Button presses are on point and the sound tends to make you really feel like you're really doing one thing, if you type rapid you'll start to sound like a machine gun. It does get a bit loud but that's expected coming from a mechanical keyboard. Luckily I like the sound but other people may possibly not be able to tolerate it. The backlighting for the keys provides the keyboard a good touch, specially if you play in a dimly lit room or in the dark. And you don't like it you have three brightness settings of low, medium, and higher or you can just turn it off altogether. There are a few additional keys on the left hand side of the keyboard M1-M5, I haven't located any use for them yet but I'm certain a hardcore gamer could. The most significant con I have for this keyboard is that the keys are also close to each and every other that they tend to rub and depress even when you don't imply to. Most notably the space bar depressing the right ALT important. In the heat of typing you'll sometimes get the file drop menu mainly because of this and it gets annoying. I'm certain there is a property produced fix for this, I even attempted shaving down the essential a bit with a little file to improve the space between the keys but the believed of obtaining plastic shavings in the keyboard turned me away. I've read alot of individuals's gripes about this so hopefully RAZER will bring out a newer version with keys that are at least spaced 1mm much more apart than the keys on this keyboard. Other than the a single con I had (which is why I took off one egg) this keyboard is really excellent! The construct is solid, weight is hefty, and the keys are crisp. I've only had the keyboard for about a week and a half so I can't speak for it in the long run but so far so good.

Newegg got the keyboard here swift, I was so pleased the keyboard looks wonderful, audio works very good, the lights are nice adn good good quality. NO BLACKWIDOW KEYBOARD CONNECTED. This is what I get when I try to use the configuration software program. I was so mad, I tried to connect help but got a e-mail telling me to wait, hope I didnt make a mistake receiving this keyboard. I dont know a lot about RAER's support but I'm hoping its good I actually like the keyboard but if the application dosent work its going back. Not giving up yet help will tell.

This keyboard is awesome. Confident, it lacks dedicated media keys (they are still accessible by means of the function crucial) and it could not have lights in distinct colors or a G15-esque screen. But the feel of the keys, that tactile feedback, the subtle amount of pressure needed to actuate the keys. If you like a clicky really feel from your keyboard, this is for you. It requires a little acquiring utilized to, but I don't even game with it. I just enjoy it for typing, programming, and so forth. It's a joy to sort on. Positive it's loud. It's developed as a gaming keyboard. Gaming is not precisely the most quiet activity out there. But trust me, unless a person sleeps in the similar room as you or you Genuinely need to kind stealthily, it's not a massive deal. The advantage of the mechanical action FAR outweighs the negatives of how loud it is.

Extremely well produced, fantastic response time on keys. keys are really loud and the keyboard is pretty thick and heavy. Even though this is a good keyboard, the sound of the keys is so loud it distracts though gaming or just typing. My wife can hear it in the other room, so at night when she goes to bed I have to cease typing. The sound is incredibly annoying. I would not obtain this item again.

RAZER Black USB Wired BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Cons:- Terrible software- None of the macros work using Razer Synapse software- None of the macros work using "on-the-fly" recording

Pros:- Mechanical keys feel quite responsive- Backlighting is well-done
Comment:
Bought this keyboard brand new and was happy to see that it came preloaded with the latest firmware. Yet still, right-out-of-the-box, none of the macro functionality works at all.If I had know this would be the case, I would've bought a different keyboard without macros for much cheaper.Searched the net for a fix to no avail. Sent a ticket into Razer, will wait to see what happens. If they force me to pay anything to RMA it, then they've permanently lost a tech-savvy customer whom many friends ask for product recommendations. I can understand a product that works kinda buggy, but for a key feature to fail quality control to not work at all is totally unacceptable by my standards.

Pros:Easy to typeBacklit optionsGood software supportPrevent going to window buttonAnti-ghostingMacros (I don't really need it to be honest)

Overall, I'm satisfied with this product. This is my first mechanical keyboard for my daily usage. I use this for gaming and typing my document. My previous keyboard (Logitech office keyboard combo) wasn't right for me. The keys are super hard to press. When I type more than few hours, my fingers begin to feel tired. I tried typing on this Razer keyboard for couple hours and my fingers don't feel as tired as before since each key is quite light. I don't even need to put a lot of forces.Gaming wise, it is not bad. It is anti-ghosting so it is good for me when I'm playing Battlefield 3 which I need to press quite a lot of buttons. OVerall, I'm happy with the price I paid for this keyboard

-Backlit keys are very hassle-free, specifically with the four unique levels. -It is particularly loud, which is what I expected. Men and women that complain about mechanical keyboards getting "loud" do not know what a "mechanical keyboard" is.-DO NOT mess with the on-the-fly macro essential ahead of you read the manual! If you accidentally hit it, it will record all of the keys you hit from then on till you hit the button once more.-This keyboard consumes 3 USB ports (I feel) and the cord is Quite thick.-The USB port ON the keyboard doesn't work properly with microphones for some purpose. It comes out as fuzzy.-Placing the FN button and the Macroing button wasn't as well good of an idea. This keyboard doesn't truly appear also substantially of a gaming keyboard than it does "work" keyboard (graphics, blah, and so forth). If you're seeking for a strict gaming keyboard go for the Razer Anansi.

