Worked just fine out of the package. BIOS detects 9-9-9-24 at 1333. "Low profile" aka no heatsink fins to interfere with your CPU cooler. You really only want those obnoxious heatsinks if you overclock your memory. The package it ships in is just a plastic clamshell. I would have liked to see some non-static cushioning to minimize the likelihood of the RAM getting damaged for the duration of transit.I have not received a damaged box from UPS, but if those reviews are a sign of some UPS workers, a little additional cushion would be good. I haven't tested overclocking the memory, but you're better off obtaining 1600+ RAM and overclocking from there anyways. |

I applied this in my GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-UD2H it worked and its stable. Because it does specifically what it is supposed to it get's five stars. Because I have to put some thing here... Doesn't have cooler seeking heat sinks with leds and neon paint. Could appear cooler. Effectively since that stuff doesn't aid with stability I still can't dock it. I figured since people today give bad reviews for doa I would aid this out due to the fact occasionally it happens. Though it can be a pain I would in no way give a product a score unless I was on a second or third rma. |

Cons:Heatsink seems light, although solid, there could be more weight behind the heatsink.
Pros:Nice ram, solid heatsink (no slipping during install or removal). Comment:
Ram performs as expected, no issues with installation. $10 mail in rebate came in 3 weeks after requesting the rebate. Nice looking, sharp and silver. |

- Works with my motherboard. - Clearance is excellent even though still having some form of heat spreader. - Now with 12GB of ram, Photoshop can stitch together 25-50 image panoramas while I have three or 4 other programs running. I don't overclock, so I can't report on that. Also, I wouldn't anticipate much more out of 9-9-9-24 timing. I have a large CPU cooler and the fan would block two of the ram slots if the ram had big heater spreaders on them. Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3Core I7 860 Stock |

Pros:Stable, Fast, 8gigs, Doesn't have high ram sinks to get in the way of oversized CPU Coolers. Comment:
Decent looking, fast running ram at a great price when on sale! Slapped these in a Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H motherboard...boot up and installing windows. These are also normal profile meaning you can install them tight up against most/all oversized CPU Coolers. |

Pros:+8gigs+Works well+1.5 volt+No tall heatsink to hit other heatsinks Comment:
This is perfect for a system that you want 8gigs over 2 sticks for a great price(leaves 2 slots open for more). Will not be making any speed records with the 9-9-9-x timings, but good memory none the less. |

Worked great out of the box on an Asus P8P67 Pro. Didn't have to fool around with voltages or other nonsense. Memtest86+ stable for 12+ hours. I left them in the box for a few weeks and the heatspreaders started coming loose. Not a big deal but annoying. |
