PowerColor Radeon HD 6850 AX6850 1GBD5-DH Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:
none
Pros: quiet, good performance, Comment:
good card. I got it on special, a lot better then the HD5770 I was planning to buy, also I can crossfire with an another one maybe in a year for a good boost in performance. Good card if you plan to crossfire. It runs all my game at high setting, like Dragon age 2 and Crysis 2. |

PowerColor Radeon HD 6850 AX6850 1GBD5-DH Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:
Too bad this is a replacement of the 5700 series cards and not the 5800 series like I thought.
Pros: Plays everything I throw at it on high-ultra settings. Fan isn't too loud. Overclocks easily (800/4200), Never got the temps above 81c. Comment:
This card replaced an Nvidia GT220 1GB. Installed without a hitch. Just one 6-pin pci-e wire needed. Fast, cool, quiet, love it. |

Pros: Performance/Cost ratiorelatively small cardrequires less wattagequiet Comment:
Just got this card, upgraded from a 4850. I didn't read the installation notes first, so I just went ahead, popped out the old card, put in the new, and turned on the computer. sorry, won't boot, nada. Took everything out, read the installation guid, rebooted, completely un-installed all previous old video drivers. Then turn off, and install new card. Presto! Now it works. Card performs great, all my games now play at high/ultra high settings. Card is quieter than my 4850. I think the streamlined rear exhaust system quietens things down a lot. Pretty card. At idle, GPU temp is at 37C, my Phenom II 720 is running at 40C or so. I doubt the card will heat up much under load. Haven't tried overclocking it. I read some reviews saying that this Powercolor card has slightly cheaper components and can't be overclocked as easily. Not sure though. Anyway, stock speeds is great for me, a 10% overclock isn't going to do much anyway for me. |
First time buying PowerColor. I still prefer XFX for their slim box designs and arsenal of accessories, but that's the superficial side of me. At the heart of the product is the GPU. Although the cage for fan and heat-sink feels a little on the cheap side, I'm sure overall it's comparable in performance to any other 6850. Respectable buy.
