Excellent Mid-level upgrade
Comment:
Although outdated by many other generations of motherboards after it, this MOBO has the best specs for the system I wanted to build, With an AMD 64 X2 6000+ with lower level graphics cards in SLI anything more costly then this board didn't provide me with my needs like this board did. I recommended this board to my friends.

Excellent MOBO
Comment:
This board was used to build my first PC. This board has a lot of features that were not mention in the original advertisement. I would highly recommend this board.

All the features of a $180 board for $120, part of a barebones, great spec's and plenty of bios options. Board performs as spec'ed too. Msi's website makes driver identification easy and fun for the whole family. ok, well easy.

Nice mobo!!
Comment:
Second MSI build. I went with the phenom 2 720 x3 2.8. Very fast and plays everthing I can throw at it Crysis, COD4 etc. Runs cool and the bios makes it easy oc with just the multi to 3.3. I have not tried to go further but I it likely will. Dual 9800gt's play games on highest res. I had to upgrade the bios using my old 5000be, then reinstall the phenom 2 to get it to work. MSI live update is nice and easy. Ram install needs to be in same color dimm not staggered like my old msi board. If your looking for SLI this is a nice board.

Great Mobo... Had to Update BIOS
Comment:
No issues; works great with Phenom x4 9600. Only problem was a WinXP boot disk transferred from an Intel (Dell) box failed to boot (0x7e stop). Googling indicated a problem with intel power management dll, but that wasn't it; even a clean install of WinXP failed with the same error. Flashing the bios from 3.3 to 3.5 solved the problem (I then had to apply the intelpmp.dll fix too, but that was the easy part). Since (the site) sold me this as a bundle with the quad core, I would have expected them to point out that a bios flash would be needed. The MSI site clearly showed that the bios needed flashing. Frustrating few hours, but all ended well. G.

Had no problems running Vista Ultimate 64

Great board! I am running Vista 64bit and I found all the necessary drivers for Ethernet, coprocessor etc. with no problem. Try MSI's website....that's where I went.

Love the 2 IDE slots and 6 SATA
Comment:
I have looked for another board with 2 IDE and has SATA slots also, but have not been able to find. Was a little high priced, but I guess you have to pay if you want the best product. Only thing that was confusing was the instructions about enabling and installing dual channel RAM. says to install in same color slots( green or orange) but to be sure that the 2 sticks are in different channels, not indicating that ch A is slots 1,3 and Ch B is 2,4. Had to call computer store to find this information.

Another good board from MSI
Comment:
I purchased this with a phenom x4 9600 in a bundle deal. This board was simple to set up everything is clearly marked even for a novice builder. Back side SATA mounts were a bit tight in my mid size tower other then that exelant board

Works Great, issues with finding 64 bit drivers
Comment:
Replaced another MSI board. Would recommend MSI to anyone. Have had issues with finding 64 bit Ethernet controller drivers and did get some help from tech support on locating other 64 bit drivers. And I do like all the lights on the MoBo. My old board came with a insert card with color coded lights to assist with boot up issues and I thought I was going to miss that but now they have built that into the board. I really like that feature.

Plug and Play, Can't unlock 4th core on 720
Comment:
Very sturdy board that feels like it could take a beating. Keeps my Phenom II 720 running cold with the smart fan controls. Doesn't have any options to unlock the 4th core as do some higher end boards. The board was very plug and play with my hardware, and the hybrid sli featured meshed decently, although it seemed slower than my gts 250 running alone. Definately a good board for running a phenom or phenom II. I've built other less expensive systems since purchasing, and miss system building with a high quality board like this one.

MSI Does NOT have all the XP64x drivers
Comment:
Good board But MSI Does NOT have XP64x drivers, you have to go search on the nividia website for them, and MSI for some strange reason would not reply to me about it, all drivers work that they provide but 3, ethernet, coprocessor, and smbus,\. it is a driver issue with this board and (XP 64x)... other than that, its a great lil board!

Fantastic replacement for a burned up ASUS
Comment:
Let me start by saying I've never installed a mobo before. I bought this as a replacement for an ASUS gone bad, and the install went very fast. My comp is now much quieter, runs cooler, boots faster, and it's overall performance, without overclocking, it excellent. AMD Athlon 64x2 5200 4 G 1066 dual channel Ram Linked nVidia 8600GTS & 8500GT Video cards.

Fantastic MOBO
Comment:
I purchased this MOBO as an upgrade for my build and WOW what a difference!! This can not be beat for the price! The only negative is the stacked SATA ports are a little difficult to plug into even with a full size case but it does have 6 of them!

Great but not for high gaming rig!
Comment:
Great Motherboard works fine the overclock Bios is very easy, but the problem is if you have a Phenom x4 none Phenom II you can't read your 1066mhz memory at max speed, just staid in 800Mhz.works great in 8800 series video card.Good if your thinking a medium gaming rig.

Awesome mobo
Comment:
Great value and does exactly what I want it to. However the one I received was a little picky about what video card you put into it. I also noticed some noise in the front side audio connector, but that could be anything, and not necessarily the mobo's fault. Also getting the drivers for this motherboard with windowz XP Pro x64 is a PAIN as its not supported. Windows 7 users should have no problem with it tho.

Nice
Comment:
I love the looks of this board! The copper cooling pipes look great, and so does the copper Circu-Pipe Cooler (especially with an all-copper cpu cooler). It also has a lot of LEDs. All of this looks great in a case with a clear side panel. Just insure that your cpu cooler won't have any clearance issues with the copper piping and RAM. Board seems to be running stable so far. SATA ports 5 & 6 don't work and won't even register in the BIOS. Perhaps the BIOS needs a flash. If so, it should have been done before shipping - the BIOS updates weren't exactly released just yesterday. All in all, a good board.

Great Board
Comment:
This board turned out better than I had hoped for. It was a build I did for my uncle. The instructions were easy to follow and very straight forward. I love everything about setting up the board except one thing. Take the complaint with a grain of salt though because the rest of the features on the board are great. The bios is not the easiest to work with. Even simple overclocking proved a need to go through a lot of sub-menus. On the other hand the overclocking options are very good and have a lot of customization potential. Especially with profiles you can set up for different clocks. Great job this board exceeded expectations!

excellent product but...
Comment:
This seems to be an excellent product but I thought I was going to be able to just change out my old one with this one. I was wrong! I needed additional components to make it work.
