If you're looking for something cheap that works well, this is a good product for you. If you are looking for a fancy hard drive enclosure, don't expect to get one for ten dollars.

This enclosure was perfect. I did not have any issues with HD moving inside of case. Set was all of 3 minutes tops. Did not have any issues with the quality of the case either. It looks well put together and is nice and simple. Power light indicates when data is being transferred. Bought this enclosure to make use out of a replaced ps3 HD. Perfect will recommend to others.

I upgraded my laptop's 120 GB hard drive to a 320 GB hard drive when I moved to Win7. My plan was to use the old drive for backing up my laptop. Installation of the old drive, hooking it up, and having Win7 recognize the drive and install appropriate drivers took less than 5 minutes. The drive and the enclosure worked flawlessly. The only negative (and it's not major) to report is that the USB connector on the drive enclosure feels a bit flimsy. As I'm not using this as a mobile drive and it's stationary on a shelf, it's not a problem for me.

Build quality is adequate, but not stellar. Price is right at $10 each on special. Performance is good. Works with Linux.

This hard drive enclosure worked like a charm to retrieve my friend's data from her laptop drives after her laptop died. I am very happy with it.

The enclosure revived a portable drive that died. Works well and fast. Nice that they include screwdriver. The case is light aluminium and should help with cooling. The holes of the case and cover do not line up correctly so that the screws do not go in all the way and are sticking out of the sides.

Had two external hard drives stop working because of problems with the enclosures. Ordered two of these from you guys and now back up and running again. I've since ordered two more of these.

Product looks and feels solid.However, the hard drive fits loose inside the chamber. This looseness could over a period of time affect the connection and responsiveness of the unit.

Overall feel of the case is cheap and you have to use both cables to work on some computers; having two ports free-open is an advantage. Too bad the computer I am using it on only has two ports.

Yes, that is correct, I got exactly what I wanted. I have used an IDE interface enclosure and now my business needed a SATA interface to recover data from a customers failing system. It's sleek, simple and trouble free. I recommend this item for the above reason AND to entice you other users to get one just for a 'back up' device. I even went as far as buying an extra hard drive simply for this purpose. I enjoy it. I am sure you will too.

Saved my data from a dead laptop, performs as advertized. My drive works perfectly with only one USB plugged in, took about a minute to put hdd in, and plug it in the usb. Works great!

This Hard Drive Enclosure works Great, easy to install my Hard Drive and no set up, just plug it in and the icon appeared on my Computer Desktop, I formatted the Drive to Fat32 to use as back up storage. It works on all of my Computers with Windows and Linux Ubuntu. Great Product, Thanks TigerDriect.

I have a 500Gb WD SATA drive in mine, right now, and have had no problems with it to date. The installation was easy and straight forward. The drive fit perfectly, and my PC recognized it right from start. If I ever need another enclosure, Ill definitely get this one.
