I ordered this unit and I received a different smaller black one not the 4 in. silver one you see that was lucky to pick up a WHIFI at 90 feet with 1 bar of strength. If you want what the picture shows forget about it and if you expect a long range forget about it. The 400 Meters(1312.33 Feet) is a Dream in the making.

USing with windows 7 without software and works very good. I hooked it up to an extension usb to position it and it gets a very good signal. Haven't used on a N router yet.

If the signal strength drops below 40%, the adapter just cuts out. Not a good choice for extending your range. My old wireless-G that I was trying to replace actually works better because it can still operate on a relatively weak signal.

I can't get it to operate over 135Mbps with my N mimo router running it through a USB 2.0 port.

I just replaced my linksys PCI wireless card with this usb card. All I can say is WOW. My speed increased two fold on the g router and when I upgraded the router to N, my speed went from 4 to 10. So, if you're looking for an easy upgrade with windows 7, this is the deal. It found the new drivers for 64 bit right off the bat when I updated drivers through windows. I have now purchased the refurbished Linksys router and this setup is the fasted screaming internet hookup I have ever had. Speedtest verifies the change in speed. My old linksys pci card never worked correctly under Win 7 for some reason and now I have a new screaming computer it appears. Best upgrade I have ever purchased.

This product was unable to pull a strong signal downstairs when the base wireless modem was upstairs. We have moved the computer upstairs and the product performs quite nicely.

It was very easy to install and has a good range on it. No ptoblems would definitely buy another one if I needed it. However the only drawback to this is that it is fragile and can easily be bend or damaged. Other than that it is exactly as advertised. Love it.

This was for my wifes new PC. Installed the software and pluged it in. Worked first time, but lost connection a few times. After several failures to stay connected it has finally stayed connected now for several weeks.

This item is on an old PC at a distance from the wireless router and it works just great. I'm very pleased with it.

1 month usage. Smaller form factor than the one shown. Running on an HP laptop with Vista 32 bit and connected to DL Extreme 655 router. Had to download and install latest drivers in order to establish WPA2. Periodic disconnects but it can automatically re-connect. Documentation can use improvement. Advanced features are too cryptic.

I installed these on some old XP equipment I have and they worked great. Very little effort was needed to install them. One device kept getting the blue screen, so I just reinstalled the drivers and it works fine now.

The product works great, but if you use it with a laptop (as I do) it's prone to being bent, and there isn't much resistence if it does. Overall, great product!!!

I received it in quick fashion but it was not compatible winth Windows Me on my daughters pc. Called the manufacturer and still could not get it to install right. Drivers have some issues with Win Me.

Works great on 2000, XP, VISTA on desktops, laptops and netbooks. Easy install and better performance and range than non-802N connections. Now what to do with all the ethernet cables?

This is a great adapter. Can't beat the price or performance on this. Setup went great, and the performance on this adapter is much stronger and faster than the crappy Linksys adapter I replaced. The only complaint I have is that they need someone with a better grasp of English to write the User Manual.

I've used this on two different XP computers in my home and haven't had an issue. I examined previous reviews to sort through the installation procedure, and this helped greatly.
