Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:Cost
Pros:Nice UI, computer management options are still available for those who like to fiddle Comment:
Final made the jump from XP to 7 on my home PC, I didn't bother with vista for many reasons but I've had the chance to work with 7 and it grew on me. I was able to price match down to $99 but I still think this is unreasonable for 7 seeing as windows 8 is in beta. Maybe I needed to wait another month or two... Still a much better upgrade than what I was expecting. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:Windows (LOL), the Samba killer.
Pros:Installed & Activated, not too bad a price when PM'd Comment:
I got this to pair up with my new build. Product worked as expected. It did knock out my *Nix Samba server, so it gets a point taken off for that! |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:-I could nit pick all day, its windows. Reality is though, I love it.
Pros:-Uses more memory better than Windows XP-Easier to use that XP or Vista-Faster tha vista-Yields good speed increase with Quad-core 64 bit computers with 2 to 4 gb of ram. Comment:
Best microsoft OS to date. I just upgraded my moms system from 32 bit xp to windows 7 and because her system has 4 gb of ram, plenty of hd space and a 64 bit processor, the computer is much better utilized. It runs better, she is happy, I am happy, all is good. I have installed windows 7 on 8 or 9 computers and I am happy with it. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:(none)
Pros:Just plain awesome Comment:
Terrific and solid operating system (unlike Vista). Its improved driver list comes in quite handy. So what if it needs more RAM and a little more HD space; it's sleek and I can do all my work in one place (and I don't have to use a Mac!). |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:definitely not worth it
Pros:- supported- fast boot- can be tweaked to look like the classic windows 2000 Comment:
Win7 came installed on a laptop that I bought for work.I did not use it before (work still uses XP, and I only use Linux). You *have* to use it : XP is not supported anymore.Past that, yeah, it's nice.Boots fast, didn't have a BSOD in 8 days.Once you remove all the shiny stuff, you can get a more sober look and feel.Although I'll probably never use it for personal use, I recognize that it's more stable than XP, less ugly than Vista and easier to apprehend for n00bs. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:It's a microsoft product. They hid or renamed the most common functions you use again on this version. Happy hunting. the snap function...see below
Pros:Lots of good features and will alow you to stream movies through windows media center to play your media files on your Xbox. Expect hours of ajusting WMC and your network to get the media to play. Very easy network connection setups almost does it itself. couple of nice useful features on the taskbar. The see desktop icon is little blank bar far right of the clock. Comment:
The first thing that you will turn off is the SNAP feature. At least until you manage to work out the cool new taskbar features. When you touch the top of a window to move it, it will default to fullscreen and your unable to move it to see the icon behind it. Unless you shrink it to the task bar. To turn it off it it's in your mouse settings. |

Cons:The price is a little bit expensive but It's totally worth it.
Pros:I got and used Windows 7 since the month it came out. It is SOOOO much better then Vista and after 7 I can't use XP anymore either. Microsoft really added some awesome features like snapping that I just can't live without anymore. Comment:
Best Microsoft OS ever. The snapping feature is amazing and should be on every OS from now on. It uses less RAM then Vista and has less compatibility problems also. |
Hmm, much better than vista I guess that's the real deal there. Go for it!
