Cons:Nothing really, manufactured in China?
Pros:Virtually silent, not kidding either. I have to put my ear to it to see if it's on. Doesn't get very hot. |

Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 3.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:not 7200rpm
Pros:lots of space Comment:
This drive is perfect for storage, lots of space for the price! The lower speed doesn't really matter if used as a data drive. In the end, the throughput is comparable to other drives, as the higher platter density offsets the lower rotational speed. |

Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 3.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:- Having to RMA the drive if it was bad... Very happy that it was not!
Pros:- Price point $69 on sale can not be beat locally. Comment:
Love the price, not much for not buying a drive locally but I was willing to take the chance for the cost savings. No issues with the drive works great. |

Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 3.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:none
Pros:good value, high capacity Comment:
This sata3 2TB is a very good value HD. If you need a backup HD this is the one. I use it on an external docking station with USB 3.0, speed is quite acceptable. Also, did use internally on a SATA3 plug and the speed is just a bit faster than SATA2. |

Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 3.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
No problems or weaknesses those far
Pros: Amazing price pointFarely fast for storage drive Comment:
These are almost always on sale at around 69.99 and that is a steal as far as I am concerned. Quite fast and a ton of storage for the price. I am using these in my computer and a network server and have had zero problems with them thus far. Will definitely buy again when more storage is needed. Have also used the WD 2 TB Green HDD's and I think these easily keep up, if not beat them in performance and consistency. Highly recommend these to anyone. |

Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 3.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
low RPM
Pros: Price for size Comment:
I recently made the switch from Western Digital to Seagate Hard Drives after purchasing approx 12-15 Hard drives from Western Digital and their customer support giving me a very hard time. So far I don't have any issues with either of the 2 hard drives I purchased (I bought 2 of these). However I would have liked them to be 7200RPM. But for the price you really can't complain |

Cons:

Pros: Inexpensive, quiet, and fast for a green drive Comment:
I purchased this to put in a Windows 2011 Home Server system. I am pleasantly surprised how quick the drive is, and I can't hear it at all. I can see a couple more of these going in the system in the very near future. |

Cons:

Pros: Low Power (Green)Decent performance for a low power drive.Faster then the previous generation LP drives. Comment:
I have several of the previous generation Seagate LP 2Tb drives. I grabbed a couple of these on sale and they have much better performance then the previous generation and still beat out the WD Greens for most uses. Would definately recommend these for Home Servers or lower speed storage. |

Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 3.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
-Slower access times-Reported failures on the net
Pros: +Cheap+Fast for 5900rmps Comment:
Got this drive for a external enclosure(file backups). Works well and is quiet. Since it is not used often(just incremental backups so only on for a few minutes at a time), I put more time testing it then it will get used in the enclosure anyway. Seems good so far.I am thinking of getting on of these to replace 2 storage drives, just a bit worried about reports of early failure. But that is what backups are for :) |

Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 3.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
Nothing noticeable.
Pros: Large space. Best performing green drive I've used. No data loss so far. Quiet. Comment:
This is the best performing green drive I've used so far. The review of some previous Seagate products made me worry quite a bit, but there is no data loss or unexpected slow down. This drive is used with an external USB/SATA enclosure and I have yet to come close to filling it up yet. Time will tell with longer hours and higher capacity usages. |

I bought this to use with a Antec external hard drive enclosure and am very happy with the combo. Does not have the reputation of WD but it was cheaper and faster then the comparably priced WD green. |

Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 3.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
- Access times- Reliability of firmware questionable
Pros: - Faster than WD Green- 4K Sector- Price is affordable Comment:
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any really good drives on the market currently for mass storage as all the Green drives seem to have some kind of issue with them be it idle head parking issues, firmware issues or manufacturing quality. I decided to go with this drive after quite a few places had posted favorable reviews of the drive. Having to deal with WDIdle3 to me just seems like the drive is broken to start with so I wanted to avoid that. I received the C32 firmware drive from NCIX. Installation and formating in Windows 7 was smooth and I haven't had any issues yet. HDTune benchmarks shows 100MB/s+ on a SATA r1 1.5GB/S port which was more than sufficient for what I wanted it for. The drive is rated SATA r3 6GB/S but it still didn't saturate the 1.5GB/S but it was close. It has a 3 year warranty, down from them previous 5 year. (http://www.zdnet.com/blog/hardware/seagate-slashes-warranty-from-5-years-to-3-on-selected-bare-drives/3188) Overall for $70, its hard to beat the GB/$ on these green drives. |

Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 3.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
Seems to have more problems than other brands.
Pros: Faster than most drives. Doesn't do head parking on idle. Comment:
So far so good. I can't really comment on its reliability since this is my first Seagate hard drive. But at least it does do the annoying head parking on idle like the WD Greens (WD10EADS). |

Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 3.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
complete drive failure after first 3 hours of use
Pros: cheap when on sale Comment:
Firstly, my rating is 1 star, but they wouldn't let me post this unless I surrender my order # to rate it lower than 3. I happen to value my anonymity as well as the sales person's identity (who actually did tell me Seagates are good drives).I knew of Seagate's reputation of the recent years (I still have a couple of SCSIs from that that still works after 15 years), and I took a gamble and lost.In a RAID 1, SOHO NAS (4k compatible), the setup with two of these drives went smoothly and the performance was better than the WD EARS(on the same NAS, network, and systems).Right after the initial setup in the NAS, I noticed SMART reports indicated more than 65,000 errors on both drives (forgot which errors) right after the raid setup, which was only 10 mins. after the drives were freshly installed. I started to perform cross network backup right away, after the third hour into the backup, one of them failed and would not come back online despite rebooting attempts. There's no point in RMA and get another one of these things. I'm spending my money on last few real Hitachi's before they all become WD drives with the Hitachi stickers on them.Guys, guard your time well and spend a bit more on a more reliable product and save your time. Your time is the most precious resource you have! Like I always tell people: "You can always make more money, but which one of us can make more time?" |

Cons:
-not as fast as say the black series
Pros: -TONS of memory at low cost-has average performance Comment:
Bought it as an expansion drive to store my huge library of anime. As i use a solid state drive for my OS drive the speed difference is noticable, but the huge drive size totally makes up for it. |
