Sabrent USB-802N Wireless N Network Adapter - 300Mbps, 802.11n, USB 2.0

This device keeps me company while working at my home office doing electronic design by popping up messages telling me when it has reconnected to the wireless network that it loses contact with frequently. The adapter is connected to a desktop that never moves and is supposed to communicate with a wireless router that is also completely stationary. I went cheap, now I'm sad. P.S. I had to change the security settings on the router and all the other computers on the network since the drivers do not support WPA 2. I have NEVER bothered to review a product purchase before now, but I hope to help others keep from wasting time and money on this adapter.

body right next to USB connector is too wide for space near USB connector on my micro desktop PCs(Think Centre). In addition, It connected to Belkin N Router as my notebook with G adopter. But, It works and it's inexpensive... very...

I bought 2 for an older HP and another Intel based 32bit PC, both running Window XP Home version. Installations were fine for both computers, but wireless reception was inconsistent for the HP when booted up, sometimes had to reboot several times. Reception was fine for the other more modern Intel based PC, but when uploading picture files to web sites like Photoshop or Kodak, Window XP crashed every time. The problem was traced to the Sabrent adapter and not the router (TP-Link Wireless N. Laptops with integral wireless adaptors when used with the same router work fine. I want my money back, but unfortunately threw away all the packagings when testing the adapter on/off over 10 days. Bad experience!

The only problem was Setup/widows, with my 54GS works very good, from 1st floor to 2nd floor the other end of house.

Simple installationl-Works perfect-installed on a desktop approx 50 ft from wireless modem on a different floor level. No problems at all.

Easy to install, but doesn't work. I have the router in one room and this item in the next room. Less than 40% signal. That is not going to work for me at all. I will be returning this product.

when i ordered this product i was needing it for a second computer well it became my first the other one i had was a D-link and it died and never worked well this baby went right in and is real strong 135 m b s ok i am getting another

Had this product for only a few short weeks. Then one day it was dead and could not be revived. Why, I don't know. Unfortunately threw out the packing after it worked for a couple of weeks. My mistake. Could not return it.

I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but this thing was nothing but a hassle for me. Wouldn't install at first, kept getting error message that it didnt exist. Took seven hours before I got it to work right.There is no documentation with it, just an outdated cd without any instructions. It wasnt plug and play for me.

Work very well. Easy to install (Install the driver only). Get it to work in less than 5 minutes. I recommend it to everyone.

Tried using internal wifi card and got between 1-18mps....and was only 100 feet or less away in another room...took a chance and bought this Sabrent USB Network Adapter and WOOHOO! i now run min. 135mps! im sure with the right "tweaking" i can get better...but within 10min.(cuz i never used Wifi before, it could be quicker) i was connected and surfing the net! Get the drivers from the website...it works the best...it does get pretty warm...but i have been using it for a month and no problems...NOTE: plastic casing is a little oversized so USB port next to the one you are using may not be accessible. Also, make sure surface of USB port is flat...my ports are on the front of the tower and there is a small ridge of plastic that prevents the Adapter from seating all the way in...making it feel a little loose...but so far not a problem...my son has been playing WOW and regular Warcraft online using this and no issues...BUY IT!

i recently bought this and everything is fine but during my game play, particularly Warcrart III custom mod Dota, i occasionally get froze for 5 seconds and as any dota players should know how disadvantage that is. In the end, it is great but not user-friendly. lots of features make it complicated to make it work properly.

Seems like a good product, but the body is too large to fit into my front USB ports on Sony Vaio. Agree with comment about not using install CD, just load driver.

After struggling with other products that never worked as soon as you moved with your laptop a few feet away from your wireless router...all I can say is: THIS SABRENT USB 2.0 IS THE BEST THING UNDER THE SUN. All I did was plug it in and let plug and play do the rest. I am buying two more for all my wireless devices with an usb port.

it connects just fine, stays connected for long periods of time (even thru the storms!), even if it loses the connection its easy to connect again. I like the product and its def a good deal!

As noted in many previous reviews, DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED CD!!! By the time I installed the adapter I had forgot and it totally hosed up my system. It has taken me over 24 hours to bring my system back to normal. I have since installed the driver only (from the website) and have had no problems. I am averaging 135Mbps which is not too bad. A couple of times I have seen 180Mbps but not sustained. Nonetheless, great value and performance. Features are okay, and quality/build is a little fragile. Overall I would still definately recommend this product.
