1) Low Price (less than a pair of movie tickets...:Ɯ) Substantial Fan & Cooling Surface3) Effortless Mountingfour) Wide Clearance at Basefive) Fan Controller Option6) Fan Mounted Wire Guard (that really functions!ơ) Pre-Applied Thermal Paste for Convenience 1) Pre-Applied Thermal Paste is OEM Excellenttwo) 3 Ɠ) Pin Fan Connector, not 4 Ɣ) pin I'm running this HSF on an AMD Phenom II x3 740BE at three.0ghz and 95 watts. My mainboard is a Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 with all the RAM banks populated. With the low grade OEM paste and higher ambient space temperatures I am obtaining 36c Idle and 48c Load temps. This is quite excellent, particularly after operating a toaster oven cpu 񣎀+ x2 Windsor ) for fairly a when. If I had utilized Arctic Silver I'm constructive my temps would be even lower, but I am incredibly satisfied with the temps as they stand. An critical consideration for me was base clearance simply because my Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 mainboard has tall capacitors close to the cpu socket. The Rosewill RCX-Z1 style leaves a lot of area around the socket and very easily clears my capacitors and memory banks.I am really pleased with the efficiency of this heatsink and fan. I can hugely recommend this device to anybody needing a low price, moderately performing heatsink for a 95 watt TDP chip. Of course, if you don't know what you're carrying out, no device will support...:)

I applied this heat sink and fan for more than a year and a half with an Athlon 5200+ Then when I upgraded my motherboard I utilised this HS&F with My new Athlon2 x4 630 and it kept it at a very cool 23c idle and even at one hundred% on all 4 cores by no means went above 35c. The large copper base plate leaves nothing to guess at when mounting and is great an very effortless to mount. Not actually a con per say, But it could use a 4 pin plug. The fan did ultimately give out right after more than years of continuous use and they were out of stock on Newegg, the one I did acquire does the job but I am purchasing this for my subsequent construct even although it isn't technically rated for an Athlon two CPU's

Great cooling for the low price tag. I have a 7750BE and the stock cooler is just junk threw it proper away. and bought this. It took about 2 days to burn in and for the temps to settle down. Now Im running around 36-39c Idle and it never ever goes above 46c on full load. Bang for the Buck!!! The Fan that came with it is fairly but dosnt push enough air and it only has a 3pin connector. I replaced it with an additional fan (a bit much more loud) and it has a 4pin CPU connector. So I ended up just employing the Fan Controller Knob for my rear out-take fan, performs effectively. Good Bang fo rhte Buck for Sure. NOT Very good FOR OVERCLOCKING

Not outstanding in any way. A lot Too loud on full setting. With the fan controller, the speeds are not rapid enough to be powerful. Fan controller doesn't perform if only plugged into the MB pins, it wants a four pin molex to work, and then the speed is not impressive, but the fan is silent then. Stock AMD fan ranged from 30 to 55. This ranges from 29 to 50 cel. So there is actually no advantage from this.

My stock AMD cooler was just not cutting it any longer. I just required a good smaller basic cooler and this does the job. It's a tad bigger than the stock cooler, but it fits into my little, mini-atx, (Cooler Master Elite 360) case just fine. I'm not exactly utilizing this laptop for gaming or 3d modelling or anything. On my Phenom II 550 it's running at about 30 idle and doesn't get above 40 on standard load. I'm not gaming or something, so it does the job effectively, and for only ฟ, I can't complain. N/A

Substantially far better airflow than the stock 939 cooler, copper base helps a lot. A fan speed controller is good. None so far. The price tag isn't a lot more than a stock AMD HS&F, but the performance distinction is huge. My A64 X2 was acquiring so hot it would make the mb shut down, even with a moderate upgrade. The copper base tends to make all the difference. I have to run the fan at full speed but now it tops out at about 50C instead of 80-90.Following finding a totally free C2D of the exact same specs I'll never go back to AMD. I loved the cost but the C2D runs more rapidly and so substantially cooler I'll be acquiring older Intels and receiving the very same functionality in a CPU. I nevertheless favor ATI graphics cards although.

