Cons:For $30 non really.

Pros:Cheap. From what I've read in reviews very good temps with this.
Comment:
What else can you say about probably the only good product from OCZ that hasn't been said already. For $30 you can't go wrong, although I would recommend a Scyth Gentle Typhoon fan to take this thing over the top.

Cons:bracket needed for the intel i5 was not included.

Pros:much better than the stock cooler that came with my cpu, dropped my temp by 20c.
Comment:
I bought this a because I bought the original vendetta in the past and I’m happy with it as it dropped my temp by 20c degrees, so when the vendetta2 went on sale I jumped on it for a future build as it will be even better with the larger 120mm fan and bigger cooler. It came well packaged in protective foam and not some cheap cardbox.I only wished that the bracket needed for the intel i5 was included and not an extra cost option.

Cons:Somewhat hard to install (although true for all 775 heatsinks), Residue when removing plastic cover.

Pros:Inexpensive, Very good cooling.
Comment:
Got one when it was on sale and the cooling is great, bumped my idle temps down from 45-35. Only problem during installation: When removing the plastic protective film from the base of the heatsink lots of plastic residue remained... was hard to remove, even with alcohol.

Cons:None at all

Pros:Very inexpensive
Comment:
For the price I paid for this heatsink, it performed very well. My temperatures are in the mid 30's for my e8400 dual core and it matches the xigmatek heat sink that I got also. Very good buy, recommended.

Pros:Cools wellFairly quiet
Comment:
When I first got this to use with my X4 940, I really had a hard time figuring how I would install it. Now that I have already done it once, its not a problem, but this thing being huge and the whole fan attachement thing made it hard at first. The Thermal paste it comes with is quite a bad one, so it would be wise to get some better one. I like the noise it makes with the fan, even when set at max speed its very acceptable for me.

Cons:Blocks some memory banks from extended (heat pipe) heat sink usage

Pros:Excellent CoolingLow NoiseRelatively InexpensiveLow Maintenance
Comment:
I received the vendetta 2 a few weeks ago and set it up when I got it. Wanted to play / tweak it a while before writing a review.A lot of online reviews stated mounting the fan to the heat sink is a pain-in-the-butt, which I can clearly see when I set it up - however a set of pliers made quick work of pulling the rubber mounts through the fan. It's not as difficult as some people would let on.The heat sink is quite large, but fits in my Antec Sonata III case with some headroom left. One note is that some motherboards have an issue with the size - for me it's that I cannot use extended heatpipe ram heatsinks due to my motherboard layout; the heatsink sits above the 1st and 2nd heatsink slots on my motherboard. The standard ram fits fine, but I have to be careful which ram I buy to upgrade. Some system specs:I'm running it in a Asus M2N-E (AM2) w/ AMD Phenom 9950, stock quad 2.6Ghz at 2.9Ghz (OC by multiplier)The cooling is exceptional compared to the stock HSF. For 100% cpu utilization, I run FoldingiHome ~2 days. The stock multiplier w/ stock HSF are as follows:(at 2.6Ghz) 34c idle, at 100% cpu 48c.With the OCZ Vendetta II installed:(at 2.6Ghz) 27c idle, at 100% cpu 40c.At overclock (with OCZ Vendetta II installed)(at 2.9Ghz) idle is 33c, at 100% cpu 49c.I'm currently waiting on different RAM (1066) before I overclock further with frequency multipliers.Overall, this is a kick-ass heatsink and fan - and one of the best air heatsink / fan packages out there.Cheers. Cons:installation is not entirely easy, plus it's really tall, just fits in my Antec 900 case. I was a little unlucky, the tape that covers the cpu contact area was stuck to the copper and aluminum so I had some degumming to do in order to get the heatsink back to a polished state.

Pros:quiet, keeps temps cool
Comment:
I installed this with the Thermalright backplate kit, it's a little tough to get the screws in place, but it's a solid fit. Remember to screw it down before you put the fan on the sink because the fan gets in the way of the screws. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-24-09 12:49 PM

Cons:the push pin mounting.. god i hate those, i don't have enough space on one side of the cooler to push it down easily.. grab a bolt through kit, it'll be worth it. better temps too.. otherwise its solid cooler!!

Pros:Very nice cooler for the price.. best bang for buck by far.. dropped my temp a good 10-15 deg going from a artic pro freezer 7 to this..Love it.
Comment:
Buy it!! you will not regret it. for the price and preformace i don't think there is a better cpu cooler. i have a e8400 and it keeps it at 40 degs at full load. (my room is a very warm room too, not a good spot for my comp) amazing cpu cooler!!

Cons:You can't put fan on other side

Pros:Cheap, silent, extremely awesome performance
Comment:
This thing is way quite, cheap for $40ish and performs almost as good as low-mid end water cooling products. It is better than xigmat and in most reviews, it has the lowest temperature than any other air cooling products. Makes your cpu go as low as 20c

Pros:Great cooling, low priceCan buy a bolt-through kit or use included pushpinsDecent fan included
Comment:
Excellent cooling, only slightly less performance than a TRUE which costs twice as much. The included fan is pretty good, though the fan mounting mechanism is a bit difficult to install but effective. Comes with pushpins but you can buy a seperate bolt-through kit which I'd recommend.

