I could go on about this mouse's pros for a long, long time but here are the highlights1) Wonderful feel to the mouse. Feels solid and nicely built2) Adjustable DPI is quick to respond, fantastic for changing from low DPI for sniping to high DPI for moving/hip firing3) Side buttons are fantastic once you get used to them.four) The charging cable is incredibly well designed. The magnetic finish works fantastic and is simple to attatch/detach on the fly5) Various feet for different surfaces6) The size (I have big handsơ) Macros! Oh so uncomplicated for macrosŒ) Infinitely greater top quality than any razer product. Mine is going on a year of use with no problems to report.9) Great value - 4000 dpi, added side buttons, good wireless receiver and charging mechanism, and easy macro and dpi adjustment buttons on the mouse all for 80$. Not too a lot of here1) Intellipoint drivers....but you don't have to get too into them if you don't want totwo) Size (if you like a modest mouse)three) Wireless reciever is fairly significant and comicalfour) If you get this for anything besides gaming or CAD/Image editing, you are overpaying. five) Heavy and big mouse + big receiver = tough to travel with. Some individuals may well cross shop this with the razer mamba, if you do may I provide a word of warning - Razer good quality is some of the worst I've ever knowledgeable. The only razer item I've noticed with any decent quality is the microsoft/razer keyboard the reclusa. I had a diamondback that broke immediately after 3 months, my very best friend had a death adder that also lasted 3 months, one more friend had a headset and his diamondback die right after four months....You noticing a pattern here? Plus their RMA service is renowned for taking your broken item and sending you back another damaged product....So ahead of you plunk down 120$ for a mamba, I urge you to purchase this rather, your wallet will thank you and in 3 months you will still have a mouse rather of a paperweight.

Changeable feet, High dpi, quite a few buttons. I like that the mouse contains a rechargeable battery. Some folks may prefer no outside battery, but truly, this is superior. All rechargeable batteries have a life span and slowly but surely the quantity of life it holds goes down. With ones like this you basically require to get a new battery and toss the old out. Typical mice you'd in all probability have to replace the whole factor. Now, I'll preface this by saying I'm a little female with pretty small hands. I believed I would actually like the high part of the mouse becoming at the base of my thumb, and just sitting my hand on the mouse I was appropriate. Nevertheless as soon as I actually began playing with it (and this is challenging to describe), the high back basically created an awkward lever program for me. The added effort it took for me to click the mouse simply because of this destroyed all precision for me. And no, it's not the high dpi that was throwing me off since I'm used to a 4000dpi mouse. I bought this to replace my Razer Mamba due to the fact my boyfriend broke the plug-in for his keyboard/mouse combo and I wanted to attempt this one particular anyway so he was going to take my Mamba. Running just a single instance with this one particular, on the other hand, destroyed that notion. I was halfway by means of and I my hand was cramping and I just couldn't take it anymore and put my Mamba back on. I promptly boxed it up and began the RMA method because even he didn't want it. Certainly stay away from this if you have tiny hands. I gave it two eggs since there are undoubtedly some good aspects to this mouse, it just seriously did not perform for me.

Ive had this mouse for about two years now. Still functions great. I adore that you can alter the DIP on the mouse works excellent for games. The mouse also comes with differnt sets of bottom plastic pads for different surfaces. The truth that you can charge this mouse and use it at the similar time is incredibly nice! The battery incluted nonetheless works a couple years later. Right after about a year it nicely have it moments such as, each when in a will it properly lag and some times it dosent want to charge. This is a extremely very good mouse for the value for gaming and for standard use.

I have a XL hand and it fits perfectly; my standard-sized mouse feels so tiny now. The on-the-fly DPI switching is nice. Functions fantastic for FPS games. The magnetic charging cable is so quite slick. The Intellipoint software is fairly lame. What is this about recording macros? I have no thought, the Intellipoint computer software doesn't say. How do I assign a diverse action to the silver button on the back? I have no concept. I ended up getting this at Fry's, since UPS lost my Newegg order. I'm fairly certain it's not Newegg's fault.

it makes a decent paper weight. I wrote a evaluation soon after just having purchased the mouse and only making use of it for a couple of days and I complained about it's overall bulkiness and awkward positioning of the dpi settings buttons. Those had been my only complaints at the time. Now I'm a good three months or so into this mouse and it is by far the worst mouse I've ever applied. The dpi settings on the mouse magically adjust consistently. I believed it was me accidentally pressing the dpi buttons but right after further assessment it's not. The mouse merely likes to do that from time to time. Yet another, even more annoying dilemma is that it will automatically begin running Macros even although I DON'T HAVE ANY MACROS RECORDED OR BINDED TO ANY BUTTONS!! Going into the intellimouse software to fix the error is an physical exercise in frustration. This mouse is merely atrocious. Stay away from it at all expenses. You're greater off with a low cost ŭ.00 mouse than with this piece of junk. It's really obvious to me that Microsoft's hardware division is an utter and total failure. I'm on my 3rd Xbox 360 simply because of the dreaded RROD, and now I have to replace my mouse. Microsoft, you are worthless!