If everyone is looking for a decent CPU heasink/fan for a good value, this need to be it. I am at present operating an Athlon II X4 630 at 95 Watts and this cooler does its job amazingly. I like the copper heatsink and fan controller as nicely!AMD stock heatsink/fan = 50°C idleኝ°C complete loadRosewill RCX-Z1 = 28°C idleኌ°C complete loadThat is a Massive improvement over the stock AMD heatsink/fan. Because the fan is also a 92mm, it's extremely quiet compared to an 80mm fan running at full load. The overall create of this heatsink/fan looks incredibly sturdy. I am extremely impressed and will obtain an additional a single for my subsequent construct. The fan controller is a tiny flimsy following installing at 1 of my PCI slots, but it still does its job completely, which is to handle the RPM of the fan. If everyone was questioning if this will fit in an AM3 motherboard, then the answer is yes it will fit in an AM3 or AM2+ socket on a motherboard.

Really low-cost (eight bucks when I got it). Incorporated fan controller (not using it). Compatible with socket AM3. Rosewill is forthcoming with consumer help. Excellent copper and aluminum construction. At equivalent RPM's, it is not as quiet as the AC Freezer 64 that I had to replace because it was also big for my HTPC case. runs silent on the lower settingperforms like it ought to, keeps my CPU at 27c idleunder 50c in the course of gaming at its lowest settings does get loud at mid-greater settings, but operates so nicely that unless you OC over the top you wont need to have to use those settingsawful cable management if you set up the knob control, grab some zip ties if they produced this with a 4pin or had better cable management, 5 stars straightforward!

- Fan manage that can be mounted in the rear which is fantastic.- Packaging was good quality, item was fully intact and and not sent in a crushed/broken tiny box you may well discover from a super discount shop. Also came with a manual and the fan dial was even packaged in its personal box lol.- Powerful, the fan has a dial that goes from low to higher, enabling you to compensate noise over raw energy of cooling.- Quality heatsink and high quality fan. You could feel and also see it was made to final. I'm quite delighted with my acquire. If there is any low cost CPU cooler you need for AM2 or AM3, I Very propose this cooler, as it does the job perfectly. None what so ever. Mounted it on my 5600+ AMD Dual core, Keeps it nice and cool at about 30 C. ( This Pc I sold to my pal.)No problems so far.

Not as loud as i though it would be. The cooler handle tends to make it convenient when adjusting the temp. I overclocked my AMD 5400+ Oc'd to two.9 from two.7. AND i got it for eight bucks! My wife hates it! So i have it operating about two.4k instead of three.0k, and my cpu nevertheless runs cool at 40c.

Now, this may seriously be preference, but it seems to run extremely silently. Myself, personally, I would rather hear the fan functioning and give up silence for efficiency. This fan, however, adjusts itself its speed on cycles so that it runs quick and "louder" (not loud) with more functionality, to slowly and silent when not necessary. Extremely "smart" fan! The temperature will fluctuate, which could not often be preferred. Nevertheless, if this isn't to your taste you can basically modify it in BIOS, (or possibly not basically for some :P). Also, for some it could run slightly loud at occasions during its cycle but isn't quite loud in my tiny metalic case. It is easily adjusted for personal preference and keeps the pc really cool. It saves energy by adjusting fan speed with the adjusting temperature. It comes with a controller to adjust fan speed manually... but its on the back of the case... exactly where you can't usually get to... which ought to be a con, but seeing as how it does not impact the performance of the fan itself, I won't take into account it as one particular. Right after each and every 14 degrees of increasing temperature, it kicks in and cools it down 13 - 16 degrees. So, with mine... it goes from 85 to 99 and goes back down to 83 - 85 (depending on workload). General, wonderful fan!

I had this heatsink for over 2 years now and it has been functioning fantastic ever since. I got my Phenom II X2 overclocked to 3.7ghz on this point with temperatures operating about 45-50C underload. Good top quality heatsink for a low price. Extremely propose if you want a cheap high top quality solution. It's not actually a con, but far more of a personally challenge. The CPUf fan controller is excellent and all if you want the fan to run quieter, but all of the wires is just a massive ol mess to me. Positive I could just tie them down but it still looks messy in the case.

Temps are 33 degrees below load, the fan controller is a must to set up, otherwise the fan will run at 3K RPM, which is too loud. This only has a three pin adapter, most people will want a 4 pin adapter, but I didn't notice that initially. The 1st motherboard that I put this into, the CPU ran hot, and I left an unspectcular evaluation. But, it was a low end board, which may possibly have been portion of the problem. I bought a second MB, and the CPU runs with low operating temps, as talked about above. Suitable now it is at 30 degress. I didn't use any particular paste either.
