wow, this CPU cooler is wonderful!its sort of apparent that individuals would whine that the fan speed controller doesnt perform, they possibly hooked it up wrong, but as soon as you get it right (took me just 30 seconds of fiddling) its incredible! My CPU used to run 55+, then i changed out the thermal compound, and it ran 40-43 idle, and 55-64 complete load, now it runs 37-39 idle, and 48-55 complete load, a dramatic difference!I would definetally acquire from rosewill again, its high good quality stuff at a low excellent price, seriously, i got this for 15 bucks, my regional retailers would basically die at that value.YeeHaw! they could instruct individuals a little better on installation, and the cords could constantly be a trifle shorter? bought a case from rosewill, at the moment hunting to transfer to a much better power provide (probably rosewill) and get 2 80 MM case fans (also searching at rosewill).im simply a fan, every little thing ive purchased from them, it just functions (suck it apple)

Good copper base with an aluminum best, the top rated fan protector frame keeps wires from accidentally getting into and slowing down the fan. Nevertheless waiting to see when it's going to die on me Works good for 95 watt AMD cpus. You can tweak out the fan speed.

Really Rather and dropped the temps on my Opteron 2350 to 35 degrees with full load. Fits right onto a socket 1207. A little bulkier and heavier than the stock AMD cooler but the trade off is properly worth it.

Comment:
Quiet, uncomplicated installation and exceptional cooling. A wire came off one of the connectors for the integrated speed controller. I did not will need the controller as the Motherboard (Asus A8n-Deluxe) controls the fan speed. It appeared to be a QC issue - this is why I deducted one particular egg. Fan and heat sink function wonderful. CPU by no means gets hot even with modest ƕ%) more than clocking. The fan speed generally stays about 1500rpm which tends to make it extremely quiet.

Rosewill RCX-Z1 Long life ball bearing for over 45,000/hrs CPU Cooler
Comment:
It's a good heatsink and and fan, really innovative design. It runs Quite quiet and with the fan controller (if it performs) you have the choice of letting it work challenging and make some noise or set it to a slower, quieter setting. The fan controller was DOA. Which isn't necessarily a huge deal. The difficulty is that EVERYTIME I've called Rosewill to speak to the RMA department, the automated method tells me the small business hours and then proceeds to tell me to call back during those times. The aggravating portion is that I'm constantly calling for the duration of regular hours and still no a single picks up my contact and I'm told to contact back when they're open. Veins in my head are exploding from this very shotty service. I would anticipate some smaller manufacturers to have undesirable help and service but Rosewill is a major well-liked business so their rating from me will certainly take a hit. I'll be thinking twice before getting Rosewill once again, not because its not great good quality, but mainly because in the event that I need service or help, I know that they'll hang me out to dry again. The heatsink and fan work just fine without having the controller. You can nevertheless hook it directly up to the 3 pin fan connector on the mobo, where it runs at complete bore.

Feels solid. Looks fantastic. Quality material. Amazing cost... The heatsink is also wide to match on my M2N32-SLI Deluxe mobo... as well wide to fit next to the copper pipes next to the CPU socket. Fantastic issue I don't in fact want the heatsink... I bought this for parts. The fan on my old CPU cooler broke and it was cheaper to obtain this than just a new fan alone. Regardless, I like it.

nice large cooler fit my MiniATX case. After reading the testimonials I was a bit concerned on the controller getting cheep. Let me inform you, unless you use a controller this thing is loud. At its lowest speed my AMD 720 sits @ 19c idle and 32c max load. I am only over clocked to three.02. @ one particular point I had this point operating complete blast on the power supply and I had my CPU down to 14c. an additional Roswill item and another fantastic critique. The clip did seem like it was a bit loose but the temps are all very good. The cooler fins just touch my ram heatsinks. I did not use the thermal pad that came with this cooler. I never ever trust that garbage. Use artic silver there is no better. Thanks New egg for rapid shipping and good service.

