Good Value
Comment:
I bought this with a new build I was doing for a friend. The card reader works perfect, but the first one I got did not work in any way. Nice transfer time on data (This will save a lot of time). A lot faster then if I was to just plug my camera into my PC.

Good Product

It was a little tight to install, just fit into my coolermaster case. Set up with Vista Home premium 64bit with no problem. Have only used 3.5 floppy drive and seems to work very well.

Finally worked
Comment:
I installed the combo unit and the floppy didn't work, it would just wurl and click. As I removed it to send it back I dropped it! My friend talked me into installing it again before I returned it and lo' and behold! It starting working! Cheapest repair I ever had. To expensive for the average guy, shop around and you'll find them cheaper and better.

Unclear Specs
Comment:
My motherboard doesn't have a floppy connector. So I ordered this drive since it said USB 2.0, assuming that all that was needed was a USB connection - wrong: it still needs a 34 pin floppy cable. I wish they would make it clear in the catalog that it still needs the floppy cable.

Great If you Have All Connections
Comment:
This item requires First,#1 A Floppy Drive Header,Note that A lot of newer motherboards don't have one.#2. A 4 pin Floppy power supply.#3.A 9 Pin ,an 8 pin won't work,USB Header port, that isn't in use.As long as you have those,it works great, and is A Must have for most computers. If you don't use,or have any floppy disks just get the multi card reader, with no floppy drive.I have lots of old floppies,it works and is a great addition.May need to buy additional floppy cable, I had one.

Decided to remove it.
Comment:
When I was trying to set up my computer to dual boot between XP or 64 bit Vista each card reading slot on the Sabrent device registered as a separate drive (F,G,H,I,J...) which scrambled the dual boot set up. I disconnected the Sabrent Card Reader to try and straighten out the boot up and was very surprised by the immediate speed-up of my computer. So I just removed the Sabrent device. I don't know what was wrong.

Bad Product
Comment:
Good idea to have floppy and all card readers in one and not expensive either. Although first one I received had problems reading SDHC cards. I exchanged it, now second one have problems trying to read floppy disks and xD card - takes forever to read each media and can't copy from that media at all. Is it total crap or am I so unlucky that two drives in a row are so bad. In any case I would not recommend it, waste of time.

Incredible product for tiny amount of money
Comment:
If you are into movie/video/picture capture/editing/printing like me, this is an incredible deal for you. I thought that I might have problems with the length of the cable running from the unit to the motherboard's USB header. I did not because the cable is almost 18" long. Perfect for the high tower computer chassis that houses my main computer. Also this store stocks a standard floppy 18" cable for just a few dollars. So, all things considered, you will be getting a good deal! Not suprising from this site that I have been dealing with for a lot of years!! Sincerely, Philip

How cool!
Comment:
I needed a card reader but didn't want another gadget on my desk. I wanted to keep my floppy drive to open some old floppies. Now I have it all in a cool built-in unit! And for such a great price! Perfect! Thanks!

Good product
Comment:
Good product especially if you only have one 3 external bay for those rare times you need to use a floppy disk. Just make sure your MB has an open USB plug. This device also uses a floppy cable in addition to the USB connection so be sure to order one it you dont have a spare. I have purchases/installed three of these w/o any issues.

It Works
Comment:
I primarily needed a card reader, and this product has worked fine, but it would have been much nicer if the floppy could use the USB cable like external floppies do instead of needed the floppy ribbon cable and the connector many motherboards no longer have. But it came quick and it works, so I'm happy.

NEEDS FLOPPY CABLE & 4 pin 12 Volt Connector
Comment:
Since it requires a floppy cable to work,it should come with one.It does not,I had one anyway, but most people wouldn't.Needs 12 volt 4 pin power connector for floppy to work also. Not all motherboards have a place to plug in a floppy cable,so check to be sure before you order it.I know, floppy's are kind of out of date anymore, but I still have a few around,so,may as well get this to do everything, for a reasonable price,IF you have 4 pin power, floppy connection on board, and 9 pin usb header available.

