RAZER Imperator Black Wired Laser Ergonomic Gaming Mouse
Comment:
I previously owned a Logitech MX518 for a couple of years, and I wanted to upgrade to a Razer mouse. I liked the specs, performance, and looks of their mouses, but I didn't like their uncomfortable form. The Imperator offers the similar form as the MX518 (which I loved) with superior efficiency. I play a lot of FPS (MW2 lately) and this has helped out my gameplay very a lot.-Good lengthy braided cable-Gold USB connector-Quite responsive and accurate-Fits my hand excellent-Adjustable side buttons-Razer computer software is amazing None. Can't wait to use my Razer Goliathus pad with this. :D

The mouse is quick, smooth, and sexy. Wont constantly work on loading to windows G3.five Lazar on this mouse is directed by 2 mini balls on the bottom that for some reason locks up from time to time. cant play Starcraft 2 with this mouse at all. Errors as soon as ever two minuets or so drivers not as very good as the item on 64 bit systems. It must be very good mouse but its just buggy, I really like razor but this mouse makes me cry.mouse Ped me off so I threw it at the Wall! its broken now.

Wonderful style overall, superior to hold and click with When you move too rapidly, the tracking will failWhen you click while moving too fast, it will worsenIf you lift the mouse, even with the new drivers and new firmware, you will get some little bits of tracking problemMouse breaks easily by way of "normal/average" use If it tracked nicely, then this would be an amazing mouse, but because of its tracking concerns, its truly utter trash for any individual who isn't casual at games.

Looks nice...quite nice. Felt fine for the most part. Difficult to explain, but the click on one thing in no way felt right. The cursor would slight move down as you clicked, creating precision stuff complicated. I lived with that.45 days after I purchased it, I am tanking for an AION group. Mouse decides it is performed responding. Can't get cursor to macros, just won't move to where I direct it.Basically...it died on me. Of course it was past the 30-day Newegg RMA. I have generally had Logitech mice. I decided to attempt some thing unique for a alter. I read evaluations that said Razer goods don't hold up, but I wanted to see for myself. Now I know...๖ wasted. :(

RAZER Imperator Black Wired Laser Ergonomic Gaming Mouse
Comment:
Ergonomics are decent, for my hand (medium+ size).Clicking and scrolling the wheel is smooth and precise. Sensitivity control buttons are effortless to hit by accidentSensitivity settings are too coarse, finer adjustment would be nice. The get in touch with surface (teflon? pads at the bottom) wears quick and unevenly. It has trouble tracking the motion precisely on the Razer's *own* eXactMat mousepad. On the smooth side the motion is jerky and occasionally doesn't respond to any movement at all. This is not an problem on the coarse side of the identical pad, but the coarse side is noisy and calls for additional force to operate. I've had the MS Habu (made by Razer) for a lot of years, and that's why I bought the Imperator. Having employed Imperator for 1.5 years, I can say that it doesn't even come near Habu in dependability. This is surprising considering that it's nearly 2x the price. I'll most likely by one more Habu soon, since Imperator will be dead soon.

Cons: Expensive for what you getGlossy surface on the side (thumb)No special feature

Pros: Feels great in handComfortable after hours of useStylish/discrete lightAdjustable thumb buttoms
Comment:
This is one great mouse I got to replace my Logitech G5. I got the same -or even better- comfort from a gaming mouse. It is accurate for both everyday use and gaming. The glowing light is a nice addition that is not too distracting. However, the glossy side is something that can get annoying because it can accumulate a bit of sweat over time. It's not a big problem though. I did not experience any problem lifting the mouse although with a large mousepad, I usually don't need to do so.Overall this is a great product. It's a bit expensive for what you get since there's no special feature (extra button, DPI display, weight adjustment, etc.) but it's still a great purchase!

