Oversized and always overheating. Other than that it is reasonably useful.

Bought this to us with my laptop PCs that I fix up and give away or on occasion sell, and it worked great for setting them up, then the other day picked up a Mac G3 PowerPC laptop (Lombard). Couldn't find a supported PCMCIA card for it but a quick check and there is a driver for this neat little guy and it works GREAT getting my mac online with NO PROBLEMS. Great value.

This is the first recertified/refurbished product I have ever purchased. I was skeptical, but it has worked GREAT! The updated drivers are on the Netgear Website. Awesome product, I am buying two more.

I've got one of these adapters on a computer that is on 24/7 providing a constant feed to the internet. It has NEVER failed, and works flawlessly, and I have not seen it ''overheat''. As for not coming with drivers, etc...big deal. Even if you don't have an internet connection, surely you know someone who does. Get a grip. This is a fine device, and unbeatable for the price.

The only useful thing from this box were the velcro stamps. I can't give this thing even a value of 2/5 if they thing wasn't even useful for one day. After setting it up, the only times I was ever connected, it was working at 1mbps, reverting me to the dial-up days. The rest of the times, the thing was just trying to find my wireless router. Horrible machinery. Save the $11 for food.

I fought this for days trying both win2K and vista 64 opsys. This will not connect without unpluging/repluging over and over until it finally connects. It overheats and stops working. It has a very low effective transfer rate and ocasionally locks the pc up and it requires a power yoyo to break out ... garbage!

I purchased this in April '08 and it has worked perfectly so far. I doesn't overheat and hasn't dropped a signal since I set it up. I have a Vista set-up and I found the driver easily on Netgear's website. I am using it on my HP Pavillion a6110n desktop. Zero problems so far.

Not terrible, but less than you'd expect for the price in this particular market. It overheats constantly, and therefore shuts itself off. Is VERY hot to the touch. Connection speed is...acceptable. But barely. Would not recommend.

Very good product for the price. Very easy to install after downloading the drivers only took a couple of minutes and definitely a noticeable improvement in the quality of my internet. Was shipped to me in less then a week.

I wish I had read reviews before getting quickly suckered in by its price tag. I just spent a full afternoon with tech support on the phone. Quite an experience when your European accented English clashes with some Indian accent. At least the Techie Guy was patient. Thanks God I had two more laptops with both Vista and XP + Linux on them. Just after the Techie Guy gave up and blamed my D-link router it started working by itself. First 1Mbps than 18Mbps than full 54 Mbps. Ony for a couple hours though. Overheats so bad that it is almost too hot to touch, drops connection even though its about 10 feet away from the router. DON'T BOTHER! Spend your Buck for some other brand.

I've bought approximately 50 of these adapters, and have never had a problem with a single item...which is better than other manufacturers. The drivers are a snap for XP.

Had this adapter for two weeks and it constantly drops the signal. if you are in the market for a reliable adapter, the Netgear WG111v2 is definately not what you need.

Doesn't work with Vista 64-bit, even with driver updates. I'm saving it for potential use later. Thank goodness I had an Ethernet (CAT5 UTP) cable lying around! I'm sure that it does the job with more mainstream equipment.

Wow! I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before I purchased my Netgear USB Wireless Adapter because I would ''not'' have bought this product and that would have been a big mistake! I didn't have ''any'' problems with my Adapter, as a matter of fact I bought 2 of them and they both installed on my computers and connected to my AT&T Router without any problems.... I get on the Internet easily and thus far have not been disconnected nor has my connection dropped while I'm downloading very large programs...I'm very happy with my purchase and I would buy this product again. Completely fulfills my needs: Reliable connection of a 3rd PC in the Basement. Together with a refurbished Netgear WGT624, my 3-PC network cost me around $60. Hard to beat!

Just received this for my new Vista system. Downloaded the latest software from Netgear (v3.3 I believe) and connected to my Belkin router no problem. Absolutely no issues with the install or connecting to the router. Has been running for a few days now with no disconnects or lockups. Seems like the latest software has been optimized for Vista and is compatible with WPA security protocols also. My advice is to use the supplied USB cable to keep it away from the back of your box to help keep it cooler. Overall, very happy with my purchase so far.

I bought this to connect to the routers at my parent's and brother's house. It would constantly scan and nothing else. This is a waste of money.
