Flawless operation in early 2010 i7 MacBook Pro. Uncomplicated snap in install. Could be a touch much less high-priced Positive is funny how Apple is creating it tougher to order machines that are not already loaded up with their overpriced RAM...Mushkin is the ideal Apple RAM substitute brand I can consider of!

Mushkin Enhanced 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM Dual Channel Kit Memory for Apple
Comment:
Fairly low-cost compared to everybody else, but I guess you get what you pay for. Memory does not work, laptop can't even get pass the boot screen devoid of crashing. Mushkin says its certified with Apple but my i5 Macbook would say otherwise. I thought given that the original Mac ram was PC8500 DDR3, it should operate but no dice. I just purchased my macbook about a month ago and works flawlessly till I installed this memory. If you worth your time and save time shipping these back or going via the hassle of a RMA or some type of return, I would keep away from these. Go with Micron (memory that Apple makes use of).

Compatible! None I bought Mushkin for my last 13 inch MBP and was really pleased. I hesitated when I saw some reports of incompatibility for the 15 inch i7. I know Mushkin has very good following obtain care. So, I waited as lengthy as I could and made the plunge. I'm pleased to report that the Mushkin seems to have solved the compatibility issue as far as my expertise goes. The i7 totally smokes with 8gbs. Well worth it. Newegg.ca got it right here in a hurry also. I'm pleased.

- Price was great- Shipping was quick - Arrived DoA- Have to spend to deal with RMA Following installing the ram, the pc was totally useable in both OSX / Windows 7 (via Bootcamp). When running Windows, it gave the BSoD with error "unknown challenging error" ahead of reaching the startup. If it produced it to startup, it would BSoD within five minutes or so.In OSX, it suffered from Kernel Panics and would freeze or restart each and every two-5 minutes.Method: Mid-2010 Macbook ProNow I have to go via the whole RMA procedure, and it seems that I have to pay additional dollars out of my pocket to get all of this completed. Quite unsatisfied at what ought to have been a somewhat basic laptop upgrade. Manufacturer Response:Greetings, Please make contact with me directly at nick@mushkin.com or 800.569.1868 X: 103Thanks!

memory is negative out of the package. Can't even get into single user mode devoid of a kernel panic. The packaging for the memory is terrible and New Egg shipped in the thinnest possible package. I blame each organizations for terrible shipping of the product. No doubt possibly damaged in shipping.

Newegg service as always, rma'ed for a refund with no any issues. Newegg is the ideal. This is in all probability an excellent choice for earlier Macbook Pros, but did not work acceptably in my mid 2010 15" Macbook Pro with the i7 processor. similar video complications as other individuals, tearing, blinking, and so on. reinstalled original ram and all is now great. ran Rember memory test & the ram passed with the exception of the memory lock??? don't have a clue what memory lock is but apparently it's crucial for appropriate function in my Macbook. FYI the original memory passes the memory lock portion of the test.

Low cost Right after I installed this on 2010 15" i7 macbook pro, I started having screen flickers. At initially, I thought it was the computer system, and Apple replaced the motherboard. (The computer system was only 6 weeks old). But after Apple replaced the motherboard, it still happened. I took it back, and Apple suspected it was the ram. They replaced it with Apple ram (yes I know they are ridiculously high priced) and the difficulty went away.

Mushkin Enhanced 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM Dual Channel Kit Memory for Apple
Cons:None

Pros:Inexpensive
Comment:
Installed these in a mid 2010 13" MacBook Pro. Working perfect. Ran memtest overnight and have been using the computer since then without issues. It doesn't take long for Lion to eat up > 4gb with normal use simultaneously in 3 or 4 virtual desktops, so this upgrade has allowed my system to continue to hum along when it otherwise would have started to churn and slow down (with 4gb).

Nada Received very first batch of RAM. On installation into my i7 unibody MBP I see video glitches like other people have noted. Renders the computer unusable as it's practically constant. I RMA'ed that 1st batch and received a second a couple of days ago. Identical concern. On speaking with consumer service I uncover that I'm now locked into my acquire with no hope of a refund as it is 7 days past the original buy date. Also newegg will not exchange for yet another item due to 'policy'. They are also not responsible for manufacturer's defects, so please take up any difficulties with the manufacturer. These products are clearly not "Designed and tested" for new Apple merchandise as they claim here. My only option now is a replacement 3rd set of this RAM, I will report back as to regardless of whether it is a losing battle Consumer service is all sorts of mired in red tape with this concern, I fear that I'm out my buy price tag for a buggy set of RAM since of poor policy. I'm positive it's wonderful when it works but if you've got an i7 Macbook Pro then do not buy this item, and beware in common. Manufacturer Response:Greetings, We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact me at nick@mushkin.com and I will assist you get this kit replaced. Thanks!

Functions Great. Really quick shipping, and reasonably priced. None - running both Mac OS and Win7 64 for more than a month with no an concern. Continually running Adobe suite and MB just flies by means of any process. Following reading the evaluations I was a little cautious when searching for ram to upgrade my MacBook Pro ƒ.8 i7 - Fall 2010), nevertheless what I did notice was that Mushkin customer assistance was close at hand both monitoring NewEgg and by way of their web page so knew I was not alone. The ram installed with no a hitch, and has not given me a single concern more than the past four weeks. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade for any person that desires to jump to 8 GB. Parallels and WOW run with out a hitch now.
