It's my second adapter like this one and it works as advertised. Reliable, cheap, good old Netgear.

Every couple of days it drops the router (that resides 5 feet from it) and needs to have drivers uninstalled and then re-installed. Netgear software is useless (other than the install is straightforward) as is Windows in reconnecting. Construction is good but I can't recommend because it works sporadically and needs too much care. I'll get a better wireless adapter soon.

Ok, the product works same like a new only need downloud the software and that set.

Tried it on three machines, all running XP, software installed fine, it could see the wireless networks, wouldn't connect to any, and yes - I used the correct security settings ;-)

I bought this product for an old desktop computer my parents had given me so I could move it to my basement and still use it. I was a bit weary when I bought it because it was so inexpensive so I thought it might not work. I got it in 3 days and was very impressed. The only problem was that I had brought my computer down to the basement before it came so when i got it i had to bring it back upstairs to plug it back into the internet router using the cable and install the required hardware. After that, it has worked wonderfully and will be buying more for my friend who has a laptop but cannot use it due to the lack of a wireless internet card.

I cannot find anything to fault with the product. Service was beyond expectations. Lucky I had a dialup for the driver though!

OK but must load Netgear software and gain is low (weak reception). There are better products out there.

My kid wanted internet in his room. In addition to not having a phone jack for our DSL, ,I wasn't sure I didn't want him to have unrestricted access to the web even though he regularly needs it for home work and his iPod. Setup was less than effortless but once we got it working properly its never stopped. When he needs the net,he asks for the device. He gives it back when he's done. I know when he's on and I didn't have to add anything but a usb device to add internet to any room in the house. Cool device. I recommend but be patient in installation.

This device has a really badly designed chip or something in it. It sometimes takes minutes to connect to my wireless at home, and stops working for minutes at a time with no help. I have a dlink access point so maybe it just doesn't like dlink, but I have 20 other devices that do (wii, ps3, laptops, etc) I ended up replacing it with a $5 noname usb device off ebay that works like a charm.

The product was broken. Netgear wouldn't answer questions since this was a refurbished product, a fact that was not disclosed in the ad.

This is another low price for a great product at TigerDirect! I've got friends that have been paying over 40 bucks for this usb wireless adapter. I find it hard to believe that it's so cheap on here. I just got one today and it works very well. Thanks for another good one TigerDirect!!!

Works good with vista if you let vista find the driver otherwise you might have problems. I have a full signal 40 ft. from the router

I've yet to get a bad one. I put these on older laptops without built in wireless and so far everyone of them works like a charm. Well worth the price and the delivery time is always 2 days or less!

Ok, got this from Tiger. Arrived in 2 days. No driver CD. Had to get drivers from NetGear website on other comp, burn to CD, then put on other computer to get it to work. After all of that, it only gets 56% signal strength and it's only in the next room in a mobile home! I'd probably spend a little more next time to get something better...

This thing is total junk. There is a reason they are so cheap and are selling a bunch of recertified ones. I want to say I love this retailer and they have always been great, and this is not really their fault. Do a google search on problems with this adapter, you will find a TON of people having problems. Mine drops connection over and over. It gets so hot you can barely touch the thing, even when I am not using the internet and it is just maintaining the wireless connection (trying to) I even tried opening the plastic case and putting a fan on it and it still drops and is not useable. For everyone that got theirs to work, thats great! I was not successful.