Excellent when it functions. The little wire tether going among the mouse and the USB charging "puck" has a wire-break that created where the mouse connects to it. I have to position it off to one side so the battery will charge.Cleaning the 3 make contact with points at the interface ࿦% iso alcohol) did not assist. Beware computing devices with smaller flexible wires...This mouse is a classic example of weakest point of failure. The only factor it takes to de-value the device is a tiny wire break.

This factor is SOLID. I've had a bunch of mice all through my time and this is far and away the most solid / rugged feeling mouse of them all.Very first off, the clicks are snappy and a bit difficult compared to several other mice on the industry. It is also a bit massive, but that suits me and my long fingers. The thumb buttons are sturdy and demand a little quantity of force to click them, but at the same time they are not so flimsy to enable a sudden movement or bump to set them off.The scroll wheel is sturdy, despite the fact that a bit "fast" and drastic. You can change the really feel of this a bit in the computer software, but I've not yet located the right balance I want.DPI on the fly is really usable. You can set it from extremely low 500 (or possibly even lower) all the way up to 4000. The three buttons in the middle of the mouse which control this are placed perfectly for myself. The magnet which is also employed to charge the unit clips underneath the front of the mouse and is just splendid.Actually a excellent setup. I don't actually care for the scroll wheel tilt, but you don't have to set up those clicks / movements to do something, so it's genuinely not even worth mentioning. It glows red from the leading, though the lazer is bright blue. The blue nevertheless does not leak from underneath the mouse in the course of typical usage, so preserve that in mind if you need to have it to match your LEDs and so on.I have this with the Sidewinder x6 keyboard and they compliment every single other really effectively in design, function, and looks.

-Incredibly comfy feel for people today with massive hands. I had a MX Revolution from Logitech just before which I loved but this mouse is slightly bigger & even a lot more comfortable-3 interchangeable feet for far more or much less glide which makes a world of distinction & just a wonderful feature to have-Recharges through a cable & you can still use the mouse though charging-Most responsive mouse I've ever used! 3 buttons for setting DPI & switching on the fly. I have mine at 4000, 2000, & 750. Works wonders in game switching flawlessly to a faster DPI for speedy reactions or slowing DPI for sniping in BC2.-four hours to completely charge battery for initial time use, I've read as little as 20 minutes to charge for 30 hours of gameplay following very first charge-High quality with such a great feel to it -This isn't a con of the mouse but I locate it odd that it is blue track technologies but the mouse has a red screen with three red buttons & an orange light radiating from the back. This isn't that huge of a deal because the lights dim shortly soon after hitting a button or unplugging the charging cable so i never see them but just a side note. My new build is based on all blue LEDs so it is a small out of location but still high quality vibrant LEDs AMD Phenom II X6 1090TCooler Master V8 with this fan & controllerASUS M4A89GTD PRO USB3XFX 5770 1GB @ 960Mhz & 1445Mhz4GBs of Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600MhzCorsair HX850WWestern Digital 640GB Caviar BlueCooler Master HAF 932 with 3 200mm blue LED fans & three 120mm blue LED fans22" monitor & 50" Panasonic TC-P50X1 1680x1050Logitech G110 & Microsoft SideWinder X8

Grip and feel of the texture on the mouse. Response of the buttons and the 4-way scroll wheel. Thumb button placement. Wired or wireless if it makes a distinction, ideal response either way. Aesthetics. DPI manage buttons. Interchangeable mouse feet for distinct surface resistance. + Description has lied or "misled" about the quantity of buttons offered. It is pricey.I was very disappointed to get this mouse and discover there are only 4 extra buttons to use. 1) bottom thumb. 2) best thumb. 3) scroll wheel suitable. four) scroll wheel left. You can nonetheless reprogram the appropriate, left, and middle mouse buttons but changing the right/left buttons makes no sense. If you're getting this for all the extra buttons, go for one thing else. Even although the description is essentially lying (-1 egg) and I had bought this for all the added buttons it proclaimed to have I'm still content with it. It is an amazing searching and amazing acting mouse. It's perfect for use in operating systems and any programs. This setup I use {Bottom thumb = CTRL, top thumb = ALT, middle mouse = delete} is ideal for text editing or any common pc usage. Also OK for gaming {Bottom thumb = crouch, best thumb = grenades/projectiles, scroll wheel right = change fire mode, scroll wheel left = alter grenade sort}. Functions good this way for FPS and other people. I am now waiting on replacing it with some thing with a lot more real buttons for my gaming although. The steelseries 62100 looks to be much more what I had expected this to be. item# - N82E16826249056

They stopped the sidewinder line once more so you don't get any warranty by way of MS, reason enough not to acquire! Logitech G700 trumps this mouse. No contest!

