Functions perfectly proper out of the box, no drivers or cd's necessary. Just plug into your laptop and you're excellent to go None I identified it funny that the only factor that came in the box was the card itself and a tiny slip of folded paper givin the particulars on the card.Although i really love that no drivers are needed, it saves a lot of perform

I installed it and it worked with a small setup. Also it is really little and comes with a smaller half size pci slot mounter. none I installed fedora 13 x86_64 and my present integrated card was not compatible with the linux 2.6 kernel so i purchased this 1. The drivers didn't work instantly here is the commands to get it to perform for the linux two.6 kernel.$ su -# ifconfig eth0(depends on which it is) down# rmmod 8139too# insmod 8139too mediaɢx01insmod: can't read 񡌻too': No such file or directory# find 8139too# insmod /lib/modulesǘ.6.9-1.667/kernel/drivers/net񴮻too.ko(output from find) mediaɢx01

Card worked good right after some bugs had been worked out on my pc. No damage to card on delivery, etc. All parts had been in box. I had to download some drivers from an additional net internet site other than the 1 that was indicated in the instruction booklet that came with the card. It would have been nice to have the drivers for the windows 98 initially edition operating system.

None Do not acquire this. Was DOA and from what I hear, the majority of these are DOA. I've lost confidence in Rosewill over the past few years. I just had a 550w Rosewill powersupply die after three months of use, the powersupplies that come in Rosewill cases die soon after 1 year, Rosewill network cards have a high failure rate, and so on... I guess you get what you pay for.

It functions in a ten year old Micron pc operating Windows 98 SE. It works; if it hadn't, I could have asked for a new laptop or computer.

This is an great NIC. The original onboard network card on my desktop/home server took a you know what and so I was in an immediate will need of a replacement. Newegg shipped out the item the identical day, and I received it the subsequent (thanks Newegg). I had a GA311 from Netgear that I was using wasn't supported at all by CentOS five.five (Linux 2.6), so if you plan on making use of that NIC for Linux, great luck getting drivers that truly perform.Absolutely nothing considerably else I can say about the card, it does its job. It was plug and play in Linux, and now its being utilised with Windows 7 when the computer system took the role of a desktop lately. None

Excellent compatibility. Functions perfectly. None This card functions perfectly with WinXP64. I purchase a renowned brand-name card from a box store, and it neither worked, nor did the firm have any intention of making it work. This was a third the cost, and functions perfectly, as well as under Linux. Go Newegg!

It functions with Windows 7 64 bit. Windows found a driver for it, but Windows was also corrupted, reformat and now every little thing operates. Really straightforward, operates out of the box, superior deal if your seeking for a replacement NIC card.

Worked perfectly on Ubuntu, DSL, Win XP and Win 2k, between two computers. Didn't need the driver disk on any system. None. Every little thing I asked for. Bought specifically due to the fact it advertised linux assistance. I have a couple of network cards that I couldn't get running simply. Eventually ended up utilizing the win2k anyway, but I prefer hardware with maximal compatibility.

Inexpensive. Really was VISTA-ready, just install the card and it worked after energy up. Constantly a good day when things work as advertised. None. I dont know if it was VISTA or my mobo, but my on-board LAN ethernet was flaky, right after each and every reboot it was taking 15-20 minutes of retrying before finally I would get on the web. This Rosewill LAN card came by way of with flying colors - glad to have that challenge go away.

Really easy to set up if the network drivers are already on the computer system. Just had to plug it into the computer system, and it was detected and was prepared-to-go automatically. None to be found. Could be a various story if you didn't already have a network driver installed on the computer system. As this was replacing an on-board LAN card that had broke, absolutely nothing new had to be added to the personal computer except for this card.

Rosewill high quality and low, low price none My onboard networking died, so I ordered this 1. It fit in the slot nicely -- no jamming it in like some of the el cheapo PCI cards I have bought. Vista recognized it right away and installed drivers in about a minute. The internet began working within about 1.5 minutes.

Worked great right away. Inexpensive and a superior deal. Installed in an old Windows 98SE Dell PC with out a built-in LAN port. I use a wireless access point to obtain a signal from my router. None. I utilized to use a USB adapter but my old 1 died and I had trouble receiving software program to function with Win98 even although it was supposed to. Lastly installed this card and my connection problems were over.

Comment:
Bought this to replace a failing on-board NIC. Works great out of the box (no drivers required) on my Windows 7 32-bit method. Very inexpensive solution. It's not a Gigabit card, but due to the fact I had no require for one in this create it didn't matter to me. Wouldn't detect initially. Moved to diverse PCI slot and have been going strong ever considering that.
