Best NIC card, came with further heat sink which was optional set up. Massive improvement after I setup my HTPC on gigabit. I can now seriously shoot information across the network in a fraction of the time and it makes my function network really feel like turtle speed. Dropped my backup instances and makes my HDHomerun perform best, you can fastforward from any Computer at the maxium doable speed just like your at the major HTPC/ DVR. None An additional great Rosewill product at an superb value point.

incredibly rapid when large or jumbo frames are enabled restricted to 7k jumbo frames, 9k would have been nicer for anywhere close to this price tag, i dont belive you can beat the overall performance this card can give.

It operates as a gigabit NIC and it was affordable. Just required this last nic to make my household network all GIG and it fits in beautifully. The led's don't light as the flyer in the box says. It says there's a blue LED for complete duplex but no dice. I know my switch supports it and the card is even configured to run on 1000 Complete Duplex. I got the latest driver from the site also but thats just a smaller hiccup, nothing stopping the card from undertaking its job.

Functions with older AMD 754 MB & Fedora FC7 without requiring updates. None Utilizing in MythTV Frontend/Slave Backend with older MB in order to upgrade integrated ten럼 to 1Gbps immediately after upgrading switch to 1Gbps. Speaking fine to Master Backend which has integrated 1Gbps.FE/SBE: DFI NF3-250-AL w/ Sempron 3100+ Soc 754MBE: GByte GA-M51GM-S2G w/ 64 X2 4200+ Soc AM2

Extremely low cost Gigabit remedy- functions as advertised....super low value...ŭ! you have to attach the heatsink yourself- comes with directions stating that the chip will operate without having the heatsink but it is highly recommended that you place it on...strange.....but Great for five bucks!

it does function. xp home, followed directions (i think, sorry been awhile) i remember, with the disc inside and soon after a restart, xp home picked up the new device and automatically and appropriately installed. requires awhile to establish stable connection with router> then web. prolly about a minute or two, perhaps five. i just turn on my laptop then do some thing else ahead of going on-line. when it does establish, anything is normal. i dont notive any speed difference than without this card. not instant. for some reason if your onboard ethernet connection dies out and you cant find a solution, this may possibly be an "okay" substitute.

Rosewill RC-400 PCI Gigabit Ethernet Card
Comment:
When it functions, it functions. I have been pulling my hair on this: one particular of my systems has a 50ft Cat6 cable connected to a Gigabit switch. I could not get additional than 3MB/sec out of this thing. I ran other Cat6 cables, swapped cards (got three of these) and ultimately plugged in a laptop with an Intel gigabit speed LAN adapter to see if it's an concern with the cards. The laptop with the Intel adapter is screaming quickly so I am concluding this card can\'t run properly across lengthy wires. I have a HomeServer with the same Rosewill RC-400 cards that sits next to the switch and that has no concerns. So it IS a cable length challenge with the RC-400 (tried three of these). That's is rather terrible :-(. I will purchase Intel from right here on. Spending 贄's on agony and time investigating is not worth it. For important technique components I will get high finish brand names from now on. I have Rosewill cables too. Makes me wonder...

place it in an old asrock board with xp2500 proc. working with windows 7... windows found the driver instantly, connected to my network at 1gb. and performs very extremely nicely! i believe it's silly to have to attach the heatsink oneself... but it only takes a second! very nice card so far for the price! I am content with the purchase!

Not a lot to say, but it performs fine. Considerably more quickly than my ten럼 nic it replaced. I was carrying out large backups to WHS, and factors are going substantially more rapidly now. Had a low profile bracket which is why I went with this NIC. Jumbo Packet assistance I hear is lacking, but not a major deal in my environment. It might not be the greatest NIC for everybody, but it is a lot faster than 10럼 when transferring large amounts of information.

it worked, no drivers to install, home server installed it fine.. speed was ok. none for the price. according to the piece of paper it came with the heatsink was optional, it was low-cost hunting and not a clean cut from the saw, but i place it on anyway.. i managed to copy some files at about 45-55 megs on gigabyte lan

I installed a batch of these in several computers around the office. There haven't been any complications and they are noticeably more quickly than dealing with the old ten럼 cards. None truly. Reasonable price tag & free of charge shipping makes a great combination as well.