Lots of buttons, adjustable DPI on the fly, extended batter life, fast connecting charging cable, low battery warning light. I play games almost just about every night, oftentimes for a couple hours without having stopping. I have to charge this batter about when a week, at times less. Great responsivity, completely no lag. Dont let the wireless thing fool you, this is just as very good as any wired mouse. Lights are red. The rest of my pc accessories are blue. The light is on only while charging and off though gaming, so no massive deal. If you are soon after a solid gaming mouse to enhance your gaming experience, get one. If you search the internet, do social media, watch videos, and send e-mail, dont waste your income.

Nice design, excellent efficiency and ergonomics, and a fantastic charging program make this mouse fairly enjoyable to use. It breaks! Mine suddenly refused to charge, showed a low battery light, and wouldn't charge or even work with a replacement rechargeable battery. MS claimed to not have any far more of these in stock when I created a warranty claim, so I ended up with the Sidewinder X3 (which is low cost garbage) Battery life isn't great, but that may well be related to a product defect much more than the style.

smooth, rapidly, programmable. nothing yet. For individuals getting an issue with tracking, in the intellimouse settings move the "mouse speed setting" down from high by a notch or two, it solved all my concerns. Also, for the person who stated the mouse only had 5 buttons you left out the middle click, tilt left, tilt suitable. So yes 12 might be misleading but it does say 7 programmable buttons and so it does live up to what it claims to be.

Mouse feels wonderful...similar to my Logitech G5. No lag at all and it does not interefere with the cordless two.4ghz Logitech Rumblepad. My cordless phones are five.8ghz so clearly they weren't affected either. Thumb buttons are perfectly placed...Logitech take note!!! The palm rest feels a small high at initially compared to my G5 but I got utilized to it soon after a couple hours of gaming. My palm didnt rest on the G5 (slight slight claw grip). Little on the costly side for a mouse. I did a lot of reading/watching reviews on several mice over the week before I finally bought this mouse. I play mostly FPS and have gone from the Microsoft Intelimouse>Logitech MX510>Logitech G5> and now the X8. I had brought house the Logitech G500 but promply took it back due to the placement of its laser and my epic failure on the internet in BFBC2. I read that some men and women really feel that the newer Logitechs have an acceleration difficulty so that ruled out the G9X (and G500) eventhough it was more affordable than the X8. Don't get me wrong...with any new mouse your game will slip slightly as you adjust but the G500 was ridiculous. Going from the G5 to the X8 was certainly not as drastic. This mouse is slightly bigger than the Loigtech MX518/G5/G500.

- Nicely built- Distinct configurations- Wonderful mouse, but refer to cons The mouse rarely works, it will freeze (the method will be working fine) and the mouse becomes the only factor unresponsive. I switched back to my crummy wired mouse and it worked flawlessly. Movement is jumpy, and I can not rely on this mouse to give the expectations of any typical mouse.Microsoft no longer supports this mouse, as they denied me an RMA.This is an additional reason to maintain it wired, folks. If it actually worked, this mouse would be -excellent-.The *wired* Sidewinder X6 keyboard nonetheless is really very nicely built. I bought this mouse in hopes to have a matching set of keyboard and mouse. I should have identified better.Almost certainly going to look towards Razer or Logitec in the future. M$ support was quite poor. This was built in ཅ, and is still becoming sold.

Lot's of buttons. Diverse dpi settings, can be programed somewhat. Rechargeable battery.Wireless (awesome). When scrolling, the wheel has a 'set' distance it scrolls, clicks to - okay, takes some obtaining applied to, but not a fan of. Mouse is significant. So if you have a bigger hand it will fit you superior-takes some time receiving utilised to, but not a deal breaker.Really, for what I use it for it is over-kill. But it has the wireless and other features that I seriously like and wanted.

