low-cost. no overheating difficulties. it's not pretty? I bought this with an OEM cpu that was on sale, couldn't have ordered a greater mixture for the value. |

Fantastic performance for an amazing price tag None Fourth Rosewill product I've purchased here and all 4 have been winners so far (other three becoming a case, energy supply, and tricky drive docking station).Paired this jewel up with an Athlon II 620 oem bought off some tiny on the internet auction website. Operating at 3.35 ghz idle temps around 33C, only time temps go above 40 is when gaming, exactly where they'll sometimes climb into the low 50s. |

I have a micro ATX mobo so this was like the only heatsink that would fit my case and it just created it devoid of covering any rams slots. It's a tiny far better then stock AMD but absolutely nothing unique. But for eight$ what do you count on :) Eh. |

Much cooler than stock and quite quiet. Very Impressive for the cost. Employed to replace a stock HP AMD that went negative. What a difference. None to date. I've read some other critiques of failures down the road, I'm hoping I got one particular that lasts the rated 45,000 hours. |

Brought temps down and got an older chip some new life. It is a little loud on high, and I'm not making use of the fan controller, just AMD cool n quiet tech, in fear of setting it too low and frying my CPU. |

I pulled this out of the closet to use on my AM3 X2-555 and found that it functions very nicely. Simple installation and superior cooling with out going exotic or spending a lot of cash. The speed controller is simple but does what it was created to do. Wonderful cooling for the price tag! You will hear it at full throttle. I had it installed before I read the specs and noticed it stated nothing at all about working with it on an AM3. At least my board is an AM2+ :) Currently have this on a Gigabyte mATX 780 board with a stock Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition @ 3.2GHz in a Coolermaster Centurion case, HD4670Ιgig video card, Antec 550W PS, two tough drives, SB Audigy, etc. and the CPU core temps are 21C idle and 45 max below the Prime95 torture test, combined with Super-Pi just for grins. When the temps were maxed out I ran Super-Pi on best of P95 just to make confident the CPU was completely buried, and it was. I ran it till I was satisfied that 45C was the max temp and then closed Pi and P95. The temps dropped to the 20's in seconds. It will never lift a load heavier than that so I happy with it. I practically ordered the AC Freezer Pro for my AM3 but decided to pull this out of the closet and give it a shot and I am glad I did. The AC-Freezer Pro is a very good cooler but not great enough to warrant the expense of replacing this 1. |

Superior to stock cooling. Fan is nice size and blows fairly a bit of air. Idle temperatures ~ន, prime95 temperatures ~អ with mild overclocking on an OEM Phenom X4. Comes with knob for manual fan speed adjustment. Comes with stock thermal paste pre-applied. I forgot to get rid of thermal paste very first (yes, I am new to this...) :[ |

Functions well for my Phenom II X3 with the pre-applied pasteInexpensiveUncomplicated to installGrill eliminates danger of wires getting caught and/or severed in the fan Fan is not PWM controlled, and it is LOUD at full setting. Like hair dryer loud. My motherboard can\'t regulate the speed of a non-PWM CPU fan so I replaced the fan with a PWM 1 and all is good now.I knew these before I bought this so it nevertheless gets five eggs. I purchased this with the complete intention of replacing the fan with a PWM one, but tried the supplied fan just for kicks. It would possibly get three eggs if I wasn't able to replace the fan. The supplied fan controller works, but it is too cumbersome for me to use. |

Installed in two minutes. Lowered idle temps by 15c, load temps by 18c on high setting. A lot much better than AMD stock heatsink/fan combo. Didn't make me a sandwich. Got here quickly! Couldn't comment on noise, as I have 6 other fans in my case, so didn't notice a distinction. |