RAZER Imperator Black Wired Laser Ergonomic Gaming Mouse
Cons: some macros don't work wellDPI over 3000+ hard to use

Pros: comfortable ergonomicswell built
Comment:
I'll have to chime in to all the people badmouthing this mouse. In reality, it's not BAD, but it's not AMAZING either. I don't have any problems with lift-off, tracking, etc. The mouse fits very well for me. I have small hands and use a palm grip. I don't have sweat problems so I prefer the slick sides as opposed to a completely rubberized mouse.I do have a problem with the "Close Windows" macro. I had the same thing on my Habu and it worked perfectly. The included macro on the Imperator's software has a problem when you use it. It would act as if the left ALT key was stuck after you press the button. Very frustrating when trying to click things afterwards and I thought my computer had contracted a virus or something :PIn any case, I do believe that some of you are having major issues with this mouse and I am losing a bit of faith in Razer's quality control as it seems not all their products come out of the box working perfectly. I have had issues with their products before but once you get a working version, it works well and as designed.Overall, it's quite a solid mouse, but I regret not going for the Mamba for a little bit more.

RAZER Imperator Black Wired Laser Ergonomic Gaming Mouse
Cons: The DPI stuff is really over-rated, I had to downgrade mine to 800-1200 to get anything useful in FPS games. It shoots across the screen like a bullet after 2000DPI

Pros: Feels great, I don't get tired from using this for hours.
Comment:
This mouse is good for the ergonomic design and well, the fact that its Razer. Lol. The DPI on the other hand is seriously overkill. I have to say, 5600DPI is hardly ever used, if ever in FPS. Unless you're a robot, you might wanna use that. It'll just fly across the screen. Any slight movement and it moves like 500 pixels across the screen. I could see it becoming useful once the resolution of monitors hit like 7680x4320. Till then, its useless. I seriously feel like I bought this mouse just cause its Razer and there's glowing blue lights on it.

RAZER Imperator Black Wired Laser Ergonomic Gaming Mouse
Cons: I will never remember this mouse has 7 buttons. Button 6 and 7 are in an awkward ergonomic position thus I don't use them. The sensor used (Phillips twin eye) is different from the death adder and I've learned it has a host of bugs known for this sensor. The mouse will move diagonally when you pick it up and put it back down again. Sometimes after repositioning the mouse one of the mouse directions will not work for a split second. Laser sensors still have some annoying issues tracking on certain surfaces, especially cloth(Razer Goliath.) ON TOP OF THAT this mouse also stops working randomly which is really grinding my gears and has finally prodded me into writing my first review on this website as I feel people need to know about these bugs and make a more educated purchase decision than I did.

Pros: Ergonomic shape fits your hand nicely. (This is left up to personal opinion, I prefer the death adders shape still.) Adjustable side button position does work well at fitting your thumb.
Comment:
This mouse stops working randomly and believe me if this was to happen during a serious moment of gaming (hardmode dungeon in an MMO or a clan match in an FPS) no one is going to be happy about it. I think that repurchasing another death adder would have served me better, as the only reason I bought this mouse was because my death adder was dead from poor care and it was the newer release.

RAZER Imperator Black Wired Laser Ergonomic Gaming Mouse
Cons: Bottom had some edges which were not smooth and were hitting the mouse pad. After about an hour use this went away.

Pros: Amazing TrackingCool GlowVery Comfortable
Comment:
First I just want to say I do not understand why so many people are having problems with this mouse. I can lift the mouse off the mouse pad, flip it all over etc and the mouse on my comp stays where it last was. When I put it back down it resumes like normal. It doesn't jump all over etc. I suggest you get the firmware upgrade at Razers site as it does fix a few problems. Over all, this is a super cool and very comfortable mouse. The high dpi I find is useless for me as I keep it at 2500 with 1000hz polling even with my 1080p 24 inch monitor. Braided cable is nice improvement from previous razer mice I have owned as well as the movable side buttons.

RAZER Imperator Black Wired Laser Ergonomic Gaming Mouse
Cons: -Not consistent!-Tracking cuts in and out!-Known z-axis lift off bug... (lift the mouse and the cursor moves down and right everytime)

