Great keyboard with rapidly responsive keys, incredibly tough and the back light is wonderful as nicely. don't like the Enter important so modest. But overall no problem what so ever seriously adore the package when it arrived. Everything was brand new. (Although I had a challenging time with Purolator since of thir poor poor customer service which delayed my package for 4 days =.=)

This is my initially mechanical keyboard and I like it. My previous was rubbery stuff that was poorly created and tricky to sort on. The back lighting is really good and has three levels of "brightness". Macro keys are handy for programming stuff that you usually need two keys to do (i.e. switching between languages.) I bought this straight from Razer rather than newegg. I waited a month for the keyboard and until I complained to Razer's CS, they didn't ship it out to me. Out of the box the insert important light was burnt out. I contacted their CS once more and right after a week of going back & forth they told me they would RMA it and then send me an apparent refurb. I was told I would get goodies for waiting, and I didn't get something. Not even a CD with the stupid drivers which I had to go download off their internet site. Not sending this back to RMA. Not going to get a refurb and then have to deal with that b/s. Hell knows when I'd even get a different keyboard contemplating they are so backordered. I like the keyboard but I am completly disappointed with Razer and their CS. All I wanted was a mechanical keyboard that glows in the dark. I hope additional makers catch on this trend in the future so I never have to deal with Razer once more.

- sturdy construction- clicky feedback, fantastic for rpg/mmo/rts games + apps that has several hotkeys like adobe or 3d modeling software.- re-mappable keys- nice straightforward, compact style, looks expert- no gimmicks- cool back-light to impress guests - would favor the usb ports to be in the front of the keyboard as an alternative of the ideal, as for now its useless given that my mouse is so close to it.- the F keys are a bit too far to the ideal, would favor them to align with the number keys. - can be a bit noisy late at night when your household is asleep, hope your computer isn't in the same space. The keys were a bit noisy at initial compared to my old Razer Reclusa but it only took me a week to get applied to it. Now I don't even discover it. As soon as you play with it for a week, attempt going back to a membrane keyboard, it will feel like your typing on gel. Like quite a few people today have mentioned, once you go mech there's no going back!

I upgraded from a G15 due to the fact I was searching for a mechanical keyboard. This a single fit the bill perfectly, I couldn't be a lot more happy with my obtain. I had no problems with my G15 but I wanted a mechanical keyboard so I bought this. The backlight is significantly brighter (and consistent across the keyboard) than on the G15. The font is kind of unusual, particularly with the R and Y, if you are the kind of individual who looks at the keys just before you press them, this may well annoy you some. Also, it should be noted that the non-letter keys are upside down for some cause (for instance the 1 is above the !). This wasn't as well poor at initially, but it can be annoying on some of the less used keys, such as the / being below the ?. Good keyboard, I surely would advocate it for everyone searching for a fantastic mechanical keyboard.

Great really feel! it's friggin' heavy (could also be a con based on your preferences). It feels heavy duty. The key-click sounds wonderful, and I'm coming from an ABS M1 keyboard (very loud). I haven't knowledge any Ghosting difficulties I play BC2. It's great... I also play SC2 and the on the fly macro recording is awesome for that. General good keyboard extremely recommended, I got the ultimate due to the fact I required the back lighting, but if you can do with no go for the regular blackwidow you won't regret it!!! The palm rest is monster, I wish I could remove it, it just gets some getting employed to, it's a 1-of shape, the keys are raised a bit a lot more with this create layout due to the palm rest. It's wonderful, numerous levels of brightness on the back light, on-the-fly macro recording, headset audio ports correct on the keyboard (if you've got the needed audio ports on your mobo, it's fairly much an extension on the audio ports on your board... It also has an extra usb port)

I originally bought this because I had a HP keyboard for the past 5 years, and it just looked bad near my new 1.5k System. I gotta say it's REALLY sexy, and idk if it helped me get better in games, but i really love it.

Lately I've been undertaking additional and far more typing for class perform. I knew that the feel of a mechanical keyboard would be a boon though operating on papers, but I wasn't positive if my gaming would suffer. I am happy to report that the feel of the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate, for me, is excellent though gaming. Is the added cost for controllable LED backlighting worth the expense more than the regular Blackwidow? I'd say no. Also, the high gloss parts of the keyboard are dust magnets. Although it is an superb item, if I had to do it more than once more I would have ordered the regular Blackwidow. Occasionally much less is in fact far more.

