- The board provides a wide assortment of ports in the back, permitting for just about anything you can throw at it; wither it utilizes eSATA, Firewire, USB, or even PSǘ- The BIOS is the most user-friendly one I've ever observed; from adjusting fundamental features on up to advanced stuff like overclocking is very effortless to do with it's interface- The board itself looks really nice; it'd be great inside a transparent case Depending on the layout of your case, it may well be tricky to plug stuff into the interior SATA ports. Sadly, the case I'm working with (Antec 3 Hundred) falls into this category; whilst they exactly where not too challenging to plug in, it's a bit far more troublesome than I believe it should be

Works flawlessly with no issues because I got it.Method is for sure quicker than my X58 technique. None System overclocked to 4.4GHz with custom water cooling. (I know I could reach 5.0GHz, but I option not to at this time.) Temps on Prime95,INTEL BURN TEST and LinX, by no means reach above 50C on the maximum core. Then once again I have the air conditioning operating in my space at 73C.

A nicely created board. Wish it had cut out SATA2 completely, but 4 SATA2 and four SATA3 is adequate. Lots of space for multi-GPU set-ups, adequate even for two three-slot cards. Dual BIOS and a handy LED that lets you know if either/both fail. Would have liked to see RAM placed a bit further from the CPU.DOES NOT Function!!!An infinite power loop of perhaps four sec onǙ sec off. All components are brand new. Tried every single RAM configuration, with/without tower accessories, with/without optical drives, HDDs, all of the above. Confirmed right installation of CPU. Tried CMOS clearing, which reset the BIOS failure LED. The same LED also indicates that each of the BIOS have failed. Built in a secure environment, nothing was/is broken. Don't know the issue for sure, but if it is BIOS failure I have by no means experienced a worse on-arrival difficulty. D.O.A. This is supposed to be "military-class" proper? Fail by MSI. If something had been broken in transit then I'd just return for replacement but there is no way this isn't MSI's fault. Already had to wait for the stepping to be fixed and now this? If MSI can't give me a remedy by the finish of the weekend I'm going to RMA and take my company elsewhere. Excellent looking board.Nice EUFI setupOverclocking attributes are good Memory support appears to be truly lacking on this board. Have some High Performance memory from G.Skill that if I try to run it either manually set to its supported speeds or by XMP settings outcomes in a endless booting loop. Other then the memory support there's not much negative to say. So just before you purchase this board appear at MSI's supported memory sheet for this board and make positive your memory is supported. -B3 Stepping (Fixed Sata Bug)-Crossfire/SLI Compatible-UEFI Bios-Has virtually all the characteristics of the Asus Deluxe for More affordable-No Difficulties WHATSOEVER -No Built in Blutooth like the Asus Models, but this can be easily remedied with an internal card or a usb dongle. So far so very good! I've had this board installed for two weeks. Did not encounter any complications such as the infinite power loop bug. Motherboard came preloaded with the newest Bios from early March, so I assume this is a new batch that fixed the power problems. It did not default to 1600 Frequency for my new DDR3 Ram, but a simple change in the Bios fixed it. Good Board and looking forward to adding dual GPU's soon.i5 2500k (stock)MSI P67A GD658GB ƒx4gb) G.Skill RipJawX DDR3 1600Sapphire Radeon 5770Antec TP-750 PSUCM HAF-X

Cost makes it a very good value with all that you get for it. Constant BSOD's. I spent four days testing and searching everywhere on forums for ways to resolve it. Updating the BiOS to 1.9 and even the 1.10B6 didn't resolve the BSOD's I would frequently and randomly get. I could be idle at the desktop, browing a net page, or writing something on Word, and it would BSOD. I replaced a different motherboard with this 1, and that motherboard was a lot superior with the exact same processor and method.I've been operating with electronics and computers for more than a decade, and didn't give up on this motherboard, but it was defective. I recommend deciding on a unique motherboard until they resolve this problem. Very nice seeking. Had no complications obtaining it up and operating. Efficiency so far has been fantastic. Excellent value. None I was a bit concerned simply because some individuals had reported the endless power cycling dilemma, but it's been rock solid for me.A few folks have complained that it only has one USB 2. connector on the motherboard for a front connector. Note that the single connector supports two USB ports. Each of my situations only have two front ports anyway, so this is a excellent factor for me. No sense paying for some thing I'm not going to use. Overall it supports 14 USB ports (ten 2., 4 3.)which is plenty for me.

