I'm a laptop novice and also have never installed memory on one before. I bought it for my ACER AS1410 and simply unscrewed the back panel and popped it in. The machine recognized it instantly and it works like a dream:)

I bought this to fit in my EEE PC 900A, replacing the original 1gb stick from the OEM. When I installed this, the MB did not appear to recognize it at first power up, but after getting into the bios setup it appeared correctly in there and after saving the changes (which I did not actually make any) it has worked perfectly since. No problems, I would recommend this to anyone with an EEE PC.

Installed and started up my computer, now running slightly faster.

installed and turned computer on and the computer did not see the New Memory. Removed Ram reinstalled it, and again computer did not see ram. Turned computer off and on, each time checking for new Memory nothing... then after the 4th time.. poof... the memory is found and not problems since... Laptop is a Sony and not Junk.

Installed 2 modules in a Toshiba laptop running Vista. Everything runs 10x faster!Remember for people running XP 32-bit that you can have a maximum of 3gb of ram. The other 1gb ram gets sucked into a black hole or something.

First time buying Patriot for SODIMM, works perfect out of the box. No errors detected after running memtest for over 20 complete passes. Patriot seems to have a pretty good support as well, although only operates through US so turn around time could be long.

I couldn't believe when I saw this RAM on sale for a unbeatable price. I have wanted to upgrade the RAM in my Dell 640m laptop as it's running Vista Home Premium and has always been a little sluggish. I already had 1 GB or RAM in it, with only two slots I figured I'd replaced one of my 512MB with it. It was posted that my laptop could only use 2GB total. But I popped it in and booted up. I noticed the difference right away. A great upgrade for a great price.

Memory upgrade compliments the other memory in my laptop. Vista recgonizes all 4 gigs too. Laptop is very speedy now.

Its perfect for a macbook pro. I got some for Christmas and the installation wasn't bad at all. Just pop them in and go, nothing else to it.