Pros: -Feels nice in my hand.-Glides smoothly on the pad. ... BUT...
Comment:
If you are looking for a serious FPS gaming mouse... DO-NOT BUY THIS MOUSE! If you want a Razer, buy the Deathadder. It would have been perfect, if only they could have put an infrared sensor from the old Deathadder 3G (1800DPI), or the new 3.5G (3500DPI).The mouse feels comfortable in my hand and glides very smoothly on the mousepad. When the thing does properly track you can get off some nice accurate shots...BUT...The tracking just randomly cuts in and out. For example I'll be moving the mouse swiping across the pad to turn and shoot a guy behind me, and occasionally (not every time, but way too often) for a split second I'll stop turning...Unacceptable... Rather terrible in an $80+ mouse to be honest. As well as the known z-axis lift off bug that's built into the thing (when you lift up the mouse the cursor ALWAYS moves down and to the right). In FPS games you are constantly swiping/lifting/replacing your mouse on the pad. This hardware glitch gets irritating.Sorry for the negative review guys .. but this mouse is not the best choice for FPS gaming. I would suggest looking at the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 (Optical), Deathadder 3.5G (Infrared Optical), Logitech MX518 (Optical), Steelseries Xai (Laser).

RAZER Imperator Black Wired Laser Ergonomic Gaming Mouse
Cons: The scroll button uses black stickers to block out the LED light, these stickers overtime lose their glue due to the heat and start peeling off. This eventually makes the mouse button get stuck and un-scrollable.The mouse jumps 150 pixels every time you lift it, not a big deal, but can be annoying sometimes.

Pros: A very comfortable mouse--- one of the most comfortable mice I have seen in the market ever. The customization of the side buttons certainly help.
Comment:
With such a great feel on this mouse, and sharp looks, its unfortunate it gets plagued with un-desirable problems. I replaced by mouse with a Logitech mouse again, and will never go back to Razer with these issues, whether it is with this product only, or all Razer products.

Cons:price, firmware

Pros:Comfortable, responsive, stylish and quality
Comment:
The good:Lets start off by saying this is the most stylish mouse i have ever used, The scroll wheel lights are amazing. its fits perfectly into your hand, the mouse is just the right size. It is very responsive the slightest vibration on your table will move the cursuor. The bad:the price is pretty high for a mouse. i got mine for 70$ on sale on this site. the firmware updating is a pain, becuase it isnt very user friendly.the movable side buttons arent anything to get excited about. its confortable no matter where u move it to. Cons:*Z-Tilt issue: mouse jumps down and right 150 pixels any time you pick up the mouse.*Froze once ingame, had to reconnect mouse to get it moving again. This happens on all razer mice for some reason.

Pros:Feels awesome in your hand
Comment:
Overpriced and no fix in sight from razer for anyone who lifts the mouse. Wish I knew this before I bought it, here I am with a brick.

Cons:No way to know what DPI setting is at on the fly.

Pros:DPI on the fly switching. ComfortableLooks great !Long cordSlide buttons
Comment:
Replaced an aging wireless Logitech Mx, I noticed that FPS games are better with a higher DPI I think my old mouse had a max of 1600. I'm using it at 2000 for now. So far it's been great. The slide buttons on the side are a nice feature as well.

RAZER Imperator Black Wired Laser Ergonomic Gaming Mouse
Cons:My package was missing a driver CD, not sure if that is normal or if it was just my box. It is only a bad thing if you need customization and you have no internet. DPI switching still works without drivers installed.Other than that, I can not find fault with this mouse!!!

Pros:Comfortable...on all hand sizes!Very accurate and has a really good feel when using.DPI switch does not lag when switching "on the fly". Custom DPI on the fly settings!Looks amazing!Nylon covered cord...does not snag, or get wrecked easy.
Comment:
This mouse is simply amazing. I just decommissioned my DeathAddar simply because I have a smaller hand and although being an amazing and comfortable mouse, the adjustable thumb buttons looked appealing to me. Well, they are nice, but that is not what really impressed me with this mouse. Originally I started gaming with a Logitech MX-510. That mouse was good in its day, but it was very low DPI, so on the new widescreens it took forever to go across it lol. The sensor was not that accurate, so Razer really takes the trophy for that. This mouse is similar in shape, but more refined to be ergonomic, and more accommodating to both small and large hands. All hand sizes, well done Razer! The DPI switch is very fast and does not lag for a moment like most mice, so when playing FPS games, you can literally switch on the fly for those times you want the lower DPI for those long sniper shots. This mouse simply rocks! I could to on about it, but let someone else decide. So its basically a refined Logitech MX510 with a Razer sensor, how much better can that be? (assuming you like that mouse haha)