I purchased this keyboard because I saw very good reviews for the Windows version. I game on both Macs and Windows computers and I thought that the keyboard might work the same with both OSes, the command key being used for the Windows key, and other simple key placement issues being resolved in software. That didn't happen. I tried to make it work with Windows but the backlight didn't work nor did any of the function keys. This is totally my fault, I am not dinging Razer for this as it is advertised as a Mac keyboard. It did work well on my Mac. I just wanted to write this in case any other folks wanted to buy this one to try to save a few bucks over the Windows version: don't do it, get the Windows version.

Mechanical important switches, blue back lighting. This keyboard is not only loud it is made by razer so just like all there other keyboards they quit working. I have had this keyboard for a couple days then i noticed that keys had currently stopped working. Are you serious razer? Only short keystrokes are needed for crucial activation.The N-important Rollover isn't a dilemma at all for gaming. When testing, the only important mixture on the left side of the keyboard I can not get is Z+X+Q. Been working with and typing on this razer ultimate all day and WOW just outstanding, the keys just pop and makes gaming even additional accurate. Extremely advised, search the net for greater value I got this for 1 bill. For this cost the colors really should be 60+ rather of just blue... But I like the vivid blue and it goes with my color scheme perfectly. I've been making use of Razer keyboard's for three years now, and they are good, I had the mirror edition lycosa prior to upgraded to this blackwidow ultimate, and there really is no comparison, once you try this keyboard it'll be challenging to ever go back.

Impressive keyboard. Functions very well as a mechanical keyboard, love the cherry mx blue switches, very glad to see that razer is finally producing a high-end keyboard with mechanical switches. Love the features that are available for this keyboard. I hate to see though that that the drivers for this keyboard are very confusing and are not user friendly, and also downloading from the website can cause some complications with the files. Personally, i had wished that the F1 key had been right above the 2 key. Since I play SC2, it is quite difficult to get used to reaching over between the 3 and 4 key to press F2 to return to where the camera was hot-keyed. If that is not an issue, I highly recommend this.

I replaced my G15 with this keyboard.It is a smaller keyboard. I love typing on this one. Though, when I play FPS, it seems too responsive. Spamming buttons on mech keyboard turns out to be bad..(You have to fully release the keys before pressing it again.. plus it loud :P)

Incredibly good keyboard overall and mechanical important actions are nice. Excellent beefy cord, really thick and nicely wrapped. I haven't tried the macros or the headphone/ microphone jacks. Feels Solid. I opened it, plugged it in and in the method of describing the lighting to my buddy i recognize the suitable shift backlight is burned out out of the box. Q.Q So i am going to have to e mail razer and see whats gonna be performed. Going from rubber dome to mechanical important is definitely a big adjust but I like it. This is by far the best keyboard i ever owned, I am a big gamer, and the macro keys come in real handy for myself. The looks are from my point of view very awesome.Cons: Well from my point of view, I'm still not completly used to it, so i keep hitting the macro keys on the side when i blindly reach for the ctrl or the esc keys. Super Tactile and auditory feedback. Lighting response time. Outstanding fit and finish.The keyboard feels/looks very huge, but its actually fairly common sized. Not much to say... I am extremely glad I bought it. Now I want 1 for function..... The "non main" characters such as those under the number keys are a dark grey and incredibly challenging see even in otherwise sufficient light. This is rather severe as I know the placement of common keys but have to hunt those pesky "off" characters like the ^ or #. I am also not a fan of the character style, its OK, but I would prefer a additional standard font. For the price ( approx ๠) this is a extremely great purchase, if it is what you are seeking for. I use to form on an old IBM mainframe, and I have often enjoyed the clicky keyboards.

-Mechanical keys-Adjustable, Backlit keys-Amazing, tactile clicky sounds-Excellent create top quality-Quite responsive in games -USB/audio ports are on the proper side where most folks have their mice-Weird fonts, but I got employed to it pretty swiftly-Shiny finish around the edges. It does collect fingerprints, but that's not a really massive deal to me. I do wish it was matte, though. -Secondary characters/symbols don't light up, but that's excellent if you game in a dark space-It's not THAT loud, but it does make some noise.
