Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:None worth mentioning

Pros:Great all around OS!
Comment:
I've lost track of how many licenses I've purchased now. This one was for my dad's system. It's about time he get to see what W7 is all about (just as W8 gears up haha). I think they did a stellar job with this OS. There are still a few driver quirks here and there and support issues with the 64bit edition but that's no fault of Microsoft's. Software developers need to step it up!

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:All baggage associated with windows, 16 GB memory cap, cannot install on multiple machines

Pros:Functional, snappy, cheap copy of 64 bit operating system
Comment:
Windows is windows - it's not the place for a religious discussion on whether Linux/OS X/WinXP are better. This is simply the cheapest copy of the most accessable version of the OS you can get - it works, you dont need to monkey around with upgrade copies or anything, and it'll support more than 4gb of ram. Weirdly it doesn't support more than 16 (making you buy a higher end copy) so if you wanted to use 32 gb of ram for gaming, you'll need to step up to a higher priced version of the OS.Also, remember that once you activate you are more or less locked to the hardware you've installed on. You can still upgrade bit by bit, but dont expect to swap every component except the hard drive and still be able to activate windows again.

Pros:Easy to use and install

I have run Windows operating systems for years. Every other version seems to improve on the previous version. This is one of the 50% that shows an improvement. I can also say that NCIX has a great price on this as well, I purchased it for less than $100!

I can even use it in an old Dell Celeron although I had added a PCI video card so everything works properly. It makes transferring bookmarks from an old computer easy.

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:-price

Pros:-quick, resposive OS -a lot better than Vista-the desktop show buttom on the right hand side of the taskbar is brilliant-looks sharp and clean-would have to agree with others, best Windows OS yet.
Comment:
Windows 7 was like night and day over Vista. Looking forward to Windows 8, not.. I don't think a Microsoft OS refresh is needed at this point in time, seems like a money grab to come out with a new OS so shortly after the Windows 7 release. If they come out with some sort of revolutionary upgrade maybe, but I can't see it.

Microsoft has finally done it. They made something that people should buy. The 64 bit version is a bonus as it operates faster, more efficient without problems.

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:It's Windows

Pros:It's Windows
Comment:
What can you say? Win 7 is pretty decent, probably the best Windows yet, only thing I hate is that they don't give a simple method to move the user profiles and program data during setup to a drive other than the boot drive. That should be standard practice. It is possible but it's a cumbersome process, took a couple of shots at different ways of doing it but finally got it done and it seems to be working fine, including Windows Updates. Only 8 gigs of space needed on boot drive once that stuff is moved elsewhere, makes a 60 gig SSD very useable.

dear microsoft: yes im sure that i'm rating this 3/5 . there ought to be a option on the install to disable every kind of warning this os gives you. takes me 2 hours plus google searching to disable the more tricky warnings that are hidden away in some deep menu tree somewhere. upgraded from TinyXP ...

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:-Quite pricey, but this isn't NCIX's fault

Pros:-Vastly improved in every way from Vista-Haven't had a single driver conflict, programs crashing/etc.-Love the newer interface (came from vista)-Considering your choice of other OS's this is the best
Comment:
Needed a OS and Windows is more or less your only "real" choice. They took a lot of feedback to heart though, from all the terrible, terrible choices of Vista. Everything seems to be improved, the interface is much nicer, a lot less problems. Overall amazing product.