I just installed this new fan and heat sync nowadays, it hasn't fully cured yet, and I am seeing average temps of 35 degrees C compaired with 45 Degrees C previously- straightforward installation-manual fan speed adjustmant through a knob on the back of the personal computer.- Good cooling capability- Quiet opperation even at the highest RPM setting.- Low price upgrade None Overall fantastic value for the performance level. I would advocate to anyone wanting to upgrade from their stock fans. |

92mm fan moves a ton of air.Was plenty quiet at wide open at least for me.Fan controller.Fan guard is a good touch and it's quickly removable ifyou want to maximize airflow.Nicely packaged and a excellent seeking cooler with the red fan. May not be the finest selection for greater heat apps. Bought it for a x2 6000 three.1ghz brisbanew). Was hoping it would lower the temps over the oem copper heatpipe cooler due to it's huge fan but no such luck so the stock cooler went back in. The stock is keeping me at 57C under load in the course of gaming so I guess that will have to do. I'll definitely put it to use in one more pc and it's still a bargain for the cost. |

Easy to install, clear directions.Keeps my CPU very cool. With stock cooler my AMD Athlon processor would method (and exceed) its high temp limit of 71C if it ran anywhere near 100% CPU load for far more than a minute or two. With this cooler it can run at 100% CPU load indefinitely and temp will stabilize at about 62C if space temp is 70F. None that I have identified. To try and appropriate high temperatures I changed instances, added an additional case fan, tried various thermal compounds. Of course absolutely nothing did the trick like this cooler. Now that my temperature challenge is solved I guess I have to get back to perform and quit putzing around with my computer system. |

Effortless to install. Comes with the thermal paste pre-applied, so you don't have to worry about finding that correct. The fan is incredibly quiet even with the speed manage on max. And the red color is entirely awesome. The speed control for the fan has a lot of loose wires, and it can genuinely clutter up your case. In mine, I had to install it below the video card, and had to be quite cautious to make positive the wires did not interfere with its cooling fan. I purchased this to replace an AMD cooling fan that died when I had a power supply break down and emit smoke and sparks. It got my laptop or computer operating again till I realized that the power supply failure took out two of my challenging drives and their motherboard controllers. I am now building a completely new system, so I won't be able to use this shiny red fan :( |

The speed manage is a nice additional for environments where a manual balance between noise and cooling is necessary (such as a HTPC in a console-size case). Fits a number of generations of AMD CPUs; a superior fit as a replacement for aging Socket 754뭃뭄 CPU fans as properly as AM2s. It's reasonably compact vertically, but has a huge fan-out heatsink, creating it workable on numerous Micro-ATX form factor motherboards. The speed control is not technically necessary for installation, but with no it, the fan will run at full speed (which can be noisy). The manage does need to have a full-length unused backplate for installation, although most ATX and mini-ATX cases have one or two spare these days. |

On low setting (fan controller) it keeps the temp at around 40C. (Using Core Temp App). Noise level is decent. Very Uncomplicated to set up. Comes w/ thermal paste already on the unit! A bit loud when the fan controller's on high, but the temp drops from amt. of air being circulated. This is where the "Great Client Support" comes in...My Fan Controller was defective, so I contacted newegg about it. Feedback was very fast, a different Fan Controller was going to be sent at no charge to me but unfortunately they did not have a spare. That left returning it or exchanging it so I emailed Rosewill. They worked their magic, contacted newegg and mailed me one more RCX-71 ( The Fan controller comes in a modest box inside a larger one containing the Fan / Heatsink). This was all in a matter of a couple of days! Waited a bit to write a evaluation to make sure every little thing worked well, and it all is! Thank you newegg and Rosewil. =D |

Low cost, effective, copper core. Heatsink could use some much more copper on it, makes a little clicking noise when revved to high RPMs. |

This heat sink is bigger than the OEM sink and runs quicker when set at the highest speed. The cooler has been installed < 1 hour and the typical CPU core temp is operating about 5C degrees lower. The heat sink clips only engages 1 tab on every single side where the OEM sink engages all 3 tabs for a far more secure and even pressure mount.