See Prior Review See Previous Evaluation I want to be fair and add a result of further testing with my setup. I was in a position to effectively run my memory at the advertised speeds by dropping down to a single pair of sticks. When I add a second pair for four sticks it goes into a endless boot loop until the ram is reset to the default speeds. Good looking board, above average build quality-good to see all the heat-sinks attached with screws rather of plastic clips.Booted up 1st time and installed Win 7 on a Revo X2 PCI-E card with no troubles. The user manual sx!The section on bios is only about 10 pages and mostly only covers the section on more than-clocking.The downloadable manual is a little more beneficialbut still leaves you guessing. The distinction among MSIand Gigabyte manuals is night and day.The MSI manual is just as thick as the GB manual but the MSI is full with 5 various languages and GB is only english.I have usually applied GB boards and only purchased the MSI board mainly because it was accessible and GB wasn't.The GB manual covers the bios settings in great detail and explains what each setting does and lists the default setting for it. I recieved this board on Friday and RMA-ed it on MondayThe UEFI click-bios interface is a waste of time! It is just unnecessary window dressing, adds absolutely nothing to enhance the usability factor and is not prepared for prime time! I putmy P55 back together and will wait for the GB boards to arrive.I think the GUI bios was rushed out for the "me to" factor and maybe following an intelligent rework it will be an solution worth having but for now I will pass on it.

runs my 2000mhz ddr3 @ 2133mhz without a dilemma when other people are having problems operating there 2133mhz sticks @ stock speeds.runs win7 like a champhave a 2600k in it overclocked to a modest 4.5ghz on watercooling, with a SSD drive, & SLI nvidia GTX 570's, i will never ever appear back, I dont really have to wait for modest programs to install, it kinda just appears, & large 10GB games install incredibly promptly, fantastic seeking board, like the color, wonderful heatsinks, like the LED lights, more than all really pleased with my buy, only removed 1 star for the infinite loop i ran into, read below, but would have only downed it a half of star if i could have. I ran into the infinite power loop today!!! I went into shock knowing that i was going to have to return the motherboard, and not be with a pc for days. Luckily I have studied for the CompTIA A+ exam along with my mcse & CCNP, and a few other certifications with ten years of encounter, and remembered that possibly if i took out the onboard battery for the BIOS and CMOS that it would reset some settings that could be causeing this, so i did just that and unplugged it, and it worked!!! technique turned proper on following taking out the battery for 15 seconds. unfortunately, I have a SLI setup, with a three slot ASUS GTX 570 video card, so it takes up all of my pci slots, and the battery is in between the pci slots so i had to take out my video cards, which as you might know is a hassle. if its in stock, get it with a quick sandy bridge, make positive to get a SSD, and high bandwidth memory to talk in between your CPU and your ultra rapidly SSD and you wont regret it! im typing on a netbook appropriate now with a single core atom @# 1.6ghz and it took about three minutes just to uninstall AVG anti virus, and on my new computer system, the install would just seem and disappear and its more than. literally.

Need to be not far more than .020 MSI is aware, but hasn't release a firmware update yet to fix. This is why I am rating it a 4.

Worked fantastic out of the box, UEFI is effortless to navigate and get applied to. Great sound high quality with onboard audio. Sata 3 works great, have the option of going with the intel controllers if you don't want to use the Marvell one. Cool blue LEDs O.C. Genie is a little buggy for me, I had greater luck adjusting the multiplier manually. Besides I like having the energy saving option on with my Sandy Bridge CPU so I just adjust the turbo multipliers. Also didn't contain a badge for the outside of my case. Works. Has a nice bios setup configuration but i have absolutely nothing to compair it to. Appears to be built nicely from what I can tell. Nice software for in OS overclocking. Alot of additional software program supplied with board! A+ for that. Directions severly lacking imo. ONLY One USB HEADER! had to purchase NZXT IU01 just to plug my card reader and my case usb ports in. Also dont need to have it but dont see a secondary usb3. header so if your employing the Haf-x i believe this may well be a dilemma for you. OC Genie is just kinda a kool button due to the fact for me it is easyer to oc without having it also not positive if its supposed to OC my ram but it just seemed to rais the voltage on the ram not certain if it speeded it up any other way. Software program supplied Live Update does not work worth a crapola for me. tried updating the update computer software but still sucks.I wish I woulda identified a greater board woulda been worth it to me to spend a lot more and get somthing else but at the time of acquire this was very best 1. ์ much less than the ASUS deluxe I was looking at and all the identical functions. Really happy with this buy.SLI, B3 revision, really pleasing aesthetically, basic install and lots of goodies built in.Booted on initial energy up, recognized all my hardware no POST problems whatsoever.Upgraded my machine to play Rift, went from playing on medium with average FPS, 40-50, to Ultra at 80-120fps sustained all zones and cities. Newegg did not have in stock so I bought from nearby retailer.Wish it was less expensive..?None from a hardware perspective.Going from an AMD setup to Intel, you are going to invest a lot a lot more $$$ but all worth it.
