I have three complete size computer systems with Gigabit NICs and a 1TB NAS with Gigabit NIC all plugged into this working with Jumbo Frame support. Every thing works perfectly. It replaced an older version that the power supply died. At about ฤ right after rebate it was a no-brainer to upgrade to the newer version with Jumbo Frame assistance. Not as tall as the Netgear A/B/G WiFi Router and the Netgear B/G WiFi Printer Server it's sitting subsequent to. At least it matches the colour. :-)

It's shiney It's too light for a door cease. As other folks have noted, continually drops Gb connection to 100Mb speed right after a week or so. The only way to reliably get Gb back is to pull the power plug on the switch. Spent numerous months pulling my hair to figure out why the speed kept dropping, replaced the wire in the walls, the patch cords, the connectors/keystones, and everything feasible trying to get it to keep Gb speeds, which has expense me lots of $$$, time, agrivation, and hair. Ultimately the switch was all that was left, and golly wouldn't you know (who'd have ever believed...). It will be retired quickly.

Operates fine, have been running it for a couple of months with no it freezing up. None Haven't tried gigabit speed information transfer, but it does recognize the gigabit wiring in the wall and connects to it at gigabit speed.

This is a excellent performing small unit for the cost. I've had mine on for more than a month with 4 gigabit connections that have a very good amount of activity and not a hiccup we've noticed yet. It also runs quite darn cool for its size and speed. 5 complete-speed ports that can be applied all together at complete speed. The speed indicators only display 1Gbps or not 1Gbps, so there's no way to tell amongst a 10Mbps or 100Mbps connection. Lightweight style so acquiring five cables in it can make it unbalanced from the weight of wires hanging over the edge of a desk. There's a vertical stand for it that I in no way used, but I would consider the balance con would be worse if it was vertical. Mine came with a sideways power adapter which will allow to be plugged in to a power strip and not take additional than on plug as an alternative of these giant adapters my old netgear router has, so that's a plus.

Fantastic switching speed. Operation is intermittent. It periodically disconnects some or all of the network drives connected to it. (Cables examine and power quality is excellent. Thermals are fantastic, atmosphere is cool.) I will replace it with a dependable D-Link switch. Netgear has lost me as a client for any equipment.

Low-cost Died right after ㅇ months, out of warranty. Didn't outright fail either, just intermittently slowed down connections. Wasted about five hours troubleshooting to locate this bugger :( Get one thing else.
