minor complaint: The on-board video is extremely inexpensive. Only 8 megs of shared memory. Still, it's not undesirable if all you program to do is read email and surf the web. I have a element-time Computer repair/upgrade enterprise and as result, I get a lot of free parts. One particular upgrade client gave me an Intel e4300 1.8Mhz cpu and a WD 320GB difficult drive. I also had an old case with a power provide gathering dust from an additional client upgrade, so I bought this board with 2Ghz of Critical RAM DDR2 800 RAM and was in a position to construct a good method for less ๠! My original plan was to sell this system, but I like it so considerably that I'm keeping it.

Please refer to my preceding evaluation titled "Happy so far" Snow appears on the monitor till the WINDOWS logo shows up if the Principal Display is left to be PCI-E, which is the default. The moment the Main Display is set to Internal, the snow went away---I hope there is absolutely nothing wrong with the PCI-E x16 socket! The BIOS version is v02.61---according to the text at the bottom of the screen when the BIOS page shows up.I could have updated the BIOS to see no matter whether it fixes the dilemma, but I update it only mainly because of key problems. Moreover, the version number does not seem to jive: the latest is four.3 in the internet web-site, but mine says v02.61! My interpretation is my board most likely has four.1, the oldest. The number 6 must have been a four. My deduction is the BIOS backup feature suggests that I ought to save the BIOS under the file name A7529IMS.410!Even with the PCI-E x16 socket concern and the confusion of the BIOS version, my rating remains as 3 eggs mainly because I have not come across a clean BIOS yet. Almost all of them are incredibly quirky. That's why the manufacturers usually warn us about changing BIOS at one particular's personal risk. I am leaving the properly enough alone!

It had high fps in WoW ahead of it died. Smooth RMA course of action The initial mobo died following 37 days. The second 1 I got from MSI died immediately after 37 days. Garbage product dont get unless you appreciate discomfort. I am dissapointed mainly because it was a excellent motherboard and gave me increased dps in WoW. MSI demands to appear at this board as it is seriously flawed

Put together an HTPC for my apartment and this tiny guy does excellent. It does what its supposed to and I've had no complaints. Excellent BIOS UI in my opinion. Greatest bang for your price range. Period. The placement of case fan plugs is slightly awkward based on the configuration of your case. Also, I would genuinely really like to know how to get the 7.1 sound out of the 1 audio port on the board and the one for the situation. Documentation could use some TLC, specifically with the audio as vague as it is. Also, method sensors are difficult to access from Ubuntu 10.04. Good board for low-end HTPC. Spent under 250 with everything including HDMI-enabled graphics card and no monitor. MSI has won some consumer loyalty in me! Also, good service newegg!!

One of the cheapest board out there with some overclocking ability. However, there's no RAID, no AHCI, and no voltage control on CPU.As an mATX board slots are few, but sufficient.I bought it to replace my previous broken board, and this board I'd say is fairly reliable and well-built.

Effortless to install, has all of the typical needs for drives and inputs. No heating difficulties. There are memory recognition errors. Only recognizing up to 2GB on a lot of memory. Even operating Windows 7 Specialist ࿠-bit). I wouldn't suggest for upgrading a Pc. There are better motherboards out there that are simpler to setup and can hold more memory.

I have this board paired with the Intel e3200 ǘGb of AData X ram 񴹐GT SSC and it will game and be fairly smooth about performing it.. I have tested COD four at 1680x 1050 Maxed out and Far Cry 2 at exact same 1680x1050 Very High Detail .. None for me.. Do your overclocking in the bios as setting fsb /ram speed is all thats necessary as it does the voltage for you plus disable the standard stuff required for overclocking.. have the e3200 @ 3.4Ghz and rock stable.. also tried the windows bios flash and it worked. this is fantastic worth .

I bought this board for a uncomplicated build making use of a Core 2 Duo processor, and hooked it up with no troubles. This was the 1st Pc create I've ever done, and anything worked nicely. This is a fantastic board for spending budget builds, supporting most Core2 processors (Duo and Quad). None that I can think of. As noted, I advocate this board to any individual seeking for a budget develop, specially since costs on Core 2 processors and DDR2 memory are dropping. Bear in mind, just mainly because it's outdated doesn't mean it can't pack a punch.

Straight forward BIOS settings, 4 rear USB, Pinouts for 4 front USB, solidly built, above average performance for a micro ATX board. Socket placement makes 1 of the mounting screws inaccessible when utilizing a large CPU cooler, and will not let a large cooler to clear a standard mounted case fan in a typical ATX case. Non color-coded or labeled pins demand use of manual for installation, might be difficult for novice users. I had to feel outside the box (literally!) and mount the case fan to the exterior of the case until I could pick up a micro fan. This is not a difficulty if you are making use of the stock Intel cooler, but employing the Coolermaster Vortex 752 triggered clearance problems with both the case fan and 1 of the board mounting screws.
