RAZER Imperator Black Wired Laser Ergonomic Gaming Mouse
Comment:
This was a massive step up from my three-4 year old Razer Viper. This mouse is very ergonomic, a good comfort for every day use and of program gaming. Lately I have been playing Battlefield: Negative Organization two, when you're trying to pull off long distant sniper shots, just about every twitch of your wrist counts. And this mouse has it. The laser optic handles every small motion. I use a metal mouse pad and have NO trouble with it becoming unresponsive as I have read form other reviews. And of course the glowing lights are a good touch. If I were to nit-choose, I would say the only con is the Razer symbol on the mouse "breathes" (Razer's lingo, not mine), I wish there was a setting to hold it glowing solid vibrant. This is a massive a single, make positive to update the firmware, yes, this mouse has firmware updates, like an effin iPhone. Go to Razer's site and update the firmware and drivers. Mainly firmware mainly because it has a couple of fixes that are fairly critical.

They blatantly copied Logi, but that's a poor factor for me as I hate the really feel of Logi mice. I have this mouse and a Lycossa on a gaming rig display at my retailer so gamers can see how frustrating gaming is with ghosting, microstuttering, erratic sensor displacement and dropped commands(key/button presses). Imperator suffers from microstuttering and erratic sensor displacement. This is my second Imperator and each have had the similar problem; Makes it impossible to get headshots. Congratulations Razer, you have become the worst gaming kit to purchase! I'd rather game with a บ mouse and keyboard. As a guy with a big Razer tat on my forearm, I find it disturbing that Razer won't get back to me the identical month or exchange either mouse for a distinct 1. If you purchase a Razer product you are stuck with THAT precise razer item and a legacy of shipping fees to hold receiving defective kit.

Incredibly accurate tracking. Insanely high amount of DPI settings (use the UI, you've got anything from 1000-5600). 5 Sensitivity settings with the on the fly buttons. The lighting goes excellent with my set up. The adjustable side buttons assist a lot. 4000 DPI (what I presently use) feels ideal. Default DPI is 1800, which is a great starting point. The UI is sort of buggy (random crashes, doesn't always read the mouse). Haven't determined no matter whether that's my USB ports or the mouse itself, but I'm leaning toward the mouse itself.... That's it. Took 3min to set up. Today, I got my Razer Destructor mouse mat. Soon as I got this mouse off my old mousepad and onto the Destructor, the difference was beyond notable. You'd have to be near brain dead to not notice the difference. So, if you get this mouse, I strongly proposed the Razer Destructor to pair with it.Gave this five stars since, in my opinion, the UI getting buggy isn't anything to be concerned about. Also, this mouse doesn't seriously feel all that cheap or fragile. People ought to just be keeping too tight a grip on it.

-Good mouse on Windows -Lack of assistance for advertised attributes on Mac-Disregard for Mac clients in updates results in unusable mice with no firmware accessible on the web to revert to. I got this mouse as a replacement for my Mac DeathAdder which worked great gaming in OSX and in Windows with equal functionality.Out of the box setup went smoothly and I downloaded the newest (and only) driver from the here. Unfortunately the Mac driver has restricted functionality supplying settings only for sensitivity, acceleration and lighting. There is no assistance for profile configuration, macros, custom button/key binding, scrolling speed, click speed, profiles or any advanced capabilities that the DeathAdder drive had and I would count on to be carried forward on a mouse that expenses ๠ which claims to assistance OSX.I switched more than to Windows 7 to attempt to fully test the mouse out. Once again I went online and downloaded the most current (and only) driver for Windows and noticed there was a firmware update offered as nicely. I downloaded and installed each and was impressed by the attributes and performance of the mouse and software program.I switched back to OSX once again but located that the driver wou

Good design; extremely great-looking. Lighting is nice and tasteful.Wonderful software with a multitude of customization alternatives.A wide-array of DPI settings for various sorts of use.Super-responsive buttons and a good finish on the body of the mouse. This mouse give you excellent control. Largely, I would have liked it to be a bit bigger and heavier. I loved my Logitech MX1000 laser mouse for size and weight, and I would have liked this to be a bit closer, for my huge hands. The side buttons are in a strange position, regardless of the customization options. Razer could find out some thing from the Microsoft Sidewinder x8 in this category. A extremely solid, stylish gaming mouse. If it had been a bit heavier and perhaps slightly bigger, and with much better side buttons, I would assign it a great five eggs.Perhaps the best alternative for a excellent gaming mouse on the marketplace to date.

