Worked fine the 1st time I booted it up and it's nonetheless kickin. I wanted to acquire the ASUS Deluxe but it was usually sold out so I thought I'd give MSI a try. I'm fairly pleased with the purchase; The board looks wonderful and operates as expected. Also, great price tag for what you're acquiring. I have not attempted to OC however, I'll try that soon when I order a new fan for the chip. None so far. Didn't come with one particular of these connectors to attach all the little two pin stuff, so I had to individually connect them all to the MB. A bit of a discomfort but not a huge deal. The BIOS is different, but the mouse interface is nice. Also I noticed the BIOS will tell you your chip is running way hotter than third celebration programs. Throughout the first boot up the BIOS was reporting 55C at idle. This created me nervous but I loaded up Win 7 anyways and ran a core temp system and it was reporting 32C.

boots that initially time.Incredibly good lay out.extremely straightforward to configure.no stability troubles. as soon as you get every single thing set up there is a green function referred to as Eup 2013 that will stall your method if you walk away and leave your computer system alone. turn this off if you want stability. the integrated utility software is cheap and it can crash you system if you start out playing with the settings. i truly wanted to give this MB all five eggs. i really like it. when it come down to it the mother board is great. no problem after you get all the setting set. but the amount of fail that the green function and integrated computer software utility's has makes the CONS unforgivable. as far as the actual board gos msi did a very great job with this 1

SLI, eSata, and 32GB RAM assistance. MSI support responded rapidly. DOA. Got stuck in an infinite power loop. I had an older Pentium on an MSI board for about 2 years and it started obtaining stuck in an infinite energy loop on boot. I decided to use it as an excuse to upgrade my Pc and got a Sandy Bridge i5 with this mobo. This board also was stuck in an infinite power loop as well. Attempted swapping RAM about, removing video cards, unplugging HDs, resetting the CPU and even removing the mobo from the case with out luck. I contacted MSI support and they responded inside ten minutes advising I try all that. They suggested to RMA the board eventually. I've RMAed the board and strategy on obtaining a non-MSI brand. I have bought two of these motherboards and they are outstanding. 2500k overclocked to 4.8 Ghz, Ripjaw ddr3, with a GTX 260 runs each game and app at max settings like glass. Both booted up initially time. Bios incredibly user friendly, all settings customizable. Finest motherboard however. Not free of charge. If you use the overclocking genie button, it limits you to four.two ghz. Disable overclocking genie button, alter ratio to four.six and leave every little thing on auto, and will run all day with standard settings. Was capable to tweak voltages and get it to run stable for a number of hours with intense gameplay at 4.8 ghz. Using sealed water block for cooling, runs at 28-33 degrees C.

Process booted with no concerns on initially attempt. Have not applied the program heavily (still running old technique most of the time) but so far no matters. Overclocking with 2500K is trivial but not precise to this mb. jfp2/fp1 blocks second video card; manual exceedingly poor. There is a second much more comprehensive manual obtainable (pdf format) and though it describes bios choices a bit far better; it also is extremely poor. For example none of the manual explain beeps on boot-up (which appear to be a count of usb devices plugged in not diagnostics). As far as I can inform the board has no diagnostic indicators (other than phase led and bios dead led). Board is a bit overkill for my usage with regards to feature set; key inspiration for buy was in case of crossfire later on and availability (preferred board was not accessible for a couple of weeks soon after acquire). Even though most of the elements had been bought @ newegg; it was sold out on newegg so bought from a neighborhood shop that regrettably does not permit return of open mb (jfp2/jfp1 blocking second video card is kind of a glaring oversight; ought to have caught it prior to buy).-

This is the 1st mobo that I have gotten with UEFI, The is a actual treat when use to old bios, makes items alot less complicated to deal with. I know UEFI will get much better down the road but it a good transform and simple to do. OC looks uncomplicated sufficient with this board but I have not even went that far with it however. It does every thing I need to do at typical settings as it is. The manual I got was an Europe manual, and was missing alot of stuff, had to goto MSI web site to download the US version of manual to get almost everything that was missing. I wanted to get the ASUS Deluxe mobo, but each and every time I observed it, it was sold out, so I took the plunge immediately after looking at alot of other reviews and got this 1. I am satisfied with what I got.Pioneer DVD Burner SATA DVR-219BKMSI P67A-GD65 MotherboardCOOLER MASTER HAF X Computer CaseCORSAIR Skilled Series AX750 Energy ProvideG.Ability Ripjaws X Series 8GB ƒ x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model F3-12800CL8DOCZ Vertex 2 120GB SATA II (SSD)Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM SATA six.0Gb/sIntel Core i7-2600K 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600KEVGA SuperClocked 012-P3-1572-AR Video CardSindow Index score 7.6 More than allProcessor 7.6Ram 7.8Graphics 7.9Gamingi Graphics 7.9Main HD (ozc SSD) 7.73DMark VantageScore P27852GPU 23516CPU 62340Pc MarkScore 18608Memories 12681.Television and Movies 7098.Gaming 21970.Music 18721.Communications 17119.Productivity 21687.HDD 37041.

Nicely laid out. Everything is labeled. Directions are pretty effortless to stick to for the most element. They give you plenty of cables, screws, etc. Built in sound is impressive. Overclock button is a great touch. Generally I would acquire a Gigabyte motherboard but this board had all the functions I wanted at a fantastic cost. Video card slot. If you buy a good fancy video card, they generally take two slots and block the PCi-e slot. You would consider that the motherboard makers would take this into consideration and move the PCi-e slot over so you can use it even with a high finish card. Don't like losing a slot due to the video card. General, a good motherboard. An extra PCi-e slot would be welcomed. Possibly get rid of the second video card slot (not all of us are gamers or over-clockers) and give us an additional PCi-e slot. I can dream right????

Newegg shipping - ordered 3 pm Wed 3ታ, arrived prior to noon Fri 3ት. Out-friggin-standing! POSTed on 1st attempt, right after following guidance from other owners' testimonials. POSTed, loaded Win 7 Ultimate, then went into infinite energy loop. Contacted MSI net assistance on Sat evening, got a reply in about two hours. That's the only explanation I didn't give it 1 egg. Tried all of their suggested operate-arounds, but still no luck. The manual is all but useless, only 1 USB 2. header, poor placement of SATA ports, and I think that the default "green" power settings are causing most of their difficulties. Regrettably, as soon as you go into the energy loop, there is no way you can get back into the UEFI shell to adjust the power settings. Will be RMAing this board for refund. I hesitated just before getting since of all of the difficulties owners are posting right here, but it was in stock, and Asus and Gigabyte boards had been not (they in no way appear to be). I should have listened to my inner nerd and waited! So caveat emptor! Perhaps you'll have much better luck than me.
