Solid product no issues working once the drivers can be found. The included disc either has the wrong or does not have drivers which work with XP. Searching the problem on the net provides a 'secret' link to Sabrent and the files. Sabrent does not make it easy though.

This is a barebones adapter, but it does what it is supposed to do. It allows you to ingest composite or S-video sources. This works as advertised and even has great picture quality.

Installed the drivers FIRST (might that be some other users problems?), plugged it in, and was IM-ming with a high-quality video camera less than a minute later. Easily worth the money.

If using Windows XP... the Drivers are hard to find but here is the link spelled out since they don't allow urls... (no spaces) sabr ent dot com slash drivers slash USB-AVCPT.zip I unzipped and manually upgraded my driver to the one in driver folder... i am sure you can do the setup.exe file too... i actually couldn't find the file via the menu on sabrent sites... another site gave me direct link... currently have no audio yet... you also have to change your video capture settings to NTSC or SVIDEO.... i'll figure out audio later but i don't need audio for my current project...

The driver is not working at all and I return this item... Search for drivers on the web and cannot get that thing to work.

Product worked fine once I got the right drivers. Drivers on CD no good, drivers from Sabrent web site no good so I called them. Spoke to two different reps both were rude as hell, acted as if I was the problem. They directed me to third party website and I got the right drivers. Will never buy products from them again.

Not sure what issues people are having with this device. I loaded the drivers, plugged the device in and have already transfered several dozen old 8mm tapes to DVD with out a hitch. Love it

this doesn't capture the sound, only the video and the online software support is useless. I've had to search 3rd party sites to get anywhere at all. Garbage product, waste of my time and money.

Installed easily and works. Didn't use the software that came with it, used a different software to capture video tape from VCR. Good picture and sound quality. Good purchase

You people having problems are not going in and changing the twain device to a composite input (the yellow plug) from what it defaults to. It's looking at the black s-video plug. I used my regular graphics editing program to access twain devices and changed it. works great now that it knows where to look for the incoming data.

I cannot get this product to work. I believe it is a driver problem. I will not load and as the product I recieved was generic a driver could not be found online. Do not buy this product.

Purchased this product primarily to convert VHS tapes to DVDs. Previously used Ulead GIF Animator, so was confident in the software. Installation was not quite as clear as it might have been, but got it running without too much fuss. Ruined several blanks before getting the correct format settings for recording and burning DVDs, but with some help from the manual, both software and hardware now perform well. All and all, am well satisfied with both price and performance.

I received the product and followed instruction to install. I loaded the accompnying software and tried to use the product. It did not have a driver. As instructed I tried to load the driver from CD but received error that driver could not be located. The worst part is that the vendor never responded to my email request for help in locaqting the driver. After a week I emailed Tirgerdirec for help and no response from them either. Save your money.

I read several of the reviews and was very skeptical. But after reading reviews on all other items, found that all products had simular reviews. So for the price, I didn't think I could go too wrong. I installed it with no problem and it seems the software must have been a newer version than some of the reviews I had read. I did have to make a setting change in one of the pieces of software to NTSC, other than that it worked great with my Hi8 video camara!

I've installed this device and the associated software on two PC's. Neither one will detect any sound. I've searched online and found several sites with people having problems with this device. I've tried all the fixes I can find to no avail. Not worth the effort.

The device and software installed like a breeze. The settings are a little hard to understand at first but after I figured that out, great video and audio capture. Excellent quality video and audio. Good enough to convert to DVD. Overall, great value for the money spent.

Ok first of all I didn't have a lot of hope that this product would give me the quality I needed when ordering. I made the purchase mainly for a test. So I have to give it 5 stars for value. I was wanting to record in game recording of games with my PS3 and it did that. The quality of the recording isn't that great in that you can't really see the scores clear or other intricate writing or names on the screen. But it does work. I'm spoiled to HDMI and the only connections with this product is either SVID or COMP connections. If you want clarity go with something that connects through HDMI connections or go with a HD camera in front of your TV.

installing was ok but the video signal had me stumped till I changed the formats. The quality of video is fair. I would recommend if you just want to get videos copied from a cam corder. If you want top of the line price you may want to look at a few more dollars. works for what I wanted just takes a little time to figure out.

I am running Window XP with it, Took a few tries and got it working both on audio + video, even without a soundcard, the only format I am still struggle with is the DVD, which doesn't recognize by the DVD player. The disc burns in MP4 plays fine on the computer, may be I need some other software to convert the file, but for the money it's a good value.

I've seen several Sabrent products listed hereand they almost always have the lowest price (that should have been my first clue). Although I usually opt for the more well known name brands, I decided to give their brand a try. Let me say that after trying their product, I will never buy their brand again. Hardware was substandard, cheaply made and poorly designed. Software that came with the item was difficult to install and failed to work since it was unable to detect a valid video signal from any video source. I eventually returned the item and instead bought a Pinnacle product, which worked as described.

I installed, messed with, uninstalled, then reinstalled the software to no avail. It simply did not work for me.

Device installed easily, only issue is if you are running a slow computer. Program/Software is easy to use.

I have not gotten this unit to work at all!! I have tried on 3 different computers 1 Vista 1 XP Media Center and 1 XP Professional. No video on any. Don't Buy!!

I am sorry that I have to write a negative review for this. I have Windows XP and after installing the drivers and supplied software it would not capture video, only sound. I found a website with advice on how to fix the drivers to make it work. Made sure it was set to NTSC and tried all other suggestions by others. Tried installing on 2 other computers - also no luck. I am very unhappy.

The bundled software DOES require some tweaking (remember to set to NTSC for the USA), but once configured properly, it works like a charm. I bought it to broadcast our church's service on ustream.tv (it needed to be able to act as a webcam), and it works just fine for this purpose. Thumbs up!