Excellent 'breathing' effect from the logo, uncomplicated-to-adjust dpi with the buttons on the top of the mouse, nice feel in the hand, threaded cable, and a great searching Razer mouse. I bought mine for ๠. Coming from a regular mouse to a gaming mouse, I was expecting far more of a difference, in particular taking into consideration the cost. The sides of the mouse are glossy and leave my thumb sliding, making me feel like I require to wipe off my thumb a lot. Throughout extended gaming sessions this can get quite annoying. The last mouse I had was a 1000dpi laser mouse, non-gaming. I located myself leaving the default setting for this mouse at 1000dpi and not needing to alter it, possibly out of habit. What is the point of having dpi adjusting buttons when you never ever strategy on utilizing it?

Comfy, smooth, a truly, Truly nice mouse.... but.... double clicks when I single click, double clicks when I hold down the mouse button, the tracking is Really picky on these. Apparently the double clicking thing is a frequent concern with razer mice. Wish I could give it 5 stars but I've currently began the RMA for it. Newegg's buyer service is completely fantastic. Ill be receiving a different mouse via them as soon as I get the refund.

One of the most correct mice I've ever owned. The accuracy and the added buttons are worth the price tag, especially if you're a gamer like myself. Had to buy a new 1 following my original died sometime final year, but hey it occurs. No cons for the current one though. Even if you don't plan to use this as a gaming mouse, its a excellent a single to obtain for almost everything from usual computing to operating on anything in Photoshop or AutoCAD.

Alright, so when i initial got this mouse i was experiencing hand cramps from my old mouse...as soon as i got this, the next day, these hand cramps were gone! I don't actually comprehend how thins could have happened, but this mouse is actually comfy to use, and is by far the greatest one particular i have ever applied (granted i haven't employed that several very good mice lol). Tracking is excellent, and it just feels fantastic. Mouse feels virtually fragile at instances... the bottom plastic pops in and out producing a disgusting noise. As other people have said, this is a bit light for my tastes, adding to the fragile feeling. When I spend so a lot for a product I anticipate develop top quality to be up as high as all other aspects, so minus a single egg.Plus, the plastic sides are quite annoying, but my hands don't sweat a lot so it's okay. More than all It's a excellent mouse. I'm actually not liking the create good quality feeling, but the rest of the mouse makes up for it and so I give it four eggs.Would I recommend it to a person else? Yes, but I would suggest to be cautious with it, as you truly need to be with all computer elements.

Have been employing it for about a solid 1-2 weeks daily for various hours at a time. Certainly comfy and suitable replacement for my old mouse (Microstoft IntelliMouse Explorer three.). Really ergonomic and clicks feel good. Adjustable thumb buttons are a plus given that i hold the mouse farther back where my middle fingertip is just barely over the scroll wheel. Cord doesn't snag or tangle on points like my old mouse and pads are fery smooth. Not a whole lot of buttons which is a plus (actually exact same as my old one particular). It's a tiny bit shorter than the Intellimouse which is a plus for me because I hold the mouse with my fingertips. (actually thought of the Orochi for my Pc but the ambidextous style kept me from obtaining it).I've in no way had any Razer merchandise prior to, but this mouse is incredibly comfy and the sensitivity is to my liking None genuinely so far, I was just seeking for a excellent dependable, and confortable mouse to replace my trusty old IntelliMouse three. which has finally began to show its age right after a solid eight yrs of use.. it was in fact dragging due to the fact the feet/pads wore out entirely. It'll be far more of a test of time but I'll stick with a 5 rating unless it dies on me with less than two yrs of use.I can see how the glossy sides could potentially be a downside for gamers with clammy hands, even though I haven't had any concerns with some gaming (I'm not anywhere at a Pro level gamer, just casual). My old intellimouse had a rubberized grip on the sides which sooner or later wore, so we'll see how this a single holds up given that the complete mouse (except the sides) are rubberized or have a matte finish to it. Not a big fan of vibrant and crazy LED lighting, but it's not vivid adequate to be obstructive so I'll let it slide :) For someone new to Razer items like myself, installation was somewhat cumbersome. Installation in the manual was vague at finest on instructing how to install/update driver (mouse will be unoperative throughout update as mentioned by other people)Recommend making use of a good mouse pad/mat, as the low-cost mousepad with wrist rest I utilised on the Intellimouse tripped out the laser on the Razer (currently working with it on a bare plastic surface which it works suprisingly nicely on)Appears to be a fair bit sensitive on tracking if the mouse is set down at a slight angle to the surface. Not a difficulty if you pick up the mouse and set it down pretty straight (never had this issue with the other mouse). So far it hasn't been bothering me enough to think about it a con even though.

Feels nice and a smooth mouse, incredibly fast to respond. The cord is not wrapped in a smooth plastic so it causes friction with the back of my desk and lead to the mouse to jump a small. The two side buttons feel kinda inexpensive.