This is a great for the price tag. Installed and tested works excellent and stays from 27c to 32c throughout normal use, and doesn't get above 55c with gaming set at max every thing. I seen one user had a challenge with the fan not beginning up, was not the case with mine as it could have been a faulty fan for him. I upgraded to this fan from stock fan+hs with no copper base and it created a main distinction operating a 125w amd 64 x2 6000+ Will be utilizing this fan till it dies on me. None Works Excellent and keeps 125w cool adequate for me. As constantly make sure to monitor the temp right from the get go with your favored plan. When initial using mine the temps had been alright till I loaded a game and then it shot up 100c (yikes) to get the paste great and warm. Then I shut cpu off and took a nap. Has not got above 55c given that though running any game at max anything. Most of that is due to my nvidia 9800 oc+ 1gb vid card. It's quite large even in my complete tower and of course right underneath the processor. I watched my temps for a handful of days with the situation off, then place back on and watched the temps some a lot more.

A excellent solid heatsink, with a big, pretty higher top quality fan. I'm working with it on a somewhat low energy processor, so I don't rely on it to dissipate a huge amount of heat. It is nicely suited to this application - at a moderate speed it is quiet as a whisper, and keeps every little thing sufficiently cool. So it works, and it was affordable. Two chief troubles: - The connector is three pin, not four pin. You can see this obviously in the pictures. This isn't terrible, but since the CPU fan connector on most motherboards is four pin, your mobo won't be able to monitor and handle the speed of this fan. - By my measure, it is bulkier than a stock AMD or Intel heatsink/fan. Probably not the best selection for a microATX motherboard/chassis in which space will be limited. Offered the price tag and capabilities of this heatsink, it makes a great match for a mid-range OEM processor, as a substitute for a stock heatsink. If your rig has space for it and you don't need to have to move substantial amounts of heat, this is an superb cost-effective decision.

Take note, that I removed the pre-applied Zinc Oxide that was on the bottom of this with a few Q-tips and rubbing alcohol. Directions for Optimal Usage:I applied 1 1ǘ rice-grain sized glob of Arctic Cooler 5 to the center of the CPU. Vertically attach the Heatsink and fan. Wiggle 1 or 2 degrees so the air bubbles are minimal, if not gone. None Brought my temps from 40 to 23 on idle, 29 on load. Woah.

I was alerted by burning smell from my computer. fortunately computer shut down ahead of it fried. Soon after warranty of program. Wonderful heatsing/fan. Very uncomplicated install: clip on one particular side, clip on the other side and turn the lever. Wonderful improvement from the stock HSF. Only has three pin connector... Installed on a AMD Phenom x2 555 on a AM3 Asus motherboard. Temps are 34 degrees idle and 42 degrees full charge on CPU. The variable potentiometre is cool as well (install on the back of case like a PCI card)

Have an overclocked quad Athlon II 630 and was experiencing close to 60 deg when encoding videos. This knocked the temps down about five deg over stock cooler and does not cost a lot. Not as excellent as more high-priced coolers, but for the value, it does the job. A tiny loud on complete energy. With summer season coming on and me not liking air conditioning, this will come in handy.

Cooled by AMD phenom II x3 from 30 to 20 degrees at idle, from 63 to 45 degrees on complete load with prime 95 without having OC. This is a significant improvement over AMD stock fan. Took about five mins to get the latches in location on my MB. This thing is twice as huge as the AMD stock fan and at least twice as loud. Good value for the value. Only cons are huge and loud.

Low-cost for what you get. COPPER CORE in base. Uncomplicated to install (almost As well uncomplicated...) Temps dropped 8-15 degrees. Operating 2 of these, just ordered a 3rd. receiving the pre-appled grease off the bottom. I utilised Arcticlean to eliminate the grease, then used AS Ceramique to cool. I assume painting the copper is why it runs SO cool. (NOT kidding, 29c idle).AND IF Everyone HAS NOT, CHECK ARCTIC SILVER'S Internet site. Application patterns have changed.
