Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:ExpensiveIs this really a new OS or just a Vista update?

Pros:StableNew Features
Comment:
This is by far the best version of Windows ever made. All my games and software run fine on it. Setup was fast and instructions easy to follow. Can use a USB drive to setup Windows and USB drive to install Raid drivers. No need for a floppy drive (don't recall if this function was available in vista).I'd rather call this a Vista update than a complete new OS. Other than some new features and update s couldn't it have been a Vista windows update instead to fix what was wrong in Vista?

Best Operating system to date I have seen & heard
Comment:
I've been working with Windows 7 for audio related work and pleasure since the release candidate version came out. Only thing I can say for this is WOW, HOW ABOUT QUALITY SOUND. The bass is incredibly true, the high frequency are just at the perfect place, soft all the from 20Hz to 20 MHz. First time I can say Microsoft made a great product finally. WHERE WERE YOU GUYS BEFORE????? THANKS FOR THE GREAT PRODUCT.!!!

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:Price

Pros:FastStableEasy to useLooks good
Comment:
Great OS, great upgrade coming from Win XP. Only problem is not everyone has yet released drivers for Win 7, it is not Microsoft's fault of course, but it is annoying sometimes. Having a hard time getting my Forte to work properly with the Vista sound drivers.I'm sure once the issues are resolved it will be a ton of fun to use!

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:Expensive

Pros:StableZippy
Comment:
Windows 7 is a great OS. I used to use Vista, and I actually didn't have any problems with it despite all the negative whiny hype I heard. Regardless, 7 seems to feel zippier and uses less system resources than Vista does. And so far no compatilibity issues with programs (not that Vista had any for me either...)

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:Nothing, except for that one fact that I kept getting a SCSI driver error and couldn't find an update for it so had to custom install instead of upgrade install

Pros:Fast, Looks Nice, Pinable Taskbar(leaves so much room on desktop)
Comment:
I have to say that Windows 7 is a MUST GET UPGRADE!! Prior to Windows 7, I was using Vista since it came with the computer and my windows experience index (if u want to judge from that) was around 5.8 for all of them. After Windows 7 they all jumped to around 7 except for my primary harddisk score with stayed the same.

Best Windows Yet!
Comment:
Windows 7 has been my primary OS. Very Satble, fast, friendly and many features are much better than XP.I would certainly recommend this OS to anyone over anything that is currenlty out there. A few things take a bit of getting used to if you're from the XP world but it's not difficult. However, if you have more than 3 Gig of RAM you must use 64 bit version. It is a shame that 32 & 64 bits are not on the same DVD. I don't know why Microsoft doesn't include both versions 32 & 64 bits on one or two DVDs with the same license number. Is it the cost of extra DVD?

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:-A bit pricey considering it's basically what Vista should have been.-Didn't find my network adapter driver on one of my computers (it's old) so I had to track it down on a different computer.

Pros:-Homesharing makes file sharing on my home network easy.-Steaming media to my xbox now works without hassle.-Runs great on old hardware.
Comment:
Windows 7 finally does it right. Homesharing is a great feature that allows me to share files, media, and printers effortlessly between computers on my home network. It even runs well on my really old PC (1.5Ghz single core, 1.5gb ram, integrated everything else) allowing me to extend it's life for a while longer.

Cons:-None

Pros:-Reliable and fast
Comment:
Great design and Microsoft don't always go together, but they do in Windows 7. Some users might take a while to get used to the new taskbar and Aero Peek, but they're a pleasure to use. Much better alternative/upgrade to Vista.

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:Still an MS product, they have a lot of ground to cover to rebuild customer trustprice?

Pros:Installs and ran stable, ( nice change for MS product)
Comment:
For those who use vista 64 and want to move up, this WILL upgrade your system.the options come up on the install and allow you to select and install this way. handy if your concerned about losing a lot of data. Clean installs always are better because you dont bury problem that are already there. My install upgrad4e on my first system went very well, was quick and stable. Nice feature is when the system was installed it suggested upgraded drivers and linked you to the sites you needed.Still running stable after 2 weeks of heavy use.Noticeably much faster with this OS, ( was VISTA ULTIMATE 64)So far A+Would buy again and already have for my other system which will be a clean build. Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:absolutely none

Pros:Fast, clean, easy to use, good security, easy to install, easy to install and remove any drivers without the 5 minute Vista wait!!!
Comment:
Finally Microsoft has gotten this one right. I downloaded the RC version and used it all summer, it was WONDERFUL!!!How refreshing.I also like the idea of being able to set up "virtual XP" within this OS.Its a coming of age of the PC desktop, like so many things in the last year or so.The 64 bit environment is much smoother and resolved, there are very few WoW issues.I also use Photoshop CS4 64 bit, and its fast and snappy, again ..wow..what a change a few years can make!!The boot up takes about 30 seconds to Desktop , same with the Shutdown. There are so many nice features that finally make it a pleasure to use, makes XP look like a clunky wagon. If your contemplating an upgrade, this one will not disappoint you. I highly recommend it. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-30-09 10:01 PM

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:Vista upgrade without Windows Mail.Crashes steady with Bioshock(blue screen).

Pros:Vista upgrade.Most games run OK.
Comment:
I run 2 high end AMD Phenom II systems, one a Black 940 and a Black 955 gaming system, one with Vista 32 bit, and the other Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.The Vista system has 4 gigs of 1066 ram and the Windows 7 64 bit has 6 gigs 1066 ram. Both systems are OC'd to 3400 mhz, and both computers are running an ATI 4870 graphics cards.Windows 7 has slightly higher benchmarks, and runs Adobe Lightroom and Internet Explorer faster.I like Vista (SP2) and I also like Windows 7 64 bit, because it can handle much more memory. My thoughts are, if you are running XP, it is time to move on to a Windows 7 64 bit OS, and if you are running Vista, hang in for a service pack or two, unless you need a 64 bit system.

Fantastic, Friendly, Fast
Comment:
I have been using Windows 7 since the Release Candidate was available. It beats all other operating systems including those other guys. It is the friendliest, fastest, most stable system yet. When you learn all its features, it blows everything else out of the water.

Impressive for a new os...
Comment:
I've been running Windows7 ultimate rtm for the past 2 months. I built my computer back in march and without fail installed every driver that was needed. Usually has weekly updates. and by far the best windows operating system thus far. You might find it frustrating to install on an older pc, took me a couple hours to play with the compatibility settings but in the end an old pos pc that was manufactured back in 2002 is running 32bit with out too much of an issue. Personally I would wait until sp1 comes out.

Finally Something Better than XP
Comment:
I have been running XP64 since 2006 which I loved as it was stable and fast. I bypassed Vista due to so many negative reviews but have been running Windows 7 Ultimate since the RC version was released and it has been my primary OS pretty well ever since. Very stable and many features are much better than XP especially setting up networks. I would certainly recommend this OS to anyone over anything that is currently out there. I installed it in a computer for my 70 year old mum and she loves it. A few things take a bit of getting used to if you're from the XP world but its not difficult.
