uninstall the on-board NIC in device manager / XP, shut down the Computer, stick the card in the PCI slot, turn it back on, disable the network card in the bios, continue booting and XP did the rest of the function. Now I have none of the problems and the web pages even load quicker! truly I would have paid a small much more for this

Plug in and go. No drivers to install! Functions on a dual boot program with Windows XP Pro x64 and Vista Ultimate x64. Not a darn factor. Rosewill tends to make a lot of excellent reasonably priced products that definitely are much better then the household name corporations.

Dirt low-cost. Installed in my file server and Debian detected and installed it with minimal hassle. Works fine for my desires. Create top quality is a small iffy. The capacitors are all mounted crooked and I could picture some coming off in shipping. Also, the shrink wrap on the box is incredibly electrostatically charged and it would be incredibly easy for a person to trigger ESD on accident. I suspect those two things are responsible for most of the DOAs with this card because there isn't considerably else to go incorrect. It's difficult to beat this price for a basic functionality NIC.

When it was able to keep a connection the card worked acceptably. It's cheap. It dropped my wireless connection constantly. I in no way had a lot more the one hour of uninterrupted service. I employed each the included wireless manager and Windows wireless manager; each made comparable outcomes. This leads me to the conclusion that the difficulty was not software, but hardware, based.Even though the card claims to be capable of supporting 10럼 Mbps I come across this very tough to think. I was in no way in a position to attain speeds of more than five Mbps at any time (it often dropped below three). The card was surely the issue right here as the two other wireless cards I've employed with the similar service have each reached or exceeded the guaranteed connection speeds. Pony up a few added dollars and purchase a larger top quality card. In this scenario you undoubtedly get what you spend for.

Operates fantastic. Great selection for acquiring back on line if your MOBO acts up and suddenly the on-board LAN doesn't operate. For the price tag it's so easy you can't go wrong. None Worth the price. Roseville stands by their products and is the only 1 that I ever see that really reads the evaluations on the internet site. Purchasing their solutions from New Egg is a winning mixture.

Purchased this NIC card to replace the motherboard's on-board Ethernet port which decided to commit suicide randomly one day. Following employing this card for a couple of months I would have to say I am glad the on-board port fried. Network efficiency has been high and stable ever since this card was installed. n/a Make confident you purchase the card with the right case mount. I have a complete tower case and accidentally bought the mini case version of this card. So i had to cannibalize an old NIC to get a mount that match my case. Also as other people have stated I suggest downloading the drivers for this NIC from the Manufacturers site

Little D.O.A I purchased this to replace a dead onboard. I purchased this specific card for three reasons; geat reviews, vista compatable, and plug and play. Right after I installed the card on initial boot I disabled the onboard NIC. Once windows loaded, it discovered the card, but not any drivers. I then tried to load the drivers from Realtek's website (which by the way, the link in the manual is non existant). Once the driver loaded it mentioned my hardware was installed as normal. I plug in the ethernet cable and it attempts to connect to my network, gets as far as identifing and begins all over again. I attempted to let windows repair my issue and it tells me to plug in my ethernet cable. The lite on the card lites up when I plug the wire in. I tried the wire that is presently being applied on the computer system I'm making use of now, with the same outcome. I have built and repaired quite a few computer systems, and this is the first component I have ever purchased that hasn't worked. I usually read of it happening, I guess this time I just drew the short straw.

Didn't need to install any drivers manually. Windows 7 had anything it required. At the value I paid, I truly can't fault the card. I purchased this card for my mom to replace an aging 3Com card that was made back in the 90's. Considering that installation, I have but to have any matters with the card. If you're seeking for a fantastic ten럼 card at a very good price tag, this is surely what you're seeking for.

Cheap, Extremely compatible realtek chipset (drivers currently exist on a number of OS's). None Great for workstations and house computing. I will admit if I had been making a high performance or high availability machine I'd go with one thing with a better reputation. For most use however, this can't be beat.

Functions with pfSense reside CD Haven't utilized 'em extended enough to estimate reliability I necessary a couple of low-cost NICs to evaluate dedicated firewall distributions. Happy to say that these Rosewill NICs perform fine with pfSense, must mean that they'd perform with m0n0wall as well. Copied a largish video file by means of the card but did not test throughput against other NICs.

Easy to install- just energy down, unpug, open the case, install card, re-assemble and boot up.Win 7 recognises the card and installs and configures the drivers automatically, then asks for a reboot, soon after that, it 'just functions'.With GNU/Linux (presently Kubuntu 9.10), it 'just functions'. None so far, about a month and a half in service. I dual-boot Windows for a few games, and Linux for every little thing else. I had anOLD Netgear FA310-TX in the Pc with XP Pro SP2, and Kubuntu 9.04 and no problems.I decided to upgrade XP to Win 7 Enterprise, and no help for the old NIC!?!?! It nonetheless worked with Kubuntu 9.ten even though. So I got this card just to operate with Win 7, and it also functions smoothly with Linux. :-)

So far so very good. No complications at all. Installed suitable away without having any concern on Windows 7 64-bit. Very good product for the cost No difficulties so far. Nicely, perhaps not the most high efficiency network card on the marketplace, but honestly most persons just running a common house cable or DSL world wide web service, won't need something a lot more powerful then this. It connects and stays connected, and that's what matters.

Uncomplicated to install in Pc. Quick and functions nicely. Did not automatically load driver when installing with Windows ME as indicated in the directions. Had to search for driver on ME installation CD and copy to 3 1ǘ diskette and install driver from the diskette as would not load driver from the ME installation CD. Good value.
