OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 120MM Fan Active PFC Power Supply
Cons:None.

Pros:Quiet, modular, great rebate.
Comment:
This is a very quiet power supply. The modular cables are excellent, and allow me to run with few cables and a lot less clutter. I purchased 2 of these from a Directly-related company, and both rebates were received amazingly quickly - within 2-3 weeks of mailing at my end. The cards themselves seem easy to use at a local restaurant.

Paid ฤ for this PSU by buying this in a combo deal with a Samsung DVD burner I wanted which had a ฤ instant savings and ฤ mail-in rebate. The last PSU I bought was a modular 450watt from OCZ about 6 years ago and it nonetheless works so I didn't hesitate to obtain this one.Love this modular PSU considering that I like my circumstances to have very good airflow and considering that I'm able to choose which connectors I need I don't have extras wasting space and blocking airflow. The cool bag to store additional cables in was nice.I don't expect having any problems with this PSU.OCZ makes top quality PSU's and the next time I obtain 1 be sure it will be an OCZ! None! Mail-in rebate takes forever. They scan your documents after about three weeks and for some reason wait 4 weeks or much more to mail you your cash.

Comment:
80+ is a requirement for PSUs I get. Enough juice to run my mid-level gaming rig. It's modular, but I ended up needing to plug in most of the cable anyway. A little louder than I would like, but not so loud that it's bothersome. Got this in a Shellshocker combo with a 9800 GT card. In no way bought an OCZ PSU just before, not regretting it now.

This is a sleek very good searching energy supply. It is modular and all cables are powerful and durable. It has a nice massive fan that operates silently and has a lot of connections. None 500 watts is a really decent size energy supply. It will run just about as significantly as you can hook onto it. A 6x processor and MoBo, radiator water cooler heat sink, 4 case fans, two hard drives, a floppy and a DVD/CD burner, plus a USB hub.

This is probably the cheapest modular power supply you can find. I have this running a low power server. I didn't want cables sitting in my case and wanted a low wattage power supply. This power supply fits my needs. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-10-11 05:19 PM

OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 120MM Fan Active PFC Power Supply
Cons:None, especially at $50 or under!!

Pros:Fantastic, stable, solidly built. Some OCZ PSU's are kind of cheap (the older 600-800W PSU's come to mind), but this one is well built, uses great components, and better yet - I've not had a single failure yet of about 5 of these units.
Comment:
Awesome power supply, and modular to boot! This PSU used to be $100+!The Modular cables are an absolute boon - it makes cable management much easier, and you often won't need to use all of the cables.

Spent a while looking for a solid power supply for my new build. I wanted something around 400-500W range. I am a Seasonic fan but did not want to spend the coin this time around. With the $20 MIR and the modular design OCZ was on par with what I needed. It runs quiet and I couldn't be happier.

This was a great power supply got it on sale in at a ncix grand opening for 50 dollars. So why not. Atm its powering my 460gtx and i5 2500k and 3 case fans and i'm getting no errors so i'm happy :D. I don't really see how its sli ready though but i didn't fall for it :p. I guess if you were to get low quality cards you could in theory sli but still seems like a scam.

OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 120MM Fan Active PFC Power Supply
Cons: Main 24/4 pin cables are too short.

Pros: Very quiet, Modular, Clean power for the price.
Comment:
Pros:The output on the 3V, 5V, and 12V rails all remain within 2-3% of advertised on my overclocked AMD system. It runs cool and the fan is near silent from a foot away. Modular and sleeved cables at this price are a nice bonus.Cons:Unfortunately all the cables are too short for my case!(Bottom Mounted PS) To reach the MB the 24 and 4 pin cables have to run direct, and to reach the top dvd/hdd the cables also run direct, so there is not enough slack for clean routing behind the MB.

Cons: All cables could stand to be a little longer8-pin EPS cable very short for bottom-mount casesSleeving could cover cables better

Pros: Seems good qualityModularSleeved cables
Comment:
Picked this up as part of my first build. Seems great quality, and modularity is a nice feature. The EPS 8-pin power cable is VERY short though if you're going for a bottom-mount case. I've got it in a CoolerMaster HAF912 and can't get it hidden behind the motherboard tray (it runs out in front of my video card instead). Getting an extension cable for it, so it's not a huge downside. The 24-pin connector could be a couple inches longer too, but can be routed behind the tray.Although the cables are sleeved, the sleeving is a mesh that lets you see the colours of the cables through - not a big deal for me, because I don't have a case with a window, but it might matter for some.

OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 120MM Fan Active PFC Power Supply
Cons: 500w for SLI? hmm

Pros: cool and quiet, stable voltages, modular cabling
Comment:
This OCZ PSU is replacing my crappy no-name one that came with my old case. The difference between that and the OCZ ModXStream Pro is like day and night; for one the voltages barely changed on the OCZ under load, where the no-name one varied more than 5% and was almost always under-volted. It's also very cool, and because of that the fan usually doesn't come on full blast. The 80-Plus certification is an additional plus. The only thing that I'm slightly miffed about is its claim to be SLI certified; yes it'll handle the full 500W (without exploding like the cheap 500W ones), but while I'm sure it'll work with say a pair of Radeon 5770s in CF or something, I'd be a bit worried with even a pair of GTX 260 in SLI (and actually it doesn't come with enough PCI-e connectors anyways since two 260s need four). Meanwhile the newer, more power efficient Nvidia cards are still more expensive than their older equivalents. So if you're looking to CF/SLI with this you'd have to weigh your GPU options. But in general I'm quite satisfied with this power supply, especially at the price I bought, so if you're looking for a reliable quality low-to-mid range power supply this might be it.

Cons: Some cables are a tad short.

Pros: Good value. Modular.
Comment:
Have this in a top mount case now... but in a bottom mount the P4 cable needs to be a tad longer. Love the modular designs now. So much more efficient. It's given very good power with no fluctuation.

Pros: Modular - Bronze Rated - Pleasant Looking - Nifty little pencil case for cables was unexpected
Comment:
Shopped around and this is one of the best bronze certified power supplies you can purchase at the lowest price point. Would suggest for anyone needing the extra power for a quality build not to overlook, or in some cases skimp out on getting this unit.
