Great PSU for the price tag. Runs extremely cool and is nearly totally silent. Not genuinely a con, largely an caveat: I thought I'd pay a lot more for a modular PSU to decrease cable clutter in my case but it turns out I necessary all the cables anyway. They put a lot of connectors on couple of cables so unless you have only one HDD and 1 ODD close together and all your fans plugged into the mobo you are most likely going to have to use all the cables just like I did. Great PSU... absolutely recommend and would buy again.

This is my second OCZ PSU I bought (my first one was the old OCZ Modstream 450) since I had no issue with the first one (except low wattage) and decided to stick with OCZ. I have this for over a year now and it's still working without a flaw.My only gripe with this is with the fan grill. My computer case has metal 'tabs' to hold the PSU in place. I had to unscrew the grill as it protrudes out, and displace it a bit to mount it to my case properly.

I got this PSU for 50 bucks with a totally free dvd burner awhile back, creating it an incredible deal. The modular cables are nice. I have had no challenge powering my gear so far which consists of Phenom II X4 965, Radeon HD 4850, four gigs of DDR3 memory, and several case fans. I wish the four pin cpu power connector was a small longer.

Uncomplicated to install. Quiet. Able to power five difficult drives with no difficulty. Rebate is a joke. It's a pre-paid credit card, that in my case was not even activated. A lot of others have had complications with their small game. Don't bother with it. Why do all these things have lights in them now? Fairly silly.

My 1st modular energy supply. It's the way to go! Good. Just the 1 4 pin? connector is short that goes to the motherboard. I created mine fit but it requirements 6 inches to be ran correctly. they sell extentions but I created it fit. ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO motherboard/ AMD phenom II 555 processor/ Important Ballistix 4GB DDR3/OCZ 600 moderular power supply/ ASUS DVD burners/big video cardǗTB hitachi deathstar drive.... and Windows 7 to best it off. Easiest pc I ever put together. runs like a dream

Powersupply works as it need to. Modular cables keep issues clean in the case. Some of the cables are a bit short, specially if you are using a case exactly where the powersupply mounts on the bottom. Overall, the item is fine. The 1 egg rating is for the rebate. Even if you follow all the rebate guidelines, and devote your time cutting small pieces of the box up to mail in, printing forms, and so on., you will *NOT* get your rebate. Why? Due to the fact they can alter the guidelines in midstream. So by the time they approach your rebate, oops, you missed the timing! I assume that I essentially prefer a TSA enhanced pat-down to this nonsense! Producers, take note, these rebate scams acquire you no goodwill and customers will opt for to obtain from other organizations. I know that I will select a business that gives a lot more transparent pricing in the future.

Good seeking design and runs quietly. Right after about 2 months, I began experiencing troubles with the unit. My computer crashes on a regular basis. Often when I turn my personal computer on, my monitor doesn't receive a power signal from the laptop or computer (the monitor is not the challenge). Other occasions when the laptop or computer is on, my monitor will lose energy signal. Occasionally when I go to turn the laptop or computer on, my pc won't respond and I have to wait to try again later. Ultimately the laptop or computer would not turn on at all, and the power supply had no voltage (checked with voltmeter). I sent the unit back to OCZ and was sent a "reconditioned unit." The reconditioned unit still crashes like crazy. Horribly unreliable item. Sometimes the power provide will only turn on when it's UPSIDE DOWN. I couldn't get my personal computer to turn on, so I opened the case and took the power supply out. While it was upside down, I turned it on and it worked. I turned the computer back off, put the power provide back into its original position and attempted it once more. The power supply would not turn on. It does what its supposed to do and handles almost everything I throw at it. Operating a Phenom x4 955 OCed at 3.8ghz and a wimpy ATI 5570 so I can play my starcraft. Got my rebate and I'm pleased with it. Decided that writing a evaluation practically right after 8 months of ownership would be justified. The inside of my case is so clean and simple to dust without all the wires. Only use what you need. None so far.

Once all the important adjustments are made, the RAM works at 1600 MHz with timings of 8-8-8-24 as advertised. In order to have the RAM operate at advertised speeds and timings, you are required to make modifications to settings in the BIOS beyond what is listed in the specifications on newegg.com. For example, I also necessary to alter the tRFC to 88 and change Command Rate to two from the stock settings. I have in no way had to do this for any other RAM I've purchased. I also needed to change the BCLK from 133 to 160, but I do not fault OCZ for this. If it weren't for the poor service I received, I would have given the RAM four eggs. I took off another egg for the reason listed below. Their tech support was much less than perfect. They only seem to give support by way of their on the web forums rather than by email for phone. Moreover, it took them 1 week to reply to my support request and that was following I posted a bump in my thread to move it to the best of the forum queue. Lastly, I am operating into difficulty with getting my rebate honored for this product. I have submitted 3 other rebates, 1 was even for an OCZ energy supply and the other two are from other manufacturers in the last month. These had been all purchases from newegg and they processed with no issues, but the rebate processing company is claiming that the UPC code and the rebate form were not included in the envelope when I am 100% specific that I included those items. Buyer beware. With no the rebate, the value for this RAM is diminished.

Exceptional, running phenom triple core, 4 gigs ram, 1 TB tough drive, nvidia 9800 GT. I originally had a 500W Earthwatts but it just wasn't adequate. The modular cables are awesome and saves on the clutter. Comes with a small bag to keep the spare cables in. Cables are a little stiff, but this isn't definitely a con as a lot as a testimony to the cable top quality. would absolutely buy an additional if this one somehow died.

Great upgrade for a method with an below-powered power supply. The modular cable connections are good - much less mess in a cramped case. The improvement for cable management is really rather desirable: as soon as you've applied a PSU like this one you won't want to go back. Overall I've been really happy with this PSU. I surely advise it! Some case and power supply combo deals are less costly than just this PSU.

This power supply is massive, but excellent at the same time. Feels like it was built by the military. Modular cabling allows for minimum cables, which reduces the mess inside the tower. The cable lacing is a great touch. Fan is extremely quiet.