There are far better RAZERS. Diamondback 3G/Diamondback non-3G are the only mouse’s you need to have. Razer stopped making the Greatest mouse ever. You can still find it in short provide on the internet, why they did this is any body’s guess. A prior reviewer said, move the mouse 1 way, cursor moves the other. That is a quite old issue developed by Razers and I'm not seriously surprised to hear about it that a lot. The older Razers are way superior. Manufacturer Response:Wow, If your moving your mouse left and the cursor goes appropriate, there is naturally some thing not correct there. Could I recommend you make contact with the Razer Support Team at www.razersupport.com/email and we will be pleased to aid assist you. Some users could prefer the ambidextrous shape of the older Diamondback mice. For those shoppers we also offer you the Razer Abyssus and Razer Lachesis and those are obtainable correct on here on Newegg. ?Razer|Wave

Multiple DPI Settings 200-5600DpiTracks good (Im utilizing Razer's Control Fragged Edition Mat pad) So i would suggest acquiring a good mat pad to get positive outcomes. Wired(braided) = no lag which you can get from wireless mice.(or at least which i was acquiring)Good stylePrime surface feels good top quality feel to it. - Just a handful of complaints--->- Produced of plastic surface exactly where the thumb goes...could cause thumb to sweat... it would of been good if it could of been like the Logitech mouse b/c it has some sort of rubber kind surface but the Imperator is just straight shiny plastic finish.- When i grasp the mouse their is no room for my pinky where it can be placed which is in a awkward position... nevertheless i dont notice it when im playing. Okay, so this is my really initial official Gaming mouse Ive ever had. I just moved from a Logitech M305 to this. I dont truly do hardcore gaming on the Computer Im a console gamer all the way *Xbox 360* on the other hand considering that Starcraft II is just so amazing I need a superior mouse. Let me start by saying it was a extremely big jump from the mouse that i had the DPI settings are actually insane you can alter five settings in the Razer software package, mine is set at at the moment at 1800dpi i may bump it a small but Ive tinkered/played a bit and when its at max 5600dpi with the slightest movement of the mouse the cursor moves particularly rapid as hell!!! I can see why men and women say on other testimonials it might be too substantially for the typical player.Overall im extremely satisfied with my acquire I was debating receiving this or the Logitech G500. But a single day when i came to newegg's site this mouse was on Shell Shocker Sale for โ so with no hesitation i purchased it.

Nothing that seriously sets it apart from any other mouse at the exact same price or more affordable.-The blue lights are cool, I guess.-The mouse driver interface is uncomplicated to use/understand.-Neat packaging. Where to begin?-Z-axis problem exactly where pointer drops down and to the appropriate when you pick up the mouse. (Even with 1.13 Firmware.)-From time to time an axis will quit working when you move the mouse swiftly. (I.e. rocket jumping in QuakeLive may well cause the X/Y-axis to cease working for a brief half second.)-Thumb region makes my thumb feel like it's sweating when it isn't.-The shape of the mouse makes my "ring" finger and pinky sore from extended use. (Previous mouse was a G5.)-Too light in weight for my taste. (Had each weight in slot in my old G5.)The initial two difficulties were noticeable nearly instantly, and are enough for me to want to return the mouse already. My second G5 died due to the cord wearing out. It was already a replacement for my very first, so I can't get it replaced. (They don't even make them anymore.) I decided to attempt a Razer mouse, given that my last three Logitech mice have died at precisely a year. I bought a Razer Imperator, since it sounded greater/newer than a Deathadder and it was on sale. (ฟ off, so only ŭ additional than a DA). I decided to replace my mousepad at the very same time, because the surface of my fUnc 1050 was wearing out. So I bought a Razer Destructor pad as nicely.Following about ten minutes of QuakeLive, I knew the mouse was poor. I tried altering the DPI settings, the polling settings, and so on. I tried the new firmware 1.13, which lists fixing the "lift up" concern. It doesn't.Only now have I observed the Youtube videos describing the issues this mouse has. If only I had researched additional, I could have avoided wasting income on this inferior product. I'm going to give a go for a week, but I can tell already I want to RMA.

Rapidly, responsive and comfy! My OS of choice is Mac OS 10.6 (hackintosh). For some reason when the polling rate is set to anything above 150 Hz adds incredibly jerky window drags and loss of precision. The only resolution seems to use the lowest polling rate. This does not occur in Windows and appears to be an OS problem. I wish Apple would address prosumer concerns like this. A small light. Wish it was a bit heavier.

