Lowered CPU temp idle to about 29-32 mid 40s beneath load on low, high lowers individuals from 1-4 more degrees none have this on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+...utilized to idle at high 40s and below load hit 50s sometimes it'd hit 60 I'd have to listen to the fan although I played Counter Strike Supply...That's pretty undesirable...but now its quiet under load unless u wanna put it on high and lower your temp a handful of a lot more degrees.

This is the second one particular I've purchased. The first a single was great and this one is as well. Was concerned it may possibly not be AM3 compatible but it is.. Has cooled my 1090T effectively for 2 months and cooled a 9850 for two years solid with no concerns. none

I've applied these in builds often over the previous year and have been very pleased. Copper base is good, substantially far better than a stock AMD heatsink. Fan is potent and quiet. Fan grill is a great addition to the cooler. Adds a cool look for window instances. For ฤ I'd like to see the addition of heatpipes. This works with AMD system post 754. 939, AM2, AM2+, AM3 all use the exact same mounting technique, which means any cooler that works with 1 will work with any others.

Idle around 37c on a quad core, 46c complete load. Nice colors, has copper bottom plate, and cheap. Copper plate is fairly rough, could need to have to whip out the sand paper. Off with the fan guard, wiped away thermal paste, and applied Arctic Silver. :)

Big heatsink location regardless of smaller relative size. The thermal absorption allows it to keep tighter oveall tollerance to heat. The direction of the sink fans blows appropriate by way of my mobo heatsink. The fans' best rpm was lower than the a single I replced it with and it was louder than the old reused a single even with no the fancy fan controller and wires. I spent much less on one that was better than this. Now my old fan is creating "too-tight" noises on the new heatsink. I wasted my time and money on this fan I use a three core amd3 at 95w but in a incredibly tiny itx case and this is not carrying out the job I want it to. I had no clearance for the flat fan but I tried it. I had to reuse one that allowed side air breathing. I sanded fine the copper base and applied a actual thermal paste and I'm nonetheless not pleased with this thing. Do oneself a favor and get a steak dinner rather.

Pregreased base for good thermal conductivity, completely dead quiet, keeps AMD chip good and awesome Attachment mechanism for AM3 base hard to perform with and took several (finger cutting) tries to engage. Superb swift delivery from NewEgg and good value for a extremely quiet fan

Easy to set up, like how it has the compound on the bottom preset. The color goes wonderful with my all red unit. With load I was operating in the 80-83 degress range in the ambien air coming out. With this puppy installed and on hi I am running at 73 degrees appropriate now. The handle can lower the fan noise and speed, but even on high setting I have a 120 side fan that is a bit louder then this unit. The wires off the control panel could have been black banded like the wires off then fan. Just a tiny messy, but absolutely nothing that can't be banded of covered up. I like the fan blades and cooling fins. Straightforward to glance in and see if the dust bunnies are nesting.

-Cheap.-Cools my 5000+ @ 3GHz considerably better than the stock cooler.-Copper base.-High RPM. -Noise.-Fan speed controller is gimmicky, creates lots of cable mess in my case.-Not fantastic for intense OCing. Get this if you wanna replace the stock cooler for a mild OC.

Effortless to install, excellent price, superior than most stock coolers that come with low-mid range processors. Idle temps are fantastic. Not appropriate for high-finish processors *at all.* A 3Ghz quad core will easily jump to 80C below complete load. I bought this for a gaming pc thinking it would be superior than the stock cooler, and boy was I wrong. This point will *NOT* be excellent adequate for any contemporary gaming build. Completely fine for any non-gaming rig even though.

- Drop in replacement for stock AMD cooler.- Thermal compound pre-applied.- CPU temps roughly 20C cooler. One of pins on a fan controller connector was inserted incorrectly, when I plugged the fan into it the pin pushed out. The locking tab was bent backwards and broke off when I tried to set it ideal. Not a difficulty for me given that I don't require the controller, but a minor good quality concern. I've had this Computer for 4 years with the stock cooler. A couple of times more than the years I'd have heat complications and necessary to reapply thermal paste. This time nevertheless I still had overheating troubles, even immediately after new goo, blowing all dust out of the heat sink, etc. This unit drops correct into location and the CPU is now operating way cooler than ever with the stock cooler.

The fan was super easy to install, and is keeping the CPU easily beneath 40 degrees C 鲨 degrees F)! I'd rather not have the silly control for the back panel; the CPU and motherboard really should solely figure out how rapid it spins. Not wanting to fry my CPU, I went ahead and installed the further handle knob and set the speed to max. I'd rather have just plugged the fan straight into the mobo, but didn't want to void any warranties.

Low-cost and helpful, cant be beat on a price to performance scale. Loud at anything but lowest fan setting, but it did quiet down a bit right after I let the motherboard deal with the speed as an alternative of the included fan controller, but it was still alot louder than the stock fan. It knocked about ten degrees F off,so I'm pleased with the get,if it had been quieter it would have gotten 5 eggs.

Low cost, uncomplicated install on an Athlon x2, runs cooler than OEM fan. Installed fan controller and ran with it for a whilst. It was loud and never ever seemed to carry out properly. Took the controller out and allowed the cpu to manage the fan and now it runs cooler and quieter. Pleased with it. On the other hand if you are prepared to spend ฟ far more and have a case big sufficient to fit it I don't know why you wouldn't want to go with the Cool Master Hyper 212+

This heat sink is bigger than the OEM sink and runs quicker when set at the highest speed. The cooler has been installed < 1 hour and the typical CPU core temp is operating about 5C degrees lower. The heat sink clips only engages 1 tab on every single side where the OEM sink engages all 3 tabs for a far more secure and even pressure mount.

Fantastic performance for an amazing price tag None Fourth Rosewill product I've purchased here and all 4 have been winners so far (other three becoming a case, energy supply, and tricky drive docking station).Paired this jewel up with an Athlon II 620 oem bought off some tiny on the internet auction website. Operating at 3.35 ghz idle temps around 33C, only time temps go above 40 is when gaming, exactly where they'll sometimes climb into the low 50s.

I have a micro ATX mobo so this was like the only heatsink that would fit my case and it just created it devoid of covering any rams slots. It's a tiny far better then stock AMD but absolutely nothing unique. But for eight$ what do you count on :) Eh.

Much cooler than stock and quite quiet. Very Impressive for the cost. Employed to replace a stock HP AMD that went negative. What a difference. None to date. I've read some other critiques of failures down the road, I'm hoping I got one particular that lasts the rated 45,000 hours.