Does what it should
Comment:
Good product at reasonable price. Needed to have multi card and floppy, would have cost more to have them separate. It did what we expect from it without any troubles. What can we ask more, it's only a card reader after all. Will buy again this type of floppy-multicard reader. (already own two)

Great combo deal
Comment:
For as long as Windoze is around, I'll have a standard floppy drive. You can pay twice as much for either a multi card reader or a regular floppy... so why not spend half and get both? Some of the cards have to be inserted upside-down, but that's typical of card readers. I bought 2 of these units and haven't had any issues. #1 - Buy a floppy cable with it! I had to salvage them from old scrap computers. I didn't remove the clear film on one, but did on the other. No biggie. I'd recommend this product.

Good multi-function device, but has install issues
Comment:
Once hardware was installed correctly, it worked fine. However, I had several installation issues. Even a single sheet of more explicit instructions would have helped, especially for the floppy drive. It's worth the price, but you have to jump through some hoops first. I had to peel off the clear plastic coating to fit it through the plastic front cover of my B-T-O Systemax Venture VX5 case. It fits in the metal interior bay just fine. This probably voided my warranty, but had to be done to be inserted fully and correctly. A cannibalized floppy drive cable from an older system had multiple connectors that fit. However, only the one at the end *AFTER* the crossed-wiring worked. I also had to enable the correct floppy format in the system BIOS. It was able to recognize my 8GB SDHC card immediately. However, I nearly broke my card trying to insert before I discovered that SD cards are inserted *upside down*. This is annoying since CF cards are inserted normally.

So far so good
Comment:
I needed a media reader that handled SDHC cards and this fit the bill. Since my motherboard had a floppy connection, I figured I could use it for boot disks if need be. The unit does what it's supposed to and reads cards. My only gripe is that the USB internal cable should be about 6-10 inches longer. Mine reaches from its top mount in my case, but barely.

Nice Floppy/Card reader/USB port device
Comment:
I was originally just going to buy a card reader for my Dell Inspiron 530, but when I saw this one had the floppy drive as well, I figured why not. The unit works well, though I've only used an SD card and the floppy drive so far. One warning though. If you have an all SATA power supply like I did, you'll need an adapter cable to make the floppy drive work. The cable converts the SATA power plug into a 4 pin floppy driver power plug. They warn Dell users that some motherboards have different USB pin settings (mine was the proper 9 pin) but didn't mention the SATA power supply problem and they do not carry the cable you need. Other than this minor cable need I find no problems what-so-ever with this product.

Good Product at Great Price
Comment:
My computer didn't come with a floppy drive or media card reader. My old computer had it though and I really missed not having one. This one I didn't have too much problems installing. The one problem I did have wasn't Sabrent's fault...the screws' locations didn't quite match up with the drive bay where the front of the drive could be moved forward and flush with the front of the case. My son did a little experimenting and ended up leaving the front 2 screws off in order to push the drive forward far enough in the bay where it would lock in place and isn't sitting too far back from the front of the case. I have used the floppy drive and USB port - it works! I haven't had a chance to try out the media card reader yet. I really like it and am happy with the purchase! I also purchased the cables in case I needed them but didn't realize that my computer case already had them. Oh well, now I have extra cables if I need them. I would purchase this product again

It's ok
Comment:
Its reasonable priced. I liked the idea of having the card reader and floppy in the same unit, because it saves you space in the case. Its constructed well. BUT, my floppy drive does not seem to read so well. It reads about 1 out of 4 floppys, where my other systems drive can read them all. Also, its confused me at first when I inserted my SD card. It inserts upside down.

Problems?
Comment:
Truely sorry to see that there have been problems with some of these drives. This is a standard buy for me, I include this in every PC I build. The 3.5" may not see alot of use, but it is usefull to have. 3.5" disks can be used as encryption keys, bootdisks, startup config tables, passcode storage...etc PROS: This model adds a USB port to the front of you computer, making that extra USB header on the mother board more usable. The drive I recieved was metal and fully assymbled included mounting screes, however I opted to use ones, that matched my other case screws...picky me... CONS: The Flat USB cable is awkward to route and looks out of place in a rounded cable environment. The computer had to be opened and the drive installed, had to change the BIOS... ;P

Wanted a Floppy Drive, Got Much More!
Comment:
All I needed was a floppy Drive, but for a few more dollars have a multi-card reader. Reads my xD Cards with ease and fits within the floppy bay drive space. I rarely need a floppy drive but love the media card reader as I often swap files and photos with friends using any card they use. What a Great Idea! I Love it!