This is my very initially Razer item and I have been a Computer gamer given that 1993. Gaming keyboards...I've owned them all...and I imply them all. Some have great backlighting but crummy software program, some have great built in LCD screens but crummy backlighting, some have detachable ten-essential pads, some have specific "gaming only" movement keys, some are desk pigs and other people are just not adequate. I could go on about the mushy or tactile feel of the keyboards I've utilized etc or how I could never locate the a single that was "just appropriate"....but I believe that this keyboard to me appears a ideal balance among form and function. They keys are clacky, but no far more than a mouse click and I come across the sound pleasant. The backlighting is brilliant, adjustable from fully off to bright and stunning and the macro software package is streamlined and efficient - it is not a background resource hog like the software program for other merchandise I've tried. Keyboard incredibly well done, Razer. Nothing at all is great but this product is incredibly close. Only a single complaint right here; truly its a lot more of a preference....how about a matte black keyboard for a alter? Bottom line: this factor is a fingerprint - dust attracting shiny magnet beauty.....retain a microfiber cloth handy to clean it if you want to get rid of the dust and fingerprints with out scratching it. For quality mechanical gaming keyboards its really down to two IMO....the BlackWidow and the SS 6Gv2. If you're a backlighting addict like me and you need to have macro assistance, get the BlackWidow - its funds properly spent.

The keyboard is mechanical, is backlit, has 5 macro keys, and has it's own macro system. Upon opening the package and plugging the keyboard into my computer system, I realized that about 30% of the time when I pressed the space bar the proper alt important also pressed down. This has caused me to RMA the keyboard. I don't see how a keyboard this costly could have such a important flaw.

I love the tactile feedback on this keyboard and the backlighting. The keys seem to be laser engraved as well so they will not wear out. Plug and play works, but you need to software to customize of course. Only downside is the gloss... collects dust like a vaccum filter!

RAZER Black USB Wired BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Cons:-the function+sleep does not work well with my system-cannot press two buttons at same time, you have to release one fully before making your second button work, this isn't really noticeable for most people-loud at night

Pros:-Mechanical-Backlighting of 5 levels of brightness-media functions-great tactile feel and sound
Comment:
This keyboard is my first gaming keyboard so I don't have the right to bash on other keyboards but this is one awesome keyboard. The backlight's help out immensely at night time when I tend to look at keyboard in certain games. The feel and speed I get out of this keyboard is just plain awesome. The media functions are useful and the USB and headset port just solved my issues of short wiring problems on my Orochi (my siberia V2 had a long enough wire but w.e) The only gripe i had is the FUNCTION + SLEEP (which is located on PAUSE/BREAK button on the top right corner. It just sort of made my comp sleep and never wake up. So Forcing me to pull cord after shutting PSU off, I hated doing that.Other than that. the keyboard (though I thoroughly ENJOY the sounds I get from typing rapidly) It does, nonetheless, get loud. at night time. But hey if theres noone around then no problem! =)I recommend this keyboard to anyone who has the cash (it is quite costly) as it is a great quality built keyboard with great functions.

good vibrant keys, the feel is excellent, the response time is essentially 3ǚths more quickly in key registration, and the response time is 4x more quickly than all common keyboards with a 1000Hz polling rate... that's about a 700% efficiency enhance the sound, honestly I would prefer a silent keyboard with this identical really feel but that's not achievable... unless someone invents a mechanical keyboard that supresses the click sounds I prefer the feel of the G15-two over this although lead to of the sound this makes.. that keyboard was 125Hz and you gotta press like 7Ǟths down for it to register but still I like that more than this..., my left space bar broke on it so I had to upgrade, I would get the G510 but realized it was only 500Hz and this 1KHz

1) Backlit keystwo) Rapid response time3) USB and headset plugs on the side4) Soild piece of hardware5) Provides me longing glances from across the room ;) The only genuine con for me was mentioned by someone else. Its the truth that particular keys that have two markings on them are not absolutely illuminated. For example... on all the quantity keys, the #s are lit but the symbols are not. Quite a few of my passwords have symbols so it would be good to see them in the dark as well. At any rate I'm practically a touch typist so its not worth taking away any eggs. I have a custom built rig but was still using the keyboard from an old HP Pc. While its just a keyboard, I ought to say its gotten me pretty excited about my Computer once again. A single of the settings enables the lighting to go on and off so it pulsates. Add that to the blue glow of my Antec 902 case and man does it look SWEEEEET in the dark! My wife thinks its funny how I'm in like with my Computer. Just wait till I add a new mouse and monitor we'll see who's laughing then :P
