Great little device for adding Wireless-G to a computer that doesn't have an internal NIC. However, we used the two we bought for a couple of laptops and, since the USB ports are stacked one on top of the other, this device is too thick to allow you to just plug in another USB device. We easily fixed the problem with a couple of USB extender cables. Works great, but runs a little hot!

So far this product is as advertised. I purchased the exact same product from another dealer I won't mention. Cost with tax was twice the price of your product plus shipping. However I did get the software and had product in hand right away. With the software the product installs in a matter of moments. Overall I would recommend this product if someone has the means to access the internet for installation. You can't beat the price, and the product does exactly as it says.

had some laptops for sale so I bought 3 of these and installed them, that was easy and straight forward they all worked good, cheap wireless. next time I will look for these again

This Is good for wireless network close by. i had no problem with it. IT'S GOOD for computer that does not have built in wireless.

This wireless adapter is easy to use once you install the software off the Netgear website. However, the catch 22 is since it doesn't come with installation software, you have to have some other way to access the internet to download the software. Once you are able to do this, the install is easy and the wireless fired right up. It would be nice if they sent the $.10 installation CD with the adapter.

My personal experience with the device has been good though I recommend the product for use with desktop computers, which are stationary rather than laptops. I purchased one of the same a time before to work with a laptop, but the device slowly dismantled due to the constant portability. I currently have 2, though one is still in its packaging; the other is in use and has been working well for over a month.

I purchased this product about a month ago for my dad and we installed in on an older emachine with 1.0 usb jacks. it loaded quickly but it did not come with any software so we had to download it from the site in advance. other than that it is great.

Got 3 of these to set up a wireless network for the kids to go online. I found the driver easily on Netgear's site and all 3 hooked up fine and run like a charm. Easiest thing I ever did.

I have purchased two of the Netgear USB adapters. A customer of mine purchase a Linksys from a major retailer for more than double the cost of a Netgear, and the Linksys would not work. The Netgear worked right away, just had to get the software online.

No drivers included. Good luck downloading from the Netgear web site. I had to wait a week for the driver link to work. Now that I have the software, it works OK.

I was looking for something cheap so i can have another computer to use in the other room, so i got this and its a pain to install. They dont give you any disks so when you install it you need the drivers from the internet. After i got it going its overall an ok adapter.

I've read all the reviews on this item and i was unsure to buy but for 9.97 i decided to take a chance. The computer I'm using it on runs xp I've had it for a week now and it works great my router is in basement and computer is on 2nd floor they are farthest distance from each other and signal is still strong. I see people were talking heat issues with adapter but i haven't experienced it it gets warm but all adapters do. not the best adapter out there but for the price its more than worth it. also like other reviews said you have to go to website download drivers first dont connect adapter until after you install drivers first and use windows wireless utility eventhough i was able to connect netgear utility.

I borrowed a friends for a week and loved it. I then bought one from Tiger and it has been running non stop for a year. It took a few minutes to get it working on an old Windows ME machine, but it hasn't missed a beat. No set up issues at all with XP. I'm getting another to keep as a spare.

Adapter overheats then loses signal. Now I have to buy a new one.

I purchased this unit with no network experience. Took me awhile to realize my virus protection was keeping me from getting it installed. But after that it installed effortlessly. It been working great ever since.

NG on 2 xp pro systems. On the lappy it is recognized but never links to any of the three wifis i have access to. On the desktop it will work but only if i reinstall the driver each time before reconnecting it to the usb port. Save your bucks.