Cons:this thing is huge. didn't fit in my case

Pros:Very quiet, keeps things nice and cool
Comment:
Bought this for an AMD 720 BE, and it keeps it at around 27 degrees when overclocked to 3.2ghz. The fan is nice and quiet, but the heatsink takes up alot of room in teh case, infact its so long that makes it impossible for me to close my case up. Measure your case to make sure it's wide enough before getting this thing.

Cons:Huge, blocks ram slots

Pros:Keeps cpu very cool
Comment:
Using this on an asus M4A78-E, the heatsink blocks the first two dimm slots, which prevents ram with heatsinks that protrude beyond the chips themselves from being used, and in turn limits ram overclockability. Otherwise, great heatsink

Great Cooler, keeps my Intel q9550 ice cold. idle temps are 28-30 deg, and under full load have yet to see them go above 50 deg. Only one con VERY BIG!, make sure you put cooler on the mobo, then the fan, and then into the case.

Cons:Not many. I didn't like the pushpins so I cut them and added the Thermalright Bolt Thru Kit.

Pros:Nice cooler of decent size. Way better then any Intel cooler and should keep your CPU.
Comment:
This was used in my Antec 900 case with a Gigabyte UD3P mobo and a Q9550 processor. It's of pretty good size but not so big that it's too heavy. Fan moves a decent amount of air and isn't too loud (I don't care about sound much though). If you're thinking of getting a custom cooler for your CPU for gaming or OCing this is decent.

Cons:-fan mount-single fan-plastic pushpins

Pros:-very effective cooler
Comment:
I'm very happy with this cooler in terms of its performance. Coming from AC7, it lowered load temperatures by 5 degrees. I used a bolt through kit since I didn't like the plastic ones that came with the cooler.Major weakness is fan mounting design. I thought i would snap the rubber mounts when i was pulling it through the fan holes. It took me more than 30 minutes to install >.< . The fins can also cut you if your not careful. A pain to install but worth it at the end.

I bought this to finally OC my q6600. I waited for a thermalright backplate kit and avoided using the pushpin setup completely. I overclocked to 3.4GHz (377x9)1.4V I idle at 28C, load at 40C with ambient temperature of 22C. I used MX-2 and am very pleased with this heat sink.edit-For installation I removed my mobo. Attached the rubber fan mounts.Mounted using the backplate.Added fan using needle nose plyers to pull the rubber 'thingies' through. This review was modfied by poster @ 02-24-09 01:13 PM

This cpu cooler is a beast in every way. Its keeping an overclock q9550 k 3.7 really cool. I could probably push it further but my north bridge is getting hot. The installation went smoothly, but i hate the stupid push pins. and if people read this, screw on your MB before you put this on. it makes it 10000x easier.

I bought this to overclock a 3Ghz E8400 (E0). With the stock heatsink I was lucky to get to 3.6Ghz, and even then, it was unstable. So I googled around, and decided to buy the Vendetta2...and now I am running the E8400 e 4.6Ghz and prime95 24h stable :)The only issue I had was the push pin. It was really unstable so I ditched it for a back-plate mounted solution from Thermaltake.

So i got this the other day and had the worst time in my life trying to install it. got a bolt through kit for it just to be sure cause this thing is massive. Trying to screw this in is just a pain cause the heatsink itself blocks the holes. But for the trouble its a Great product, Temps are way down especially on load. It does what its made to do, so whats an extra half hour for instalation? Best thing to do is take out the mobo, dont put the fan on it till you have it screwed to the board, and then try and slam that fan on. little trick but with most boards it shouldnt be too hard. One thing to watch is the fins on the heatsink. i slashed my finger trying to put the fan on. Works like a charm though!

Comment:
I just bought this today and here are the temperatures of my Q9450 before and after installation. This might give some idea to people who want to buy this product. Overall, I am very satisfied. The only thing is kind of hard the install since it is big, hard to play around at those push pins at the corners especially if you have mid size case like Antec 300. I had to remove my 9800GT and North Bridge Heatsink as well as I could not put my fingers underneath it with them. One hint, if you are having problems installing those black rubber pins into the fan, put the pins into the fan first and then install the fan into heatsink. If you put the pins first into heatsink then you can not apply enough pressure to connect fan to the heatsink. At least personally I could not since I thought I would damage the fins of heatsink. Before Vendetta 2 with the stock cooling of Q9450min 45 34 55 36max 63 57 55 55After Vendetta 2 - the motherboard at horizontal positionmin 45 28 55 30max 45 29 55 32After ocz vendetta 2 - the motherboard at vertical positionmin 45 27 55 28max 45 40 55 32Temperatures measures with Real Temp which is a very good program that gives accurate temps for your CPU.

Cons:it's huge! seriously huge... 6.5 inches top to bottom. If you have a side intake fan, it may not fit (I have maybe a micrometer to spare.)

Pros:Awesome heat dissipationseriously... what else can you say about a heatsink?Outperforms almost all of the fancy Tt or Antec or Zalman designs$/ performance ratio is second to noneIdle temps dropped 5-7 deg compared to stock cooler... but under load...hoooo boy! 15-25 deg drop.on an lga775 board, the clips provided are all you need to hold it on, I know it's heavy, but you don't need in rear bracing kits.
Comment:
Ideal situation: install the thing with the mobo removed.probable situation: do not install the fan before resting it into your case. Also, make sure one or two of the clips are "snagged" in the holes of an intel board before letting it rest the clips are kind of loosey goosey before anchoring them.Love it!
