Microsoft SideWinder X8 Black 2.4GHz Wireless Gaming Mouse

Own may gaming mice over the years replaced my G15 with this one and was amazed! No lag, very long battery life and quick to charge. Cant imagine a gaming mouse better than this.

I admit it; I'm a mouse and keyboard snob. I've bought countless mice (and keyboards), used them for a week and given them away or thrown them out in disgust. That said, the SideWinder X8 is a keeper! My biggest issues with wireless mice are poor transcievers and loss of sync, perhaps due to interference. The X8 suffers from neither of these issues; its' tracking is both accurate and smooth, even across a pair of 22-inch monitors. Controls are within easy reach of short fingers on a small hand. I expect to be using this mouse for many years to come.

By far the best wireless mouse I've ever used! I use on my 55' LCD about 12 ft from my PC and works great, no lag whatsoever even while gaming. Many really cool features with this mouse Love the DPI switching feature and I also like being able to change the Mouse feet. Mouse is a little big but once you get used to it not a problem at all.

Took a bit to get used to, only cause I was using a stock mouse that was a bit smaller. Once I did, I love the feel of it. Awesome response, on the fly sensitivity changes, and the think just looks sweet.

Okay I was a little skeptical at first about the performance of a wireless gaming mice. But now I'm in love. Pros- Very responsive and sensitive, Changeable feet, Charger and Cable management system is very nice, Create and assign macros in game easily and quickly. Cons- Very little documentation on setting macros outside of game, Would enjoy changeable weights, A couple extra programmable keys would be nice

Great quality mouse, love the recharging components. The only improvement I would make as a gamer is that the Macro Recording button and DPI selection buttons cannot be reprogrammed to the user's preference. The mouse has plenty of buttons but I know that most users pick 1 DPI and stick to it, and not everyone needs to record macros on the fly. Other than those points, great product, glides well on my mousepad.

Lightweight,fast,accurate, It is a little big at first, will take some getting used to. It is good quality and the magnetic charging cord is a good idea, it charges fast too.

Although the performance of this mouse might be awesome, the wireless transmitter that plugs into the computer is massive and heavy. This was really a big lose for a laptop owner who'd much rather one of the tiny bluebooth transmitters that barely stick out of the USB port.

The contouring of the mouse is a little too boxy for comfort and the side buttons could be larger to accommodate smaller hands. The upsides are the side buttons are vertical, making for a very natural thumb movement

I like everything about the mouse except that is does not slide as easily as I would like. I have all the feet and I really don't see much of a difference when I change them.

Love the charging window on the side lets you know when it needs charged and when it is at a full charge. Very durable and a nice design. It is a little large but very easy to handle once you get used to it. Lots of nice features on this mouse am very happy with it.

I upgraded from the x5 to the x8 and am verry happy with the new one. I just wish they had kept the adjustable weights. Feels very solid, charges quickly, holds the charge verry well. works great with win.7.

First time using a wireless mouse for gaming. Very responsive and smooth feel. Did not notice any lag at all. A little on the expensive side, but so are all the other gaming mice by Logitech, Razer....etc!

The only downside to this mouse in my opinion is how you are used to holding your old one. If you use 2 fingers to work the 2 buttons and the wheel you may find this mouse hard to use until you get used to using 3 fingers, one for each button and the wheel. It recharges fast, looks great and works even better.

IF you are a gamer like myself the one thing thats bugs your about mice is that it is too heavy.And for wireless mice what make the mouse heavy is the battery.Well thats not a problem with this mouse.This mouse alows you to play without the BATTERY!!!!All you have to do is Take the battery out and plug the recharge wire into the mouse.AND WALA!!!Light at a feather!!OH!AND THIS MOUSE ROCKS!

Not a game player that much, but am getting use to this mouse. PROS-great speed, cordless, fast re-charge, and the replaceable feet DO make the difference. CONS-took 5 days to get it, not mouse fault, HA HA. I have small hands and I find palming the mouse a little hard to do, and my thumb doesn't fit on the side buttons all the time. I haven't looked into the use of changing the functions of the buttons yet. Overall I like it and time will tell about the size for small hands and charging is neat and fast.

Great battery life and great sensitivity and customization makes this mouse the last mouse ill need for a very long time. I hate mouses with like 20 thousand buttons on them, this one has enough to do whatever you need without being a nuisance. Great feel and great buy! thanks microsoft
