Had this psu for a little over a year now and hasn't let me down yet. Been operating my pc pretty significantly everyday for 10-16 hours a day. Came in actually cool package with tons of cables, a lot additional than I use. Also has a good zip up bag you can retailer the additional cables in. 20Ʋ pin, 4pin, and 8pin are brief for my Antec 300. May well want to choose up some extenders if you have a tall midtower or full. Brief cables is why I'm taking off 1 egg.

Semi-modular style. Large, quiet fan. 80%+ effectiveness. I have it installed in a Rosewill Challenger case. The female molex connectors are difficult to plug in to the male plugs. I hope the rebate comes by means of. It has been approved and am now waiting for the rebate Visa card.

Some people dis OCZ P/S due to their roots in a less than stellar P/S maker. They seem to have undergone some revisions since OCZ purchased that company. I bought this due to the excellent value (with sale a rebate) and due to two years of good experiences with 600w units from the same lineup. In that time, I've experienced P/S failures with other makes but the OCZ ModXStream Pros just keep trucking.

Modular design, low cost cost. Still waiting on the rebate. Stated it was approved, but still haven't gotten anything in the mail. Appears like a good quality built item. Purchased as a replacement for the stock PSU on my Dell that died. Hoping this one will last at least as lengthy as the previous one.

It feels like it was well developed, and looks even far better! The fan is Massive; a full 135mm, but maybe that's standard for higher-finish PSU's right now - the final one I owned was an HEC. It has worked stabily for the last few weeks, and I expect it to function for a few years to come. The 3 year warrenty is also a nice addition. It is also pretty quiet; a good plus. The rear end of the unit (the section with the I/O switch) is perforated, permitting for far better airflow; a nice plus. Definately deserving of five eggs. It's also my first modular; it's good for decreasing in-case clutter. I very reccomend this PSU. Absolutely nothing whatsoever, altough I DID plug in a cable backwards, which could of fried my mobo; superior factor it had safeties. Purchased on a Shell Shocker deal with an Asus 1GB video card; it was a great deal. Glad I upgraded. I haven't recieved the mail-in-rebate yet, but it's only been a few weeks; I don't anticipate to have recieved it by now. Powered an AMD Dual Core CPU with a 1GB video card and 3gb of ram effortlessly; I bet it'll power my new rig just as superior. 5.five out of 5; eggcelent PSU.

No issues. Rebate hassles. This evaluation is additional just a rant, so please bear with. Went to use my rebate card these days, a prepaid Citi Visa card. Come to uncover out nearly all the amount was already applied at some beauty supply shop in some town in GA. I reside in WA. I even assume the charge was produced just before I received the card. Nevertheless will need to confirm. When I lastly got the card in the mail, it went straight into my wallet. Tried to use it currently and it only has a buck-oh-some thing on the balance. Genuine niiiice. I never ever put the card data out on the internets, so looks like Citi has some internal fraud going on. Why can't we just get a friggin' check in the mail like the old days. I can friggin' cash a check. I can use the whole balance, and not have a card with a buck-oh-five left on it that I'll just throw away. Sigh. Now I get to file a fraud case with Citi and wait an additional 2-3 months to hopefully get my pittance of a rebate. Think about meticulously no matter if its worth it to save a few bucks on a thing that gives you a poopy stab at a rebate.

Nice box. Nice cables. Died immediately after 8 hours of use. It takes far more than a week to get an RMA when dealing with their tech support. If had know all the hoops you have to go via just to return the item - I would have in no way purchased one. If you don't even use a black marker on the label back to them, they will reject the package and you loose your replacement. I can paste my all emails from them if requested. Forget about purchasing the OCZ brand. Your warranty on OCZ items is NOT reset when you get a replacement. It continues where the dead item left off. That's unfair. I really should have investigated this product initial - I see hundreds of folks getting the very same problem. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are very sorry for the difficulty. We care about our consumers and will see that you get a replacement unit. It is market standard to replace or repair a unit during the original warranty period. If a item develops an issues at 2 years, you have the remainder of the 3 year warranty remaining.Thank you

Cons:could use more modular cablingATX 4 pin and ATX 8 pin are hardwired

Pros:cheap with rebate and pricematchingmodular
Comment:
for the price, this power supply is great for systems with lighter workloads (HTPC, fileservers, etc). I've purchased 3 so far.The fact that it's modular is great in that if you don't need a cable, you don't have to have it in the system clogging cable-management channels or blocking airflow. The one disappointing thing about it is that the ATX 4-pin connector and ATX 8-pin connector are both hardwired into the power supply, when you'll only ever use one of them on a given motherboard.OCZ seems to be perpetually offering a mail-in-rebate for this power supply, so that coupled with a price-match usually means this power supply can be had for around $40.

Pros:Modular cables, quiet, good price

An excellent power supply for an outstanding price. Very few people need anything bigger than this, and you're not going to find as quiet a PS for anywhere near this price. Using it on a 6-core AMD system with 24 GB of RAM, a passively cooled video card, and several 2.5" HDs. All in a Thermaltake Level 10 GT case. The whole thing is absolutely silent, and definitely gets the job done. The modular cables and ties make it easy to do a neat, uncluttered, installation.

Cons:Mounting

Pros:ModularGreat Price, especially on sale
Comment:
If you're looking for something on a machine that doesn't require too much power, this will get the job. Great price for it, especially when it's on sale or if a MIR is attached to it. OCZ was really fast this time around, I had my MIR mailed in and in less then 3 weeks I got my money back, I was pleasantly surprised. While modular allows you to save a lot of space on the wiring some of them were cutting it close in length. Also, the mounting didn't seem to fit my case really well and I've noticed this on some of my other PC cases as well in the past so usually you deal with 2 or 3 holes.