Good mouse. A lot of buttons and hand feels comfortablewhen utilizing it. Also has a nice battery life. The metal scrolling wheel is one more plus. Presently have mine set at 2000 dpi. Consists of a neat LCD screen telling you the dpi. Its off balance. What ever mouse feet I put on it doesnt make a difference. When I press the proper button, the left side of the mouse raises up which I dont like. The diverse mouse feet might be a good feature but I honestly dont feel the difference. Also it utilizes 1 AA rechargeable battery. It would of been nice if they could of squeezed in an additional battery so it would have a longer charge life. Also in the microsoft mouse program, It doesnt tell you how a lot battery life you got. My ุ logitech mouse told me my percentage and how numerous days that had been left. It also doesnt charge if the laptop or computer is off. I have it connected to a powered usb hub. Just wish it could tell me how substantially battery life I I have left and charge on my usb hub when the pc is off.

I got a open box for 29 bucks. I works like it should. I hope to have it work for at least a year It had a portion that was loose inside. I got it out from the back and it was a old micro switch for a button. All the buttons appear to work,, just dont know where that micro switch came from. (maybe thats why an individual sent it back). Your going to have to get employed to thee feel of this mouse. I gave my old sidwinder to my kid a year or so immediately after I got it replaced for a problem so im applied to the feel. Im tired of getting mice for over 60 bucks and then getting them go poor following a year but all mice appear to go bad quickly if you play games. Microsoft has a fantastic RMA setup if you need to have it. They just send you a new 1 and you keep the old one.

Great mouse. perfect wireless signal, rechargable battery that last for weeks (easy connection makes it like a wired mouse though charging). Looks cool. has a led display for battery life and mouse sensitivity. Barely a con even, but from time to time mainly because of the placement of some of the buttons (like the one where your thumb sits, and the ones on best for altering mouse speed) get accidentally hit. just something to get use to. It also doesn't appear u can alter the function of the 3 mouse speed buttons on the leading, which i would rather have do something else. also at initial had to get use to the slightly bigger size of the mouse compared to a normal mouse. After acquiring use to it, it is the very best mouse i've ever utilized.

Initial issue I noticed was how cool it looked. It looked like it would have produced me feel like I had the power of a tank in my hand. But this mouse isn't all about looks. It talks-the-talk, and boy let me tell ya... it can certain as heck walk-the-walk. Immediately soon after placing my hand on this mouse, I knew I was going to surf, game, and just flat out move comfortably. Immediately after a month or so of use with this mouse, I can that this is going to make your hand really feel great in the lengthy run. No cramps, aches, no nothing. Next would be its functionality. 12 total buttons, 7 are programmable. The "left and proper click" buttons are pretty fundamental. the feel excellent to use, and are fairly quiet compared to past ฤ mice i've had. The thumb buttons are a necessity. Surfing would suck without them, and the are in just the right position, regardless of the size of your hand (as lengthy as its not in the "petite" category.) both me and my older brother reach them just fine. And his hands a One Con I guess would be there are too numerous Pros.. I ran out of characters to use in the "Pro" section of my review :( SO instead of talking about the non-existent Cons, I'll talk about the rest of the Pros! Back to functionality. The On-The-Fly DPI setting buttons ARE Ideal!!!! I can't tell you enough how useful these are, in particular when I play any 1st-Individual Shooter game that involves Sniping. For me, I switch to a lower DPI when I snipe, and a higher DPI for anything else. (My settings are: Top - 1500dpi for normal fps control, Middle - 2000dpi for desktop and regular use, and 1000dpi for sniping and photoshop.) Not a lot to say about the scroll wheel except it feels excellent, functions properly, and is metal. (Rubber ones don't last long when I'm about :) Macro button is nice, I've utilised it for ingame stuff, but I use the software program for other macros. The Quick Launch is useless to me unless you're oldschool playing minesweeper ;D SWAPPABLE FEET RULE!!! The white i I'm tired of running out of characters... Good thing is I'm almost completed :) Mouse pads- Men and women are talking about it not tracking on cloth mouse pads - specially black ones. I got my mouse WITH a DOLICA Midnight Edge mouse pad. And if you can't tell by the name, it's black. This is my current mouse pad for now, and I'll tell you its the best! It replaced my World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Collectors Edition mouse pad. Its a good size, feels excellent, and WORKS WITH THIS MOUSE!!! I heard a couple of "rumors" that this will interfere with anything the runs at 2.4GHz (routers, phones, etc.) but mine has had no such issues. One last factor I have to cover is the super amazing Recharge cable. I haven't had it die but, but it got close when I forgot to charge it one night right after 4 hours of gaming (surfed the internet A LOT prior to that.) It's definitely cool when it dies, since the LCD screen, and the "Eye" on the back commence to blink when its dying. Recharges rapidly though.
