Got this disc drive for 20 dollars on sale and it does everything I need. It burns and writes CD and DVDs the only reason to spend any more money then this is to read and/or write Blu Rays.

Pick this up for a quick system built. On sale at $17.99 how can you lose. Does what it suppose to do with no issues.

I bought this drive on sale, like many others. Most DVD burners above 16X are very comparable in terms of performance, noise, etc.

It's getting to the point with DVD burners that it almost doesn't really matter anymore which one you buy, so long as it works - and it does. It's a bit noisy at times when reading CDs, but so are most. Once Blu-Ray burners get realistic pricing, I'm sure they'll replace these ... but in the meantime, this will do.

I got this DVD writer for 19.99 when it was on special and i love this drive because it writes most of my 4gb movies in 4 mins..nice

So far this drive has been treating me great. The only noticeable weakness is that it is loud on occasion. It might be a problem with my media because it doesn't happen all the time. The black drive fits perfect with my black case, and the drive itself hasn't had any problems. Great purchase for a low price!

Got this DVD drive a while back. It's working fine so far.No dud CDs or DVDs yet.It's noisier than my old PATA Pioneer drive - but what would you expect for the price? It still makes less noise than most LG drives.

using another dvd that can't even read 2 dvd content but this drive can & recover 1/2 of the content so very happy. tis is a good drive so hopefully it will last a couple years like my old LG.

There is not much to say about a DVD drive nowdays. Nevertheless, this one has been performing well since day one. It is a bit noisy but that should expected for a DVD drive. Blu-ray drives are too expensive at this point to be considered.

Well it worked for one day and the next day the lazer wouldn't read anything. It guess it was my turn I suppose, I had problems with samsung hdtvs in the past and swore I will never buy their product again. The next day the lazer wouldn't read anything at all, however ncix exchanged it no questions asked. There was a slight nick on the front top of the paint, however no one is going to notice. It's a good drive and it should work for most people, I just had bad luck. However it's working now at least, it looks great with my case so I gave it three stars as satisfactory since it was replaced.

Great DVD drive for the price i use them in almost every system i build. I just resontly bought 2 and i have 2 more for about a year and no problems

Its a cheap dvd burner, can you ask for more? They are great for cheap builds when on sale. They are not to loud too, which is nice.

Bought this dvd burner during a sale for 19.99 and i think it worth the price. Did not have any problem since i install it and did not have any problem while burning any kind of dvd. Great look on a black case. I recommend this item for any king of PC.

Bought it at $20 when it was on sale. Great value for the money. It is 24x, which is an extra nice thing about this DVD/CD burner when you compare to 22x.

I just don't usually care about the optical drive. It's there to install the OS, burn the odd Linux ISO, backup the odd file or install a new game that wasn't bought on steam.This was the cheapest one the day I needed one, so it was purchased.I wouldn't care if this or any other model was the cheapest one the next time I need an optical drive.

For $20, you cant go wrong with this. Havent had any issues with reading some old burnt cd's. It sits nice and flush in my case. Havent had any problems with burning either.

i bought two of this and put in my gaming pc. it works, nice looking with my black case. reads and writes no problem.

I got this on sale for 20 bucks and say its alright. Only used it for reading cd/dvd, can't say too much about its writing abilities.

Only had this for 7 days so far so cant really tell it's reliability however it reads/writes on everything I've thrown at it so far. I would buy again.

It's a good SATA DVD writer but if I have a choice, I would buy the LG one. It is funny that this DVD writer can shake my whole tower during the burning position. I guess my PC is to light.