Has a very good really feel to it. Programming is quite effortless. Had it for just over a week and the correct mouse button became soft and incredibly sensitive to where I would rest my hand on the mouse and it would continually suitable click. The button then became stuck and I tried to totally free the button and two pieces of plastic came out. I took it apart and the suitable mouse button seemed to have some broken parts. Incredibly disappointed. This is the second Razer gaming mouse I've purchased and I'm not obtaining one more Razer mouse once more, ever. I bought it at Best Purchase after my Copperhead mouse failed and I wish I purchased it from Newegg.

The Imperator is a satisfactory mouse. It does what it claims to do. I do not believe that the actual item warrants the heavy price tag. Contemplating a logitech MX518 can be had for significantly cheaper and preform just as nicely. Razer ought to generate mice in colors besides just blue. Not every person desires blue(I prefer green). The razer copperhead is their only product that has other led colors.

The shape of this mouse is totally great. Its technical specs are impressive indeed, but the most vital aspects here are the ergonomic shape, the light weight, the bevel on the suitable side so its easy to choose it up and reposition, the customizable thumb button positioning, and last but not least the flawless tracking on any surface I've thrown at it. (including my new Megasoma pad) Also Razer did the front feet differently on this mouse, so its tougher to inadvertently make this 1 lean to one side or the other, which was a huge problem for me with their other mice. Razer has fully outdone themselves here. I assume it wouldve been a nice touch to see a LED readout someplace to indicate which DPI preset is at present enabled. (like on the Logitech mice) I have used many unique "gaming" mice, most of which I had problems with. I recommend that you take a very good look at how you use your mouse before acquiring anything. For example, I identified that I pick up the mouse at least when each ten seconds throughout gaming. Its a tendency, proper or incorrect, but with out the bevel/shelf on the proper side of the mouse, my hand hurts badly from having to sqeeze the mouse tougher to pick it up so typically. With the Imperator, I can play all day with no complications due to its shape and light weight design. On a side note, the firmware and driver updates are quite uncomplicated to accomplish. It does, however, require you to know incredibly standard O/S navigation methods making use of only your keyboard, which ought to not be a dilemma for most gamers out there.

Exceptional mouse - fits my hand perfectly and I haven't had a single problem with it. Drivers function fine from Razer's site and the software to manage dpi, etc, isn't negative at all, a lot cleaner than the Lachesis computer software I was making use of just before. If your asking yourself no matter if its worth the extra 20-30 bucks for a premium mouse, I'd suggest seeking into gettin the Imp. Nothin I got my Imperator with a Razer Destructor mouse pad ( combo deal) and I've got completely no regrets. The mouse pad works excellent with this mouse - quite clean, not too small, and has an exceptional really feel. I would highly recommend obtaining the combo.

Wasn't too confident about side buttons, but they are definitely good. Really high DPI, incredibly smooth with the destructor. Overall incredibly agile mouse that can do it all. Definate winner Macro editor leaves something to be desired. Not as straightforward as MS Intellimouse macro editor, and quite restricted capacity. but overall, nonetheless a great purchase Took a couple of days to get applied too switching from intellimouse optical (I know, Quite dated tech). But following a couple of days, the shape feels perfectly natural and with the side buttons adjusted, this mouse is all but great. Wish I could give a four.five

Personally, the texture of the mouse feels good, but as far as pros go that's about it aside from the aesthetics. It feels low cost, lightweight plastic, as it might break if I accidentally dropped it. The DPI setting goes from slow, to not fast sufficient, to okay that's extremely to rapid now, where's the one setting prior to this one. I'l barely move the mouse and it rips across my 24" widescreen like absolutely nothing. This mouse is geared towards gaming and that is what I bought it for and I'm truly disappointed. My older mouse to me felt solid, I've dropped it a couple of times and no concerns, it's weighted as well.

feels superior in my hand, adjustable buttons, nice cord, nice cord length, moves well Right after a month and a half, it stopped operating. I got up to get a glass of water, and when I came back the left/right buttons would work, but that was it.Moving it about just wouldn't function. Wouldn't work on other computers, and other mice work on mine so... :( I had really liked it, but this is just stupid. The reason I got this mouse was mainly because my 3 year old copperhead started to trigger all sorts of issues with flash (crazy sounding, I know). So, I figure, that mouse is old, lets get this new version, but now... perhaps I really should just get a logitec hone...

The adjustment switch for the side buttons makes it really feel like its created for your hand, good lighting, like the high dpi. As stated in previous posts, the mouse randomly dies every single couple of weeks and i will need to either unplug it or restart for it to work once more. Coming from the deathadder, it's a bit smaller which I don't genuinely like. I can see it becoming best for people today with smaller hands if it didn't randomly die just about every couple weeks. Even although it doesn't die that typically it's actually annoying when your in the middle of a game and you need to get up to replug it in. If only they copied the deathadder develop with this mouses attributes (the non buggy ones) razor would have the top mouse on the industry...
