- Painless RMA and speedy turn about by Newegg- Replacement performs as expected - Initially one particular was DoA Ordered one particular, didn't perform, crossed fingers on replacement and got fortunate.Need to be too really hard and/or time consuming to test a cable before it leaves the factory. Maybe it got broken in shipping, but I have my doubts and feel the manufacturer dropped the ball on testing the solution.Knocked points off for DoA one particular, replacement item seems to be functioning fine

Long length Cheaply created, top quality is truly lacking. Overall performance was nonexistent, couldn't even hook 2 of them collectively let alone 5. At least it arrived rapidly! RMAing now. Invest the extra cash on a high quality cable.

Copper may possibly be recycled.Could be employed to bundle firewood or hold up a dropped muffler.Shiny material could frighten crows and other birds away. Bottom line- they don't work regularly. I attempted these with a wide selection of computers and devices and basic couldn't keep them running any period of time. Read the other critiques and make a decision for yourself no matter if you're prepared to spend this considerably for prospective baling wire.

Functions great. I've got a multi-function printer that warns you not to use a USB cable longer than six feet. But the cable actually hooks up inside the printer (very weird), which chews up 2 feet of cable and forced me to location the printer in the middle of the room. Ridiculous. So I hooked up this repeater, and it works good. Now I don't have my printer sitting in the middle of the room. None. Appears to be a very good high quality unit, and certainly performs very nicely. I'm preparing to purchase a couple additional just to have them around. Every thing is USB now, so I feel it will be handy to have spares.

Worked suitable out of the box. Able to chain 2 of these collectively and then connect my little USB bluetooth hub. Detected fine under WinServ03. USB keyboard & trackball operate fine off that hub. Only that I didn't know about this solution sooner. Genuinely helps with extending input devices to a second space. I hold my server in a closet, so these extenders permit me to connect peripherals with out a problem.

Operates properly, no complaints against solution. Newegg sent me an more order of two cables even though I only ordered two and charged me again for these items. I also ordered a laptop desk as a gift for my girlfriend and somehow it was taken off of order and rather I was sent a total of three duplicate products that I actually don't have a use for plus the price of additional products. Because the laptop desk did not come in, I will have to go to Very best Purchase and spend a little much more for the laptop desk, plus obtaining to pay for products that I don't need to have. Merry Christmas Newegg account dept. thanks for your great assistance.

16 feet is a fantastic length for one cable. Can connect up to five cables. Incredibly versatile cable. It doesn't print money ;-) As described in a prior critique, just plug the cable in and enable for windows to recognize and set up it. THEN plug in the device your making use of. No problems what so ever here.

Dirt inexpensive and operates as advertised. Packaging didn't have images of attractive girls and newegg always sends me also many packing peanuts. :p This repeater allowed me to place my loud Pc in a closet to mask its noise. Connected to this repeater is a USB hub to which I connected a mouse, keyboard, external DVD burner and occasionally a USB thumbdrive. Under no circumstances lost any data transfers and under no circumstances burned any cd/DVD coasters. I now delight in significantly significantly less ambient noise in my household workplace.

Long. Worked initially (for about 3 weeks) and I was delighted. Then intermittent problems normally fixed by unplugging. Now it has gone to that great USB graveyard.Steer clear of. It sat on the floor snaked around the edge of a spare bedroom and was connected my All-In-One particular printer to a Pc. Was hardly ever touched or moved (other than to get it functioning once more). It must have lasted a lifetime.

Low-cost, will break the five meter limit for USB. Definitely did not operate with my Epson PictureMate printer. Could be the printer, could be the MoBo... who knows? Printer would print half a pic and page feed, or print gibberish. Be prepared that USB is finickey, as opposed to Ethernet. Replaced this with a passive 3m extender (also from NewEgg), and almost everything worked. Then I added an iRocks 4x USB2 hub, still all good! NewEgg shipping and service is a 6, as usual.

Trying to run my household Pc from a closet numerous feet away from my desktop, to reduce clutter, noise, and possible harm to the Pc from dust and smoke. Originally had two of these chained with a four-port hub at the end, but benefits have been spotty. Following some trial and error, I figured out a single of the two cables I'd ordered was defective. Newegg is replacing that, so it's all great, but figuring out the problem was akin to acquiring the burned-out bulb on an old-fashioned string of xmas lights. If it weren't for this hitch, I'd be providing this an unqualified 5. 50% failure rate, shooting for 33%. Of course I can only speak for myself. One particular important factor - these are one particular-port hubs, and Windows recognizes them as new hardware. If you're using Windows and seeking to chain these collectively or use them with a different hub, get your Computer booted up initial and plug in the chain 1 hyperlink at a time - let Windows find out and set up the initially cable just before plugging in the second one, or whatever device you strategy to run off of it.

This is a very good repeater and it does certainly repeat. The female connections run just a little warm. No large deal at all genuinely. Combined 3 of these 16 foot repeaters in a daisy chain with a webcam(also from newegg) it functions good at 54 total feetƖ feet on camera itself). None. Could not get a 4rth cable to daisy chain but hey, every little thing has its limits. I'm certain a powered hub at that point would kick up the signal adequate to go a different 48 feet.

I'll let you know if I discover 1. Initial one I received didn't work. I attempted it with 4 diverse USB devices, none received energy with this cable. So I let NewEgg know and they sent me a new 1, didn't even ask for the old a single back. The second a single worked... for about a minute, then the connection was gone. I'm making use of it on a wireless mouse/keyboard receiver to bring the receiver closer to me. My mouse would operate for 30 seconds to a minute, then cease. I'd have to physically reconnect this USB cable to get it functioning again. I haven't bothered to let NewEgg know about the second a single getting defective, however. I first attempted exchanging the first one particular for a various brand cable, but they said refund or exchange for similar item were my only options. I don't want to go through the difficulty of shipping this cable back anyway. I don't even have the packaging in which it came.

The cable is nice and flexible and the usb end connection is not massive. None so far, will need to see how long the cable lasts. This cable is used for my vista media center computer so that my youngsters can use their game controllers at a distance from the screen. I know I could use wireless but this was the least high-priced option.

nearly no signal drop. stickers fell off before i took out of the package, not terrible a hate stickers! very good flexibility, excellent looks and regular ends. Appears to be produced somewhat cheaply, but that is not a bad issue appear at the cost. one cord was ӭǘ inch smaller not really a large deal, QC stinks there. will function with Zboards but only as OS is loaded, not for DOS or Linux based installs, i havent been in a position get it to function, but normal PSǘ or keyboards that need a lot more then 200ma work fantastic.

long some minor linux compatibility problems -- can confuse hotplug/udev setup so boot with it all plugged in and prepared. Hotplugging with these cables effectively loaded drivers etc, but did not leave a useable device. If you're operating anything this far away I doubt you're plugging and unplugging it, so my con might not be an concern at all. I personally am working with them for surveillance cameras that won't be hot-plugged, so no biggie, but it does make troubleshooting difficult.
